Two word's "Marvel Animation" people don't exactly like most of the animated material Marvel's been churning out since 2009. Earth's Mightiest Heroes being the one exception.
-
Jessica Jones premieres November 20th on Netflix.
-
So damn hyped for Jessica Jones.
-
Would have liked a trailer.
Looking forwards to guardians f the galaxy, storyline about cosmic seed sounds great.
DC need to get off their asses and create a shared animated universe like they did a decade ago.

Gonna be hard to do that with Kids WB being dead and Cartoon Network hating cartoons that lean too heavily on the action spectrum.

I read last week it is possible a new Justice League series is on the way next year. I hope they do, its be nice to have that, a batman series, a new Superman series, and even Green Lantern…..
But for now I'll make do with the MACU.....
-
Truth be told the MAU has shaky continuity at times though which is how Hulk could be in three different shows and have vastly different personalities though they've since resolved this…....partially and confusingly.

I'm late to the party, but I finally watched Daredevil and I have to say it was my favorite thing I watched on TV in 2015 (I don't think anything is going to top it, really). I can't think of a single negative thing to say. Well, except maybe that I thought his ghetto suit looked more cool, but I expected to have that feeling the moment I started watching. I've never read Daredevil comics, so there isn't much that would be jarring to me continuity-wise. I just went in with a clean slate.
The upside of waiting to watch it is I have less time to wait until season two.

Skye's new outfit revealed for coming season. Very well done IMO. Can't wait for AOS to return….

lol that was pretty funny

snort
Jessica Jones is sadly another Marvel heroine I know jack about. I just know she gets together with Luke Cage at some point.

Same here.
Whenever I hear Jessica Jones, I think of the red red from "who framed roger rabbit"But if its half as good as Daredevil then I'm super pumped. Always like finding out about new heroes.

Agents of Shield, Episode 1 of Season … 3? Of a whedonesque show? What a time to be (a)live-watching.
! Everything is getting set up for the seaon so I'm not really sure what to comment on. Whatever stuck with me, I guess.
! I was looking forward to Constance Zimmer being the new Big Bad after having watched UnREAL. She had the same intimidating air around her in both shows. Apparently she's not gonna be the actual villain but the head of an antagonistic government institution but that should work just fine for her.
! They tricked me for a moment when I thought Lincoln had suddenly become murder-crazy. His and Daisy's (that's right) fight against some monster…thing had a little too many crazy effects for my taste. That is to say, I don't need to see this every week. Oh, and Lincoln is a doctor!
! And Bobbi is a biologist! At least until she's ready to go into the field again. I'm not totally sure what her relationship with Hunter is all about right now but I assume that's the point. I'm still enjoying their scenes immensely. It's cool that the two of them now have a personal reason to hate Ward like all the original team members do.
! Speaking of all the original team members left, Coulson and Fitz had a great talk at the end of the episode. Iain de Caestecker can act, you guys! And Fitz can still be my favourite thing about the show, no surprise there.
! I had totally forgotten about May until Coulson mentioned her. I blame it on a lot of different things happening in this first episode. So is she out on some mission or actually enjoying her free time? I do want to find out.
! And finally, I don't know if I was in a weird mood or something but several things in this episode made me thing of other Whedon shows. A whole new spoiler tag for those who care.
! >! That Hebrew word for Death is some sort of Shanshu in LA thing, right? It's gonna be rebirth or something? At least that's what I thought until we saw Simmons had been relocated to actual Quor'Toth! Or possibly Pylea? Looks like Jemma has been able to get accomodated somewhat. She'll become the Destroyer in no time.
! Oh, and the whole "You have to let them go, Fitz/Buffy. Simmons/Angel is dead or possibly in a hell dimension/dead or possibly in a hell dimension!" Cue Angel immediately coming back. Fortunately Simmons didn't. That would have cheapened the whole point here. I wonder how many things I don't get because I don't know my comics. ATCU? Electricity monster/Inhuman? Jemma's escapades on another planet? But that's okay because I'm looking forward to finding out on the show. -
! Good opening episode. So Sky is now called Daisy by everyone. It was good we got to see the President of the USA again finally for that speech. It all kinda seems to be leading up to the events of CIVIL war. First the stuff with these powered people and then the powered superhoes…..
Fitz was a bit of a badass this episode. I like this more confident version of him...
And wow....Simmons was transported to some Alien world..... -
! I'm guessing the Alien World that Simmons ended up is Hala which is where Captain Marvel was born.
-
Oh Leo you so fine you so fine you blow my mind hey Leo hey hey hey Leo
-
! I'm guessing the Alien World that Simmons ended up is Hala which is where Captain Marvel was born.
! Is there any resemblance of this world she is on with how the Kree homeworld has been depicted in the comics?
She appears to be on a deserted place…..2 moons........ -
This should be Mac's weapon
-
SHIELD is back!
! Interesting Shield is replaced with a new organization. I thought it would become a government organization again at some point.
! Mac is fantastic. Love everything he says and does. He's gotta guest star on Marvel's Most Wanted when it starts.
! That computer simulation said the entire world population will come in contact with terrigen stuff in seventeen months. How in the world are they gonna awaken all the Inhumans and not show us the royal family? Marvel has to be planning something. It's gonna get to the point where not seeing at least one member of the Inhuman royal family doesn't make sense.
! Simmons off-planet! Have no idea where they're going with this but I love it.
! Forgot about May too Huschel. So much happened she slipped though without notice. Hope she's either relaxing, hunting Ward or both.Oh Leo you so fine you so fine you blow my mind hey Leo hey hey hey Leo
Sky was looking fine too. Hee hee.
-
skye will always be skye. even with that ugly haircut and those broad shoulders and unsuited pants.
fuck daisy.
and same with may for me, haha.
! My guess where she is: with her (ex)husband
! Also, SHIELD meets Avatar. -

I'm digging the tone of thisSo am I.
sigh Guess I really should get Netflix.
-
! Seems we all struggled to remember May. I had this weird feeling the entire episode that somebody was missing(other than Simmons), but couldn't remember who for the life of me until Coulson mentioned her.
-
I spent the last week catching up on AoS since I had a hard time getting past episode 4 seasob 1. Glad I finally caught up. Leo is definitely my favorite, with May, Mack and Hunter close behind. Skye/Daisy is kinda meh, Coulson is cool, Simmons was cool then after "the change" she lost me.
Season 3 is starting off crazily.
I'm enjoying it now. I wish I could muster up the energy to watch Agent Carter. But it probably won't happen.
-
So am I.
sigh Guess I really should get Netflix.
You should have got it for Daredevil already :).
Wait for November when this comes out and use the Free Trial to watch both series.
I hope the series is as good as Daredevil and I'm not much of a Jessica Jones fan either since I haven't read Alias and I know her basicaly and Luke wife, thats where I usually see her in current comics but this casting was so weird, they got Daredevil and Luke Cage right they look like great representations but this girl looks nothing like Jessica, Jessica is tanned and has brown hair, this girl has black hair and is as pale as a white wall but I guess at the end of the day if she does a good job I'll be happy anyway.
–----
I really want news on Iron fist series, Luke Cage series has begun filming and we don't even know who is playing Ironfist yet so I assume even though it should be obvious Danny isn't appearing on Luke series...

AoS Season 3, episode 2
! We have more focus this week. Some more setup by putting this (half?) season's players on the field but a big plot point gets resolved surprisingly quickly too.
! We start in Gloucestershire in 1839. What is this, Doctor Who? So these guys apparently studied the monolith or maybe they were just trying to pass the time as it doesn't seem like they were hoping for much progress on the issue. Some years later we pick up where the last episode ended and the team gets Fitz away from the alien rock. Which then gets triggered into liquifying, presumably due to vibrations on the other side. Our favourite desperate scientist discovers sand that some very, very progressed carbon dating can identify as being over a billion years older than Earth. So they figure out it's a portal and visit the resident (relatively speaking) expert who turns out to be Professor Asgard from S1. That was neat. He brings the story back to Gloucestershire, Skye uses her powers constructively desconstructive, Fitz figures being reckless paid off once so he might as well do it again and puts Skye and possibly everybody in the castle in danger by forcing her to keep the portal going. And then the show made me mad! And happy! And so mad! Will they or won't they come back?! Did they get off the plane??!
! Yes, yes they did.
! The monolith is gone so I guess the other planet wasn't the point. It's whatever Simmons brought back from there…
! So that whole story was pretty neat and nicely paced.
! Hunter seeks out Mellie (that's right) May for his little mission. But she'd rather take care of her father who is hard-pressed to do anything but compare her to her mother. Eventually he does manage to form an inspiring ice skating analogy that makes Melinda change her mind. I think that worked pretty well, actually. If the whole thing had happened in one scene it would have been trite but bringing up the ice skating more or less organically first and then using it later was a good call. Less plot points this episode, so more breathing room.
! The only other storyline is Ward recruiting finances and a name, who then approaches psychologist Andrew Garner. A smart move because informing that man on what is happening in Shield seems to be everybody's top priority. Actually, interestingly enough, Garner makes his way into every plot line one way or another.
! Whedon things
! >! Oh hey Spencer Treat Clark aka Borachio. How long will it take you to meet Leonato? Or possibly a certain cellist. -

I think they were basically the Shield of the time period. It did feel rather pointless though it didn't really feel like it contributed to the episode at all unless I'm just missing something
man this ep was amazing.
! so glad Gemma is alive that entire scene had me on the edge of my feet lol and we have Ward trying to revive Hydra once again and I still hate his guts and we get to see Mae again she'll likely come back so that's good.
-

! They were the ones that did the research to create the machine that allowed them to get Gemma back?
! I literally jumped when she came up from the rubble. Good episode. -

! I take it you mean Ward is trying to revive Hydra?
! I did really like this episode. I was so worried Simmons would be stuck again. Fitz was definitely losing it. So now that Simmons is back I guess it's her turn to be the broken person for a bit.
! I'm probably never not gonna laugh when Coulson messes up calling Daisy Skye. It's such a weird name for someone that is a hacker and vibrationist…I hope she gets a code name that's a bit more fitting. -

Have another Jessica jones promo, this time hyping the villain
Based on what I've read on the Purple Man, if they can make David Tennant half as nasty (and he sure sounds nasty here) it'll be a treat to watch.
-
After how awesome Daredevil was, I am SO Hyped for Jessica Jones! Bring it on Marvel!
I'm just wondering how they're gonna do Luke Cage… he's gonna appear in this first, before he gets his own series... will his origin be mentioned here? Will he just be a guy in this story, and his origin will be touched on in his solo series? When does this take place in relation to the upcoming Luke Cage series?
Also, I can't wait for Luke Cage or Iron Fist either! They'd better cross over some... I wants me some Heroes for Hire!

looks up the Purple Man on Wiki Damn, this should be good. Any actor with Shakespearean training playing a villain is always good.

First episode of Jessica Jones was screened at NYCC. Rave responses all around. As good if not better than Daredevil. Content is very mature, they don't shy away from the source material. Jess is a human wreck and an alcoholic, Purple Man is terrifying.
-
Sounds great! Hopefully, they can keep up the quality throughout the season!
-
Hee.
It should be a requirement for all villain roles. "Must take class in Shakespearean acting."
-
Apparently, Marvel surprised the panel goers at NYCC with the full Pilot episode of Jessica Jones, and it's getting RAVE Reviews from the folks that saw it.
Hype levels are growing.
-
Im friend with one of the people making the international dub for Jessica Jones, and she told me the series is pretty dark, not for kids at all. The purple man is going to be fucked up.
-
He kind of is in the comic from what I heard due to his abilities.
-
i saw a video on youtube about the Jessica Jones/Purple Man storyline and that was pretty messed up stuff…..
! Apparently, he used his mind control powers on her to sexually abuse her. He forced her to fall in love with him, she wanted him really bad, but would psychologically torture her by forcing her to watch him have sex with other women among other fked up stuff
He broke her completely…..Even though i got the netflix, i'm wonder if i'll even watch it, i'm not into the whole really dark stuff…..
But then it has David Tennant...and i do like him so....Only stuff about Purple man i know is from that episode of Avengers:Earths Mightiest Heroes, when he essentially seized control of the world by mind controlling the Avengers.....that was an interesting storyline.
