Ha! That's funny!
Kishido are you ever a glass half full kind of guy at any time? Are you not at the very least happy that Jinbe didn't have to come to the rescue of dying Swirly Hats? Aren't you glad they got out of that mess seemingly unharmed? You've been reading this story for so long you should be able to see that we will get some sort of flash back on their adventure. We've basically been put right in the middle of a chaotic situation where characters are talking about situations and people that we have no knowledge of, of course we'll get some exposition focusing on these events.
Oh RomanceDawn… I know that he will show that as I know you see mostly everything in a good light.
For me the handling of the return after that long absence has been done dull. You like it OK. Me not. And yeah chaotic... Really fits. But at least from time to time we have in the chaos chapters as the last one or evennknow some pages of King Riku and the gang.
But while I'm even trying.
Ps
People actually missed that I said I liked the chapter that only the handling was a bit disappointed for the they SHS. Kaidou is awesome
The only bad thing I got from this chapter is that maybe we won't see Capone for a little while… But in exchange I got some more Urouge. It's a more than fair exchange =)
Anyways, Kaido's introduction was amazing, we're finally getting into the wildest parts of the New World. It's a given that whatever comes next is going to be crazy, I can't wait!

yeah they both have horns and a beard….
...UNCANNY!
We have two options:
1- Kaidou has the LUCKY LUCKY fruit were he can unconsciously change his luck to his favor.
2- Kaidou is a D. Named Kai D. Hou.
For the second case, well, he has black hair (like the 90% of the D. we saw until now excep Jaguar and Ace mother) so it's very plausible. And all the D's we saw are big "rankers" and very powerful people so it will be normal that he was a D.
What if the only way to kill Kaidou was using the same disease that killed Roger? Maybe a disease ONLY for D. people (maybe like him)
what about
IMO, there are 2 options:
Not sure what option to pick because both look as likely.
It's funny that Law say that meeting a yonkou face to face is difficult because of their huge crew. And then Kaido showed up at Kidd's backyard after failed attempted suicide. Lol
Seriously, how did Kaidou get up there!?
As many have suggested, Kaidou could have try jumping into ocean. But I guess "Yonkou Kaido drowned to death" is kinda a boring headline.
Admittedly, this chapter was a bit of mess in terms of how the contents was delivered. Sanji and co totally got overshadowed by kaidou appearance.
I bet he already tried it…after all, according to what I understood from aohige's/ms translation and the context itself,9 prison ships sank with him aboard.
And honestly,by the way he was described in this chapter…well... let's say I definitely don't picture him as a man that would scream in despair to someone save him from drowning to death.

Why not just say what you really wanted which is for Oda to show Sanji being a badass in front of Big Mom's crew rather than constantly trying to hide behind blatant bs ? It might make your posts seem less obnoxious than they already are and you won't have to resort to "look guys i said something good about the chapter didn't i ? " like a certain banned member used to do here .
Fucking hype
Kaido is about to smoke the KAH alliance (possibly in a case of mistaken identity but who gives a shit?), then kill doflamingo then start a war with everyone else.
The last major character reveal I was waiting for (i don't care about the new shichibukai). Amazing
edit - cant wait to see kaido's subordinates. I suspect drake could smoke anyone in the KAH alliance. cant wait to see the rest

You say it like it would be a wrong thing if Sanji had a badass moment agains't Big mom's pirates.
Oda made him part of the same monster trio as Luffy and Zoro for a reason. And no, not because only the first 2 must shine and beat strong foes.
@uniaka:
Sanji, Nami, Chopper, Brook ARE BACK??!!!

KAIDOU REVEAL?
KAIDOU HAS A GAG? his character sounds more interesting then Zoro's and we had like 2-3 pages about him only. He's the actual badass.
KHA vs Kaidou battle?F**k, I expected 20 pages of Fujitora gambling with Maynard.
Where the hell is that GIF from?? Lmao
Kaido looks like a beast (pun intended). I'm not sure if he's ultimately beaten by Luffy or not (Gomu Gomu no Red Hawk King Kong Gatling Gun maybe), but it definitely seems like it'll take a concerted effort amongst a lot of people to take someone like that out (KHA Alliance + maybe Luffy's alliance). Even WB couldn't defeat him (though we don't know how hard WB even tried).
Maybe I'm missing something or else getting it wrong, but… Isn't it possible that the war Kaido is talking about is actually a world war that he was working together with Doflamingo to make? That makes SMILE and Doflamingo much more important, and means that Luffy and Law's alliance actually saved the world. Also, Kaido's desire for war explains why he wanted o interfere in the Whitebeard War.
@uniaka:
IMO, there are 2 options:
- the popular 'someone used the Ope ope no mi on Kaidou and made him immortal. Ironic how the guy that wants to sucide gets it.
- There is some mythical DF that makes you unlikely to die.
Not sure what option to pick because both look as likely.
I think Perennial Youth Operation is possible, but I'm not sure it would manifest like that. With chains snapping, spears breaking and so on.
And it can also be some weird Paramecia. Sugar's Hobby fruit opened up a whole can of worms. She can turn people into toys and then everyone forgets about them? Why can't there be a devil fruit which saves you from dying as long as you think you have a purpose in life, even if subconsciously?
It would be interesting to see where his toughness stops and where the ability (if there is one) begins. Wonder if he can get hurt or is he completely immune to all damage. He has a big scar, but that might be an old thing.
Btw, wonder if Kaido is set up for dying. It would be an interesting angle if both him and the person that defeats him achieve their goals. Of course, that might mean Luffy would kill someone for the first time. Unless Oda makes him die in a different way. Like against WG as Luffy's ally later on, or something. - Imagination going a little wild, time to hit the sack.

There will definitely be a flashback of WB and Kaideeho interaction and I'm willing to bet more than just the sky split apart with that one, probably sea split in half and caused tsunamis to crash against neighbouring Islands.
Kaido sure has a terrible crew, how on earth did a guy of Kaido's size gone missing?
Kaido sure has a terrible crew, how on earth did a guy of Kaido's size gone missing?
Gone missing? Did you not read the same chapter, the dude goes where he pleases, does as he pleases, no fucks given. He probably skywalked onto that sky island, and no one can tell me he's not capable of that he's literally the embodiment of true manliness!
And it can also be some weird Paramecia. Sugar's Hobby fruit opened up a whole can of worms.
But the toy df has a whole theme going on - people who turn into toys are forgotten, the same way you don't remember/care about the toys you had as a child (think Toy Story). So if there is some sort of immortality paramecia, it would need to adhere to some sort of folklore or a concept
and maybe it's my shitty imagination, but I can't think of a single theme that could be used for immortality powers manifested in a paramecia df

Seriously, what's with the size thing. From the hole he made, it doesn't seem he's that much bigger than Kuma or Moria. Whitebeard's size at the most.
why isn't Kaidou going to Akainu and asking to get manga fisted. For now it is the best way to for in One Piece other than flashbacks
How does one get manga fisted.

The strangest thing of the chapter was the sky island floating because of balloons
Sky island wasn't floating because of the balloons. It's an island and the balloons got stuck up there after little kids lose them.

It's still a pretty abstract concept for a devil fruit, same as Ope Ope. Maybe it's just a luck factor or something. I remember reading Troy and Olympos from the author Dan Simmons. It's a science fiction work, and a crazy one at that. Achilles' quantum probability of death was set to zero by anything other than Paris' bow.
I could see Kaido having something similar. Like a fruit that gives you practical immortality and you can only die when certain conditions are met. Kaido would get a high out of trying out different methods just to see if it works, but the trick is, he never knows if he will actually die or not.
I really should go to bed. Sorry for the spoiler, it's really no biggie, or I would cover it up.

Seeing the ultimate op op no mie power as a curse rather than a plessure.
Maybe the former OOnMie user did that to Kaidou to punish him for something, which would be great material for a flashback.
Also Law meeting Kaidou would have some burning potential.
Now Kaidou is cursed to see all around him vanish, that´s why he wants to take the whole world out to end his suffering.

If he does then good for him and if he doesn't then again good for him . I am not going to sit here and pretend that Sanji can beat Big Mom's crew ( which is exactly what Kishido was hoping to see rather than you know the most logical conclusion that it's too soon and that they would obviously escape ) .
And it's extremely annoying and redundant to see Kishido whinning and bitching about Sanji not being a badass in every panel he appears or his lack of appearance in manga on a weekly basis . It wouldn't be a problem if he was straightforward about his opinion rather than constantly dressing it as something totally different when it basically all comes down to Sanji one way or another .
I would much prefer it if he was just that tough, rather than having a curse or devil fruit ability keeping him alive.
Like he's a guy that's so tough that even hell doesn't want to claim him.

Hum… I don't think it has to do with any kind of DF power. I just think Kaidou is a super tough guy. That's more Oda-ish.
Anyway... am I the only one that thinks we need a Swirlyhats mini-flashback right now?
Kaido don't like to suicide because he is depressed or cynica. He likes to suicide because he likes live like Larry the Lobster.
So, is the Sunny team venturing into their very own mini-arc? The island seems to be Zou, although I have doubts about that, and they actually have new outfits and stuff. There is "the girl" (who kinda looks like a mouse to me, as opposed to people here saying she's a deer) plot already going on, and I don't see the rest of the Straw Hats reuniting with them in some time, as it seems like there's clearly some distance between Dressrosa and probably-Zou, especially for ships without the convenience of having a fucking jet engine installed in the rear.
Because I would certainly love to see some focus on those 4. Plus we might actually get somewhere with "What's the deal with Momo" storyline, as well as Kinemon and the samurai's ties to Kaido in general. I can see a lot of potential for whatever's going to happen next.
Now that we've seen most of the emperors, it does seem that their "rule" of the new world isn't quite as serious as it seemed.
They mostly seem to dick around with their own little pet projects like cake eating, drinking, drinking and partying and suicide.
It ain't quite the WG is all i'm saying lol
I just wonder what race Kaidou, Oars, and Little Oars Jr. are. They're not giants, so they have to be their own race. Also I feel like Kaidou is gonna have a blue colour scheme. With Oars and Little Oars Jr. being red and yellow, maybe Kaidou's skin is gonna be blue.

I think it was implied that Oars is a very old experiment of the World Government. He might have been human at some point.
In Punk Hazard Law explains that the WG tried to create giants for a long time. Before the first dragon, Luffy finds a giant skull with the same horns as Oars. that's my two cents.

your colors point let me think that they are some kind of Oni ( colorfull asian ogers with horns)
You kinda get the feeling that Shanks is probably the emperor with the least amount of territory staked out.
Did we already see those girls in Urouge's crew before ?
Hooooly shieeet!!!! Kaidou… this man is the embodiment of badassness!! What a nice way to introduce a character, Oda really knows his shit.
I would much prefer it if he was just that tough, rather than having a curse or devil fruit ability keeping him alive.

I would prefer this as well.
I like how Urouge's crew has different religions.
I doubt he's the strongest pirate in the world. At most he's as strong as shanks and the others.
The stream translation sounded correct.
"Anything that crawls, land, sea air, he is the strongest CREATURE in the world.
Not the strongest pirate.
Lol you just sound like a sad, sad fan boy. Oda wrote that Kaido was the strongest creature for a reason, he wrote that WB was strongest man at the time for a reason… Kaido appears to be a giant. Man is one species. Creatures includes a plethora of species, including man. Oda is implying that Kaido is above every other fighter in the series right now, there will be a lot more development into his character and he will most likely have some crucial flaws that lead to his downfall that canmt be foreseen now explaining how he eventually will lose, but as it stands he is the greatest fighter in the series. Use some common sense because I've seen you comment this multiple times already and there is no need for you to keep repeating the same delusional statement over and over.
So I suppose he 7 solo defeat in his career?
18 capture. 40 death sentences. That's more than twice the time he got captured!! Most have been a yearly attraction at one point.
1000 toutures? How do such a tough guy end up under a torturer so many times? He got captured 18 times after all.
You know, its those parts in the history of OP that make think how would 4Kids handle if they still had One Piece.
Kaidou just wanted to fly! It didn't work this time, maybe next time will work!
"Strength was with his hands in all that he did and the feet of the strong god were untiring. From his shoulders grew a hundred heads of a snake, a fearful dragon, with dark, flickering tongues, and from under the brows of his eyes in his marvellous heads flashed fire, and fire burned from his heads as he glared. And there were voices in all his dreadful heads which uttered every kind of sound unspeakable; for at one time they made sounds such that the gods understood, but at another, the noise of a bull bellowing aloud in proud ungovernable fury; and at another, the sound of a lion, relentless of heart; and at another, sounds like whelps, wonderful to hear; and again, at another, he would hiss, so that the high mountains re-echoed."
This is the description of the strongest monster in Greek mythology so his Mythical Devil Fruit might be Typhon. There's too many coincidences for it not to be. That's so beastly.
Quick question, does the last panel imply that kaido knows about doffy's current predicament?
Is he telling doffy to hurry up and give him some smiles so he can fuck the world up, or is he saying that he is going to destroy doflamingo amd the world?

Putting you in Kaido's shoes:
Well when you get captured, you are captured. Once you are captrued you don't really get a say in what happens to you. You can get tortued multiple times a day for weeks as a result of one capture. Then they eventually decide to end your life. So they hang you, and what happens? You live. So they try it again after a few more tortures and then ut still doesn't work. You get the point?

He doesn't know Doffy was defeated and wants "Joker" to get ready for an all out war :) when he finds out of his defeat he will either rescue him or kill him. But since no one ever dies I'm going to bet that Doffy gets saved.

I think either the former, or he just got jolted really hard from the Fall and isn't speaking coherently right now I'd say

I'm also guessing that Kaido attacked Kid on accident thinking it was Luffy. This could he to a quick or forgetfulness as a result of his old age that we haven't seen yet, or it could be a result of his subordinates misinformin him as to where Luffy and Law were and gave him the location of a different Pirate Alliance instead lol. This is just a thought I had as to why he would randomly attack Kid instead of Luffy and Law

I don't get people, he was always stated as the strongest creature in the world, and still people were saying Kaido would be weaker to WB. Now they get his intro and everyone thinks he's "Roger level" or, "Prime Time WB level"
People need to understand that the Yonkou are all equal and they battle each other all the time.
He's not an immortal machine that can't be stopped, this chapter was needed to show him being worthy as a Yonkou, and he is.
guess this dispels the ridiculous theory that kaido might be franky's dad
Kaido was already told that Doffy was defeated in chapter 793
How was he told if he couldn't be found?
In that chapter he was probably already on Sky Island, or maybe that Silhouette was him and he moved right away..
Although, he's already defeated.
