You should try to go read the threads during Skypea. This could be a quote from these times.
yay sure, show me those non-existent threads to back up your words.

"during Skypea" which is spelled Skypiea btw.
That arc was made in 2003-2004.
So next time, stop being an idiot, or be more precise such as "read a thread about Skypiea".
And this thread doesn't show any evidence of people complaining about what I was referring. If anything, Skypiea is praised in this thread, I fail to see your point.
Geez, Kirk, grammar nazi much?
Is not him being a grammar nazi, is him being Kirk!

No? He quotes me telling me to go back checking for threads that was made during Skypiea times and then he tries to make a fool of me by showing me a thread that was made during Enies lobby? On top of that this thread has nothing to do with my quote. He just went full retard.

Oh, let me search for a thread when the forum didn't exist then.
And all of those observations of people complaining about people who complained just like you, from 8 years ago, it's just the wind right?

This kid is such a loser .
Oh, let me search for a thread when the forum didn't exist then.
Which is why your post didn't make any sense.

I see, so you are just another one of those people who complain about people complaining. And (again) seems like no one was complaining about the focus switching everytime, maybe because…that wasn't the case back then.

He should know better . After all you do a pretty great job at making yourself look like a fool .

Oh look, a keyboard warrior. If you aren't trying to discuss, what's the point of posting anyway?

Here:
I see like 4 complaints, and most because of length.
This guy has the biggest complaint list.
The skypea arc is somewhat disappointing to me, for several reasons: _1) there is really only 1 villain that stands out. That being the man eneru himself….i had already forgotten about who zoro and sanji fought, etc, unlike in arabasta you get to know mr2 real well.
eneru probably should have been a shibuyuki(forgot the spelling). He is definitely more powerful than any villains we've seen. At least anyone can beat crocodile with a bucket of water, but eneru is different. It's hard to imagine how someone w/o rubber electricity resistance can beat him. I mean, we saw how eneru smoked zoro easily with a 10000 watt thunderbird (damn that was cool). Anyways, eneru definitely makes mihawk look weak, i think he would beat mihawk easily
too much fillers. First the god history, then the cyandora....it's like, why do we care???_ 1) He has a bad memory.
Bleh.
Doesn't care for context.
@Galaxy:
Here:
That's a nice little look into the past, so people were complaining about the Shandian's history getting coverage and some people were saying Enel could beat Mihawk.
Am I understanding right?
People were also complaining years ago, just like today. But since Skypiea/Water Seven are considered as masterpiece, all the complains from before were baseless. Which mean, the same will happen with Dressrosa. Is that the logic behind it?
I can tell you Fishman Island hasn't gotten any better with time. And I haven't forgotten about things that bothered me with the execution of Marineford battle.
So, one day when I do a complete reread of Dressrosa, I doubt the problems it's riddled with are just going to melt away.

I stopped reading One Piece at the end of the Impel Down arc and came back once Punk Hazard was almost finished, I just blew through the manga in a few days and was one chapter away from having to read it weekly again which happened to be the beginning of the Dressrossa arc. I didn't really have many complaints with those past arcs but boy did I pick the wrong time to start reading One Piece again.

why so
16 characterssss
i may be reading too much into things (you can never read too much into things in one piece)
but could part of the reason why Luffy calls Trafalgar Law “torao” be that it sounds like “toreador” ….?
they are in grand line Spain after all….
If Reddit is anything to go by, the majority of the fanbase will herald Dressrosa as one of the best arcs along with Enies Lobby and Marineford.

To this I disagree. I think once it becomes history, we're going to appreciate Dressrosa.

Because this arc has just become extremely long and tedious for a week to week basis especially with the breaks. But once Luffy kicks Doflamingo's ass in a stylized fashion my qualms will be gone.

The hard-on for Enies Lobby will never not be baffling.

I wonder if Doffy gets a cover page story maybe he could bump into Crocodile and hit on him/offer him an alliance again.

It shows that even a few great key moments can help enamor the overall opinion of an arc.
Also lots of Bleach-esque battles.
It shows that even a few great key moments can help enamor the overall opinion of an arc.
It also elaborated on Robin's past and it was one big declaration of the fact that the Straw Hats will always be there for her no matter what. The arc's major theme was "You Are Not Alone".
I mean shit at least Doflamingo's Ginyu Force are fun to watch, Enies Lobby didn't even give us that pleasure.

Kumadori was kind of fun to watch.
Just between you and me Spandom is still the scum of the earth along with Hody Jones.

16 char of Rokushiki.
I think it's because Water 7 is included when they say Enies Lobby. Then again, it is the One Piece subreddit.

Trafalgar is too hard for him to spell so he just call him Torao (Tiger guy).

Kirk, please stop antagonizing other posters quite so blatantly.

Yeah, Long ring long land is that boring, sales dropped((introduces admiral to save the series)) sales rising again, then pure epicness with Water7/Ennies Lobby.
his post about Skypiea was bad tho.
Bahahaha! And you sent me a private message to tell me that I shouldn't bash
Don't change Kirk

Long ring long land was pretty cool. It's a fun arc and short.

You're entitled to your opinion, but if you think his post is bad then reply to it and explain why you think that.
Don't just act abrasively.

Not sure if sarcasm.
LRL land was great and so was Davy Back, at least for me. If there's anything missing from OP now, it's a relaxed setting like that, a filler arc if you will.
And Aokiji was introduced before SH actually got to LRL land.
I love LRLL but I love every arc. So it ends up being one of my least favorite anyway.
Still, is oftenly ranked and percieved as the less interesting arc in the whole series, a lot of people skip it, sales indeed dropped and his Tankobon isn't too popular.
Yeah I don't see why someone would skip this arc.

Skypeia ranks lower than "post Enies Lobby"
post Enies Lobby is considered an arc
Dressrosa is ranked third
one piece is more than fights but our favorite arc is entirely made of fights
why neji why
I actually did, years ago, when I was first watching anime.
Only read it later, when I decided to go through manga from the beginning till end.
Honestly, I didn't feel like I've lost anything of worth.
Reddit doesn't know shit about shit, more at 11.

Hey, let's be honest here, as far a choreography and art are concerned, Enies Lobby was pretty awesome. It dragged a bit, but it was well made.
And the stakes were high andpersonal, something a lot of people related to.
It is by no means perfect arc (none of them are), but it enjoyable. And different, something many people crave when it comes to One Piece.

It also had incompetent vice admirals :ninja:

I did skip it as well, the anime confused me, I thought it was filler because he comes back later on some actual filler.
It also had incompetent vice admirals :ninja:
And what else is new?
Honestly, at this point I will be more surprised if one of them actually does something for a change.
Ironicaly, Maynard has the best track record of VAs that are not up there with Admirals. He actually managed to save some people. He is doing better then the supposed moral rulers of this country.
