@Ukimix:
I'm reading 81 Diver by Shibata Yokusaru
Now this is just my personal opinion, so don't take it seriously.
Honestly I couldn't STAND 81 Diver, and I love Air Master.
Over the years Yokusaru's signature style became way too obsessively focused in its uniqueness to the point of repetitive yet aesthetically disaster. No Yokusaru, you do not have to spam the pages with font size 200pts bold text in every single page. No, going over the edge is no longer refreshing or going over the edge if you do it every other page.
It was getting to the point like if you were reading One Piece but every single page consisted of DON DON DON DON spreads.
Also the drama felt far more forced and un-engaging compared to his Air Master days. Although to be honest, I think he was starting to go that route towards the end of that series, so it was a natural (de)evolution I suppose.
It was one of the few titles in YJ that I just skipped entirely after a while.
I have a similar gripe about Tooru Fujisawa as well, he doesn't have the magic he had during GTO days either.
