Can we put up a pool? Last admirals df, zoan, logia, paramecia, or fruitless.
We already did that in the General Marines Thread, champ.

Oh my! He finally went mod with power!
Oh my! He finally went mod with power!
I hope his current avatar isn't a sign of things to come…
It would be very interesting to see the variations Oda can come up with Blackbeard's devil fruit. I am sure two years during the path to become the Yonkou, he might have learned to enhance his DF quite well. If I remember right he can nullify DF powers only when he touches the person. It would be total hax if he could do it without touching the person but probably within a range.
Yeah about Pica's fruit (yeah again LOL). Don't know if you guys remember, but I've been so far on the Logia side.
My main reason being that when he avoids this attack, his body turns into stone, leaving only stone behind. Meaning that his physical body just magically vanished or found his way in the ground through the tiny legs of the statue
That always seemed to Logiaish for me. But I was rereading Thriller Bark and I came to the conclusion that maybe his body did magically switch with rocks, like Moria switch with his shadow.
But maybe this explanation isn't even necessary since there is plenty of illogical instant Kage Bunshin in the serie. The most recent one being Ikaros I think.
Either way, I don't remember seeing this comparison with Moria's fruit before so I though it might interest someone.
In the end, this fruit's category is still very unclear IMO. But for the first time I tend to be more on the Parameccia side.
PS: I know that some of you guys like King Cannoni-san think that the fruit's category is super obvious and makes no doubt. But we already had this conversation

Somebody called me ?
I am more onto logia side as it is.
In last chap we seen Picas body loose its shape, something that people use as argument for fruit user being logia when it comes to Trebol(super special paramecia he is imo :ninja:).

and Monet with her traveling through snow that is her element as she also was able to escape from fight with Zoro and she was using same tactics as Pica was using in this weeks chapter- aiming at the weak - Zoro was also asking is she has any intention of fighting him

Now that you mention it, I'm pretty sure we didn't see Pica's body since chapter 769. So nope.
I guess you consider the pic your posted as his body because he is talking and has eyes.
And that's a fair point, really. But I think it's not enough in a manga with sweating string clones and hungry skulleton.
By the way, I think that Cesar would really lose an arm if you cut it with haki when he is in "King of Shi no Kuni" form.

Yea that Mingo clone was bit too much.. but what is done is done and Oda went and did it.
As for Pica and his body - for me eyes are indication of where he is.
In this chap we seen that he was in only one half of face he created here
! ![](http://www.onepiecebay.net/manga/mangas/One Piece/777 - Zoro vs Pica/014.png)
So I would take eyes as indicator and when he was talking with Kyros his eyes were on that pillar like shaped form with a head so I will still strongly stick to him being a logia.
Also Oda wasnt very informative on Mingos crew devil fruits - names and what they precisely are - and we already gotten SBS with their ages n stuff so I expect that after this arc we will get SBS question where Oda will answer by listing all Devil Fruits with some short description for each of Mingos DF users crewmates.
We need that for Machvise and for Pica. Oda wont left it in the open I hope as its needles head scratchers for after Dressrosa, no point in keeping some questions open for too long time.
As for Cesar - he is kind of fused with it so seems like he would loose a limb or two if cut with hakified attack as you say..

Oooh! Nice! Nice argument there. If his body is deep in the plateau, he wouldn't need to stop controlling half of the face. Though I'm sure someone will find a twisted way to use this argument against you. But if it's too twisted, I will make sure to defend it.

Its almost same, Pica has to be logia in my opinion.
Problem here is that you think assimilation is something only Logias can do, and that's not the case.
He can fuse with his element like Caesar and Monet, but that sort of ability is expected for a rock assimilation human.
However, Pica has only shown to be able to manipulate existing rock. He even has his feet fused to the rock in order to channel it through his body. A Logia would not need to do that as they could just create rock freely.
In the end, it's very Logia-esque, but it's not a Logia. It doesn't check all requirements.
Trébol for example checks all requirements.

Lol.. Mkay I guess
At least Oda didnt made it one sided - that class or that class being clear from get-go - so we cannot be too sure.

I am on a way from home for some time but at evening I will be able to check this - can you please post pages with examples on where Trebol is shown checking all requirements?
I admit that killer argument here is that he was cut to pieces by Ussop and lived - thats one thing that makes me almost certain that he isnt a paramecia but rest is up to discussion in my opinion. I mean that he is made out of strechable goo and can produce it so..
Thats why I called him exceptional - I have nothing to beat being cut by Ussop and living after it argument but I think Oda made all the rest of it discussable(at least to some degree). I am ALMOST certain Trebol is logia, not yet 100% on that train "because Oda".
I hope for being suprised, all in all is almost to easy to guess and I enjoy more if we get to see some deeper or discussable foreshadowings than what he get almost all time when it comes to abilities but I have to give Oda credit for experimenting with not revealing names of some devil fruits or not explaining in detail how they work or what class they are at start. At least options can occupy me bit longer than if it was done in old fashion.
Its very likely that Pica is paramecia and its likely and possible that he is a logia. I think that he is first character thats power meets some of requirements of logia and paramecia at same time. Being made of solid material might be smoke and mirrors kind of thing for readers to search more arguments for him being a paramecia while he in fact is logia. Paramecias can be made from solid material - Kizaru hinted at that with his line when he was guessing Hawkings ability.

Creating.
Controlling.
Becoming.
And then there's Usopp not killing him by bisecting him.
Pica checks out controlling, becoming and surviving bisection, but he has not shown to be able to create rock.
Creating.
Controlling.

What I see is him generating that substance of his like Magellan as it comes out of his body. Becoming material is also discussable as he looked like simply sliding off from a celling to floor face on the ground way. Its likely he uses his goo to speed himself up or just go around faster.
Ussops thing is not up to discussion though as it is.

There's also this. He literally becomes a blob.

If not for Ussop scene this would also not completely convince me as we seen people like Luffy who is a rubber man so snot man streching or becoming flat like that would be also possible.
As for Pica I do believe he is a logia but that belief is based mostly on how open and discussable Oda kept his abilities when it comes to putting them in one class or another.
I would not be surpised if I am stick to wrong thing but its fun in a way for me- like reminding that Pica thing isnt certain for 100% as there is a lot hinting at logia side. Trebol seems to be pretty much a given - logia - as we never seen paramecia being cut in pieces and living after it like nothing happened(beside Buggy).

Stone Assumlation Man. The name itself proves he isn't a logia. Though if we were never told that I too would think he is a logia.
Pica is most certainly a Paramecia.
He can manipulate and control stone, but can't transform into it.
Pica is most certainly a Paramecia.
He can manipulate and control stone, but can't transform into it.
Yeah, I've got to say for some reason for a while some people have been having trouble grasping that fact.
Also I will note that though some people might say that Pica is no match for Zoro due to his skill as a swordsman; I'll only say that they're "half right"
Sure while Zoro can pretty much cut through stone like it's wet tissue paper at this point, he still has to find the guy. It's pretty much like trying to find a needle in a haystack; a needle that's actively trying to avoid you. So basically the only way for Zoro to finish the fight is to take everything out in a single blow, leaving no place left to hide. Tissue paper isn't much of a hinderance; however a literal mountain of tissue paper is a bit more intimidating.
That and seeing how pica is able to merge with the bedrock itself, he's shown himself to be pretty compitent in general destructive power.
Isn't Diamantes fruit special? He can not only make things into flags, no he can also make his body into flags?
Well the parameccia categoy already stands for special. That doesn't fit in the other categories.
Isn't Diamantes fruit special? He can not only make things into flags, no he can also make his body into flags?
How is that special?
Like, we saw Mr.5 exploding his own snot and stuff pretty early in the series.
Pica is most certainly a Paramecia.
He can manipulate and control stone, but can't transform into it.
Actually, he can transform in stone (technically, it would be more like possessing stone).
But the thing is that he would need an external source to do it. Thus, stone assimilation.

Pica's body seemingly always remains the same somewhere inside the stone he's manipulating though.
We've never seen Pica's body as we've know it, transform into stone.

Its just that he can use it both, on his own body and other things… Not like luffy or buggy as an example

Just like Gladius.
So the main reason that Pica never used his powers to make giant slides/ holes/ bedrock quicksand to under Dressrosa's surface was because it would be "stealing too much from Fujitora's schtick/ attention in this arc?
Man, must admit hated this secondary effect on Sugar's fruit. Was fixed to make the story more interesting that felt awful, at least to me… and compared to Jora's, the ability was almost the same.

Well Oda has been playing around with similar powers to what we gotten before - Gladius and Machvise for example. He is also playing under our nose with this arcs core characters powers.
Look at Law and Doflamingo powers
!
Doflamingo slashes with his hand and other one as well but with strings
!
Law creates a Room where he manipulates everything
!
And Doflamingo creates Birdcage where he manipulates everyone with Parasyte
!
But with Law and Doflamingo I think it was all planned to show they are alike to some degree and opposite in fundamental things.
Even details like their frowned mouth being exactly same but in opposite direction.
!
They are VERY alike, same as usage of their powers in some ways.
With only difference being that Doflamingo met Trebol and gotten pulled into abyss while Laws meeting of Corazon saved his heart.

You really are stretching on that one.
I mean I'm sure we suppose to see them as similar when it comes to being cunning persons but powers and frowning analogy are really overanalyzing the similitude.
Birdcage and parasite are independent from each other. And I'm sure what kind of parallel you're trying to make with slicing with strings. But you really are overthinking stuff.

I mean just surface similarities in some of their moves and in how Oda shows Law being affected to some degree by those years spent in Doflamingos crew.
Doesnt take much thought to see some similarities and really difference between them is that they meet good and bad person in their young years and that affected them.
Oda is trying to make them slightly alike in few ways.
Look at how much more years with Doflamingo affected Bellamy(even as he was pretty much close to being adult when he allied himself with Doflamingo).
Tongue, shades, licking blood..

You are overanalyzing. Are the characters similar in some way? Sure. Do their Devil fruit moves are reflecting this? That's reaching.
The Bellamy thing is also pushing.

Thats your opinion on my view that you expressed in previous post and your point this time is?
Also denying some similarities between Bellamy and Doflamingo is bit ignorat in my opinion given that Doflamingo was Bellamys idol for over a decade and some changes in him are more than evident.
Devil Fruit powers of Law and Doflamingo doesnt work same way by any means but some of visualization is similar.

The same, I guess.

I'm not denying Doflamingo influencing Bellamy in some way. i am denying the ide that shades or licking blood are proof of that.

I disagree.
but some of visualization is similar.
I can't say I've ever noticed any real similarities between the visual aspects of Doflamingo's and Law's powers, at all.
…hand gestures maybe?
In the sense that both have them, I guess
So how do you guys think Oda will explain devil fruits of Doflamingo family?
I think that entire list with short explanation on how each of them works will be in SBS of volume 78..
Machvise and some others need to get names and calrifications on their Devil Fruits.
…hand gestures maybe?
In the sense that both have them, I guess
Hand gestures, Birdcage and Room shape, how they slash enemies in similar way but Law is non lethal. Stuff like that I guess.
Many people have thought about how a water logia could work, and have tried to come up with ways that would fit in with the rule that Devil fruit users can't swim. I actually think an easier way for it to work is to simply have the curse reversed. Instead of not being able to swim, a water logia wouldn't be able to go on land. If you've seen Pirates of the Caribbean 2, think of Davy Jones and how he had to stay under the sea and couldn't walk ashore unless he was standing in a bucket of water.
However, I don't think a water logia is likely to come up in the series, simply because the role of water fighters have been taken up by the Fishmen. If you think about it, the Fishmen were introduced fairly early on in the series, and we know Oda had planned out a lot of the details behind them beforehand, such as Jimbe and the Sun Pirates. I'm willing to bet that the Fishmen were intentionally designed to be a huge factor in the story. It's interesting to note the sort of opposite role they play: humans can get these cool powers but will be unable to swim and explore the sea; Fishman are already inherently strong and have control over the water, but they struggle to be accepted by people on land.

C'mon dawg. A fruit user bound to the sea? Anything else to suggest this possibility?
I heard nice theory on Green Bull being Bullfrog Zoan user.
I would really enjoy Zoan user as Admiral, he could fit nicely with Kaido arc being filled with other Zoan users.
Thats picture of Bullfrog

I would agree that a Zoan would make sense for the third admiral but I can't think of any green colored animals apart from alligators, lizards and frogs. Maybe he is literally just green bull.
But if we see someone like him to match up with the Strawhats' fighting styles (assuming Zoro vs Isshou, Sanji vs Kizaru) we can match him up against Jinbei's fighting style perhaps?

I don't know why but that picture just made me laugh so hard. Maybe it's the way hes holding that frog.
You know what's green and would make for great Admiral Level Zoan?
Cthulhu.
He is even connected to oceans. Lovely, isn't it?
We all know that the third admiral will use colors trap.

Bullfrog seems like a lame fruit, honestly. I'm not even sure he's going to be zoan. It would make sense to introduce an admiral who is such a monster that his pure fighting capabilities (aided with increased strength, stamina and senses of a zoan) are enough to make him one of the top fighters in the world.
But Oda isn't in any way obliged to do that, or to make any reference to a bull apart from his personality, like with all the other admirals. Kizaru is playful like a monkey, Akainu is obedient like a hunting dog. Not sure about Aokiji, since I couldn't find anything distinctively pheasant about him, but dogs are used in pheasant hunting, so maybe that was a light foreshadowing. Fujitora seems to be very patient with highly developed senses, waiting for a good opportunity to strike.
Ryokugyu might be a paramecia/zoan/logia/no devil fruit charge at enemy first, ask questions later kind of guy, who is in it just for a challenge and not for any higher cause like Fujitora. Who likes to wear green shirts or something.
Doubt he's going to be a logia, because there's already a lot of them. I'd rather if he had that bullfrog zoan than some duplicate logia.
Maybe if it weren't for this.

I would like Lizard Zoan or some frog/ toad zoans in story. It might not be fruit suited for somebody of admiral status but if Pekoms can have turtle Zoan(as he most likely has) some Vice Admiral or Yonko Commander being Bullfrog / frog / toad zoan would be pretty awesome thing imo.
