It might take another miracle like this
to ultimately make it in the playoffs but I'm bought in. Screw the lottery, we're going to get some nice picks from Brooklyn in the next few years. Can't wait to steal a game against Atlanta or Cleveland

Oh snap, the Pelicans have the 8th seed! I mean, ew the Pelicans have the 8th seed…

"David Stern laugh"
In comparison to the NBA, March Madness was one of the most painful things I've watched lately (not just one game, but the entire tournament was a nonstop stream of games that could have just as easily been fixed as far as the average fan knows). The officiating is night and day. I'm ready for college basketball to have its Donaughy scandal. I might not even bother to watch it next year.
Westbrook could end up being All-NBA Second Team this year after all those triple doubles lol. Too bad he's in the same league as Curry and Harden.
Wow it seems that Miami will miss the playoffs. Unexpected
Actually I prefer to see Pelicans in the playoffs. Yeah it will be a sweep, but with OKC it will be the same. I really want to see want Anthony Davis can do in the playoffs.
I was hoping The BEARD would triumph against Spurs but didn't happen!!!!

God damn, I blinked and Rockets went from 2nd to 6th seed

West Conference is crazy. After this I have no doubts that Curry will win the MVP.

Harden's saving grace was holding down the 2nd seed, but it's just a battle of inches at this point. Unless Memphis loses 2 of their last 3, Houston's ceiling will be the 3rd seed. Even then, they'll have to hope for the ruthless Spurs to lose a game

The schedule is more favorable to Rockets, the only tough game thay have is with Pelicans. Memphis plays with Clippers, GSW and Indiana who is fighting for playoffs. Spurs won´t loose to nobody xD
Just realized that all 5 teams from Southwest Division can play in the playoffs xD
Couldn't have happened to any two other mediocre teams.

At least Orlando has a lot of talented young players and maybe will have bright future. Knicks are so, so, so bad that I can´t even describe them.
Wow, those 3 first games today were terrible as fu.ck.
At least later we have OKC-Indiana and NO-Houston to fix it xD
I'll be rooting for OKC because I want them in the playoffs and it'll guarantee that the Celtics make it as well

I want Boston in the playoffs too, but I really want to see what Anthony Davis can do in playoffs. It can be a sweep, but still xD
OKC with Durant, Ibaka, without all those injuries an with Westbrook on fire could be a legit contender. Without them it can be a sweep too xD
Westbrook just shot the ball 43 times in 40 minutes
the drama that willcome from the last game OKC vs MIN and NO vs SA…cant wait!!!!!
go minny go pelicans
go minny go pelicans
I really want Spurs to lose the game but wouldn't like it when OKC misses out on the playoffs!
Go OKC!!

Im a cavaliers fan although I would like OKC to snag another lotto incase KD and Westbrook walk you guys will still have talent left kind sir
So the regular season ends tomorrow and not one playoff matchup is set in stone yet. This is madness.
I like OKC a lot, but this year they better rest and get healthy for the next season. I have big expectations for them. Said that… Go Pelicans xD
I really to Indiana to loose it today, so tomorrow we will see some isane battles for 8 spot in the West and in the East xD
Woo, got a date with the Cavs. Time to get steamrolled. I hope the Celtics put up a convincing fight for at least 2 of the 4 losses.
The other 7 matchups won't be decided until tomorrow :O

Good luck kind sir I hope my Cavs sweep though
Been a tough few seasons for my Cavs but LBJ gonna win us a ring hopefully
Sorry OKC, I like but this year is not yours. Go Pelicans!!! xD
Yeah it will be dificult against SA considering the fact that they need this win too, but at least they have to fight an Anthony Davis needs to have his Big Night.
I prefer Indiana to come from the East. Let see what they can do against Atlanta with Paul Goerge healthy. He´s not 100% I know, but still…
Just like that, the Rockets are back as the 2nd seed XD

So OKC are out!! But on the bright side Spurs lost the game hehhehe still happy well done Pelicans.
Its also been long since all teams from the same division Southwest all qualify for the playoffs.

Yeah playoffs gonna be so dope this year
Gonna ne so dope when the Mavs upset the Rockets too
Just like that, the Rockets are back as the 2nd seed XD
Yeah that I was looking forward to…
Taking in the seedings and health of teams right now, I gotta go with the Warriors to take it all. Voting Spurs or Cavs is tempting but that historical beatdown that the Warriors have given every team this season(except the Cavs I think) has got to translate to the playoffs.
I'll throw down some series picks later
Really looking forward to this. I like the Warriors out West a lot, but it'll be nice to see the brow in the playoffs anyway. Meanwhile the Cavs are starting to look like they'll be virtually unbeatable until the day that Lebron finally breaks. Mosgov/JR/Shump were possibly the best midseason trades for role players I've ever seen. I'm curious to see them play a full series against the Hawks. Shoutout to the Celtics trade for IT, though. I don't think they make the playoffs without him. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies had the legit 2nd best team in the West and then traded for Jeff Green, and now they're a team that looks like they'll lose in the first round. The Mavs didn't have enough, mortgaged assets for Rondo, and didn't really get any better. The Blazers trade for Afflalo only to rediscover that God hates the Blazers. The Heat sold a farm's worth of future picks on Dragic and went from 7th seed in the East to "hey, we'll keep our top 10 protected pick we still owe Philly probably." I'm somewhat convinced that the Heat are the new Nets. The Suns sold the farm for Brandon Knight and went from 8th seed straight down to laughably out of contention. And finally the Bucks swapped Knight for MCW and managed to tread water despite springing a few leaks.
I'll get to see the Bucks/Bulls series in person. Cavs tickets are way too expensive so I don't even entertain that thought. But great lower level tickets to a rivalry playoff series. Should be fun. Bulls are obviously the favorites but by no means a lock. I've been low on this particular Bulls team all year, I care not for their 50 wins, and I'm all in on the Bucks rebuild with Giannis, Middleton, MCW, and eventually Jabari. Going with the unlikely upset. Bucks in 6.
I have no idea what to think of Raps/Wizards. I don't like either team, but one of them has to win. Clippers/Spurs is another one that bugs the hell out of me but for different reasons. But in the end I think the matchup favors the Clippers. Leonard is the Spurs defensive ace, but the Clippers don't have any offensive wings. And Parker hasn't looked like he's in any shape to deal with Chris Paul for an entire series.
Hawks in 4
Raptors in 7
Bucks in 6
Cavs in 4
Warriors in 5
Blazers in 7
Clippers in 6
Rockets in 6
All I really want is a Spurs-Warriors and Cavs-Hawks conference final. Seven games preferred.
(1) Warriors vs. (8) Pelicans
Who wins: Warriors in 5
Who I want to win: Warriors
Davis is going to have a hell of series despite being covered by Green, but it'll only be enough to win a game. 3 of the 5 games will be blowouts for GS. The Warriors have an elite defense despite playing at a fast pace and it's sort of terrifying. That translates to big runs, which are further inflated by 3 point chucking. I bet they're licking their chops at facing the Pelicans followed by the sad sack that will advance from the Memphis/Portland series.
(2) Rockets vs. (7) Mavericks
Who wins: Mavericks in 7
Who I want to win: Mavericks
This is going to either be very fun to watch or Carlisle will go with Hack-a-Dwight, or Hack-a-Smith. Even so, I'm overdue to watch some playoff Rondo. I'll futilely attempt to not get my hopes up, buthebetterplayreallywell. He doesn't have the explosion nor the somewhat average shot that he had wayyyyy back in spring 2012 but if anyone can flip the switch out of nowhere, it's Rondo.
Out of the 4 teams that have been jockeying for that 2nd seed over the past week or so, the Rockets are the team that the Mavericks can feel confident against. The Rockets are still trying to get Howard a full slate of minutes, Motiejunas and Beverley won't be coming back, and Jones just recovered not too long ago. The Mavericks' Parsons and Harris haven't suited up much in the past month but those are the positions where the Mavs actually have depth. This will be closest series of the first round and I can't wait for it to kick off. Ellis(or Dirk(or Parsons)) is going to Lillard the Rockets in Game 7. Nah, that'd be too cruel.
(3) Clippers vs. (6) Spurs
Who wins: Spurs in 6
Who I want to win: Clippers
Both of these teams have been rolling recently and this series will live up to the hype.
…..Up until Pop chooses to make Jordan shoot 20 FTs a game. But other than that, it'll be great right?
Leonard will very likely be defending Paul, or at the least Danny Green. Even if Parker was in his physical prime and 100% health, Pop would put better defenders on Paul eventually. Parker can chase Redick around screens for 10 minutes a game or just stand in front of Barnes. Sucks for the Clippers, I bet they'd rather face the Warriors at this point than the Spurs. I don't think the match-ups are in the Clippers' favor.
I'm annoyed by the State Farm commercials but still a fan of CP3, hopefully he gets past the second round at some point. If the Clippers manage to squeak past the Spurs, this will be his year.
(4) Ailing Blazers vs. (5) Grizzlies
Who wins: Grizzlies in 5
Who I want to win: Blazers
Get ready for a boring series. NOT, this is going to be gritty and fun to watch. If the Blazers faced any other team that was in that 2-6 range, their matchup would have garnered a lot more attention. Ditto for the Grizzlies. Instead we get the massive LA/SA matchup and a little of HOU/DAL on the side. Everything else is pretty underwhelming this round. I guess we could thank the Pelicans for saving us from all those matchups that would've happened if they lost, but rematches are fun. God damn it.
(1) Hawks vs. (8) Nets
Who wins: Hawks in 5
Who I want to win: Hawks
This is a great way for the Hawks to get back on track after being just above mediocre recently. The Nets have a few players that could be scary(Williams, Johnson, Lopez) but chances are they won't. If the Hawks were healthy this would be an easy sweep but I'll give the Nets a game. I was rooting for Korver to go 50/50/90. He probably would have made it if the media didn't bring so much attention
(2) Cavaliers vs. (7) Celtics
Who wins: Cavaliers in 5
Who I want to win:
! Hmmm
! Celtics!
I am excited as hell for this. There will be bad shots taken. There will be ugly turnovers. There will be rebounding droughts. But I'm going to take it all in and stay shell shocked by how the Celtics made the playoffs.
Two of the hottest teams in the league that couldn't be further apart. The Cs will steal Game 1 or 2, then get demoralized the rest of the series. It'll be entertaining, I think. At least we all get to see a bevy of players on both teams that haven't been to the playoffs. A small part of me wants Irving to score 50 for kicks, but Smart and Bradley will be having none of that. Unfortunately some other players won't have a prayer. It'll be funny watching the likes of Turner try to guard Lebron on an island for a series, since the Celtics have absolutely no rim protection to clean up the mess. Turner's going to get subbed so fast if he doesn't play well on offense lol. Oh and fuck yea for getting the ABC treatment twice! It's funny because this kind of is the series to watch in the East by default. Nobody seems to care much about the others.
Hey Love, when you leave Cleveland we'll pay you max bucks.
(3) Bulls vs. (6) Bucks
Who wins: Bulls in 4
Who I want to win: Bulls
For all the credit Brad Stevens is getting I'm surprised Kidd's name has almost never gotten mentioned(recently at least). He took a team that was worst in the league last year and got them to .500. Trading Knight, losing Parker, Sanders being a waste of spacetalent isn't quite the turnover that the Celtics had, but it's been no picnic in Milwaukee.
And it won't be anytime soon. The Bulls are led by tryhard Thibs and I have a feeling this will be a sweep with 1 or 2 close games. Over-under on the number of "Is Rose back to MVP form?" articles is at 9000.5
(4) Raptors vs. (5) Wizards
Who wins: Wizards in 6
Who I want to win: Wizards
Notwithstanding certain bias, I thought the Wizards would have been a clear cut #3 team out East. The Hawks threw a wrench in that but even then the Raptors have been more consistent this season. I'd still pick the Wizards because they match up well besides maybe Pierce, and the Raptors are that one team that I will always irrationally doubt in any and every series. Lowry is great but unfortunately he's going to be guarded by his bigger, faster, stronger All-Star backcourt mate John Wall. Never believed in DeRozan either. I think Rondo is shooting 3s better than him this year.
Love's not going anywhere. I see endless conversation about who will be able to steal him away, and it all just comes off as wishful thinking to me. At least not until the Cavs suck again. All I've ever heard him say is that he wants to win, and he makes that team a lot better.
I could see the Celtics stealing a game against the Cavs, but I'd put 10:1 odds on it happening in Boston in game 3 or 4. Cleveland and Golden State are tops in the league at protecting their home court because those teams take it very seriously. I think one of Lebron's old Cavs teams still holds the crown for best regular season home court record.
The Bulls could barely put together a 4 game winning streak during the regular season. I'd be shocked if they managed to sweep anyone. Even my favorable projections for them would have them winning most series like 4-2.
Oh wow, Pierce led them in scoring. I'll gladly eat my words on him not matching well. Still not gonna watch the series lol
Those Rockets fans are committed to booing Parsons every time he touches the ball
But those were some bullshit fouls on Howard yet the Rockets still got the win. Doesn't look good for the Mavs
Washington-Toronto was absolutely horrible to watch. The level of basketball was very poor
GSW-NO happened what was expected to happen. But GSW´s cockiness starts to annoy me. Especially Curry and Green. The level of condensencion and zero respect for their rival is beyond normal. They even said that their last weeks game against NO was a scrimmage. Who they think they are? They haven´t won shit yet. Being confident is legit and very important, but you have to be classy with a opponent, especially young uderdog team who fought their asses to be there. And actually I liked them and I was picking them to win this year, but now I will root for NO to teach them a lesson. Yeah, it likely won´t happen, but I will expect to see SA doing it. Tim Duncan has to show them that being confident is compatible with being humble and having class.
CHI- Bucks was the most entertaining game for me, very offensive basketbal. Rose seems to be in shape and Bucks have good young team, I just wonder how good they can be in 2-3 years. Kidd really coach them well and they play really goood team basketball, but MCW is trying to do too much by himself.
Dallas-Houston, pretty good game too. It seems that Dallas players are confused and they are doing Hack-a-Harden instead of doing Hack-a-Howard:wassat:. If Howard keeps playing smart, Dallas has few chances to win this series.
@Master:

trololololol

If the Warriors don't come out of the West, they'll get all the criticism in the world. If their insane season doesn't at least translate to a Finals berth, they're no arguing that they'd deserve to get filleted by the media. But if you can do this:
I'd say Steph can talk all the shit he wants.
Draymond Green is my favorite nba player and Im a Cavs fan but Im also MSU fan first and foremost and Dray did great things for us at MSU Im glad hes succeeding in the NBA but wish it was with another team cause I cant stand any of the other Warriors players sadly
Rose flashed his MVP form yesterday, but decided to do his best Curry impersonation in the 2nd half by draining deep contested 3's repeatedly. That kind of feels like fools gold to me, but the first half he looked legit. And it wasn't just the way he attacked the rim, either. Some of the passes he was making were crazy good. As Jason Kidd said after halftime "we haven't seen this Derrick Rose before (during this season)." I still feel like that could be one of the best first round series, but only if the Bucks manage to pull it together.
As for the other series yesterday, I find it difficult to hope that the Pelicans or Mavericks can figure it out. They're both good teams that just seem to be up against better teams. The Rockets didn't even play that well, but they go to the free throw line soooooo much more than the Mavs that it just doesn't matter. It's great to see playoff Brow, but it's also great in a way for playoff Brow to collide with the most daunting of challenges immediately. Should only make him better.
Lastly was the Raps/Wizards, which was probably even worse than I feared. What's wrong with the NBA playoffs? One of these two teams will have to win a first round series. Comparing backcourts, Wall/Beal went 11/41, while Lowry/DeRozan went 8/30. Lowry's ashamed that he wasn't able to jack up some more bricks, but he fouled out and hit his limit early on. The Wizards had like a 15 point lead or so in the 4th quarter, and pissed it all away to bad Beal chucking to let it go into OT.
As for today, I have high hopes for the Blazers/Grizzlies and Spurs/Clippers series.
Am not hating on Spurs but this dunk was amazing!!!
way to go Blake!!
Oh boy, the lack of defense on that second dunk. Baynes forgot he was guarding Davis and not Jordan…should've been ready to help. Incredible play by Griffin though.
And I am COMPLETELY SHOCKED that no technical foul(s) were issued when Baynes/Barnes wrestled for that ball after the whistle. The refs aren't being trigger happy little crapbags for once???!!?!
And booo to IT only being runner up for Sixth Man of the Year. He's gonna explode for 40 in Game 2, calling it now:ninja:
Can't wait to see my boys win this series and go on to the next round.
The Celtics had some good stretches of defense in Game 2, but Kyrie makes things look way too easy. I'll give Lebron 30 points if he turns the ball over 6 times again
WOOP. Alley ooped the shit out the Mavs. Go rockets! :D 2-0 !!

Yay the Rockets wooped Dallas!!! Plus Cavs are also crusing on smoothly. NO did put up a big fight against the warrios the other day.

YAS. I'm just wanting a win in dallas, I don't mind winning the series away though lol.
J-SMOOTH tonight was AWESOME. Those 9 assists though, almost had a triple double and I think it would have been the first of the finals. Gaahhh either Josh smith is the best player or the worst player for the rockets. Ohwell, Dwight howard turned it on this game. The Flagrant was bullshit.

Indeed, they equaled the Lakers record in one game of 14 dunks in last 15 post seasons!!!
Plus OKC has fired their Coach Scott!!!
