Concrete Revolutio: Superhuman Fantasy: This is by BONES's Star Driver/Captain Earth team, isn't it? It's got the campiness of the former and the "what the fuck is going on, explain things please!" nature of the latter. Might have to give this one a few episode to see if it shapes up; the director has a pedigree to be sure, but the directing for the first episode was too haphazard and confusing, and it was no doubt by design. I got the gist of what was going on, but starting off like that is a good way to alienate your audience real quick. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it to the end without going blind from the color palette at any rate.
One-Punch Man: Easily the definitive summer blockbuster of the season, what with the high-octane animation (the 1080p encode is almost one gigabyte Jesus Christ!), high-octane soundtrack, and high-octane JAM Project opening. Entertaining, funny, and a little bit disjointed (down to the nature of the source material as I understand it) it's definitely going to be the anime of the season for a lot of people. I had to laugh at how graphic the gibbing could be thanks to all the opponents being monsters.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans: Kind of an unwieldy title compared to past Gundam shows. I did enjoy the premiere for how relatively understated and 8th MS Team-like it was compared to most of the other recent shows. I didn't care for MS Team's character drama all that much, but its action was definitely superb, so it'll be nice if this can retain that feel to an extent. I've seen lots of groaning over how the director and writer can't do convincing character drama to save their lives, and to that I say "Have you ever really watched Gundam? They'd fit right in!" It also seems to be giving the finger to Aldnoah.Zero, which is a plus in my book. Let's see how many Gundam cliches it'll tick off before it's over…
