I'm not sure in what kind of direction the story's heading. It suddenly went from a happy-go-lucky adventure to a surprisingly grim story full of drama and…well it's mostly love drama and the Sins seeming to be in the process of splitting up.
Part of me likes the fact that the author's taking a different approach at the story while another is worried where this might end. A group of seven comrades is turning more and more into an accumulation of individuals who all share one or another past together. It's weird is all...

Maybe he's trying to atone for what happened to her father. He couldn't protect her rampaging father and then Guila ended up killing her own father. Gowther said he's never been in love, but he's always trying to understand new things about life. Or maybe Gowther was the one who betrayed the Sins.
I'm still waiting for the "old guy" to show up.
-
I don't know if this bothers anyone else.
but did the power level thing bother anyone else too?
I'm not talking the fights and how it's consistency (Though that can always be debate) I'm talking about Hawk able to give numbers to people's power. I've never been a fan of it in any series.

I think it wont be much more than a practical joke. After all the other sins dished Hawk's scout.
-
Now look for Gowther to re-write Zeals memories and making fall in love with him 2, Pedo-Gowther incoming.
-
Merlin destroys Gowther and then makes another one without the othe sins knowing.
Problem solved. -
Started the series a couple days ago and finished last night. For me the highest point so far was the fight after the tournament and the early parts of the Kingdom Infiltration arc. The later part was equal parts asspulls and telegraphed twists, which obviously ruined it a bit.
I started out really liking Jericho and dug her "take responsibility" line when she was kicking Ban's ass. Too bad her character has significantly regressed.
-
Hendricksen as the main antagonist felt a bit lackluster, going from being stomped by the Sins to curbstomping them…
-
you know..looking at how the chapter ended,i think it might all be a red herring, and that is not really her little brother and so Gowther is totally justified
after the whole "he slipped on purpose" thing,I expect anything

Chapter 112 spoiler translation.
!
! Diane and Elizabeth discuss their love affairs, and Elizabeth remembers what Cain told her about Liz, when they meet Zeal(and Guila and Gowther aren't far).Diane recognizes him as Guila's brother and asks him about her, but he seems completely desoriented and doesn't know who he is.
She goes to meet Guila and asks her about Zeal and she in turn doesn't remember who he is, and says that the only family member she has is Gowther.
Diane asks Gowther if he erased their memories and he says yes.
The scene switches to Mel who starts talking about what he lost 10 years ago, I couldn't figure out this part.
Hawk enters and he says his body is hot. Mel remembers that Hawk was eating some white stuff outside and they figure out it's the medicine.Merlin says that the medicine control the mind or something and they could have some side effects, if something bad were happen to the pig…
! Gowther explains how he read about emotions and feelings in a book, he tried to understand feelings such as friendship and he had that opportunity during the fight with the first generation, when Ban and Mel's powers seems to have increased due to their emotions(not sure of this part). He explains how the demon blood inside the first generation was feeding of the complex of inferiority they had. It seems that Gowther controled the transformation inside Guila's body by modifying her memories over time.It took a while but it worked. He explains how the old Guila had painful memories, but Diane says they were still irreplaceable.
They start fighting, Elizabeth goes to look for help, possibly Merlin, Gowther uses a technique that stops the movement of people with less than 400 power level or something, but it only works in a radius of 3 miles and for 10 minutes
Gowther says that it's easy to wipe the information about what he did from Diane's memory. She says that she can't understand why she forgot the first time about King, but she cannot forgive those who do that, and those memories will be engraved in her heart.
End of chapter

Gowther is truly awesome as a villain, used Guila and his guinea pig, mindfucked her and Zeal. It was pretty much Tsukishima but 1000x better.
Diane was right in calling him a Son of Bitch.
-
Love? Does compute.
-
I'm guessing Meliodas will get caught up in this battle and will remember what he forgot on that day 10 years ago. A wind about way to unlock Melio's memories while also building Gowther and Diane's characters – pretty good.
-
Looks like Seven Deadly Sins is channeling Kingdom Hearts.
-
Those fanarts by the way are pretty awful.
-
….where the fuck did this shit with Gowther come from? Random. Seven Deadly Sins has really been going downhill for me recently.

Explain yourself. Why is it random? It's building up since chapter 101.

what is the shit you are talking about ? This chapter is rather coherent with what we knew to me.

If this was supposed to be a serious moment, why did the author draw Diane with such a goofy face? Man, read the freaking atmosphere. . .
Not particularly happy about things going down right now. 2-3 chapters focused on very creepy romance hijinks (being reminded again this very chapter of that impossibly creepy toddler Diane being sworn eternal love by King scene), power levels are still there and now are even part of attacks (seriously, "everyone under 400" loses consciousness? For real?), in the face of a danger that spells impending doom (10 hyper strong demons that dwarf Hendricksen's power, anyone?), with a Sin gone (Ban) and one still to be introduced (Escanor), here we have another fight among them that will probably be resolved with a "c'mon Gowther, that ain't cool, don't be such an ass!", because right now the group cannot be permanently crippled. Too freaking soon for that to happen.

Why the hell would it be resolved in such a way? Gowther is not a character like that. He needs to be put under control again.
As for the comment on Diane and King, I take it you did not read their special chapter with explained their shared backstory right? That's nothing new.
We've known about it for over 40 chapters. -
It's just….there's no flow to this, no solid build up, no logical progression in the story. Yeah, Gowther doing this shit is something I can see this character doing but...time and place, geez. A couple of chapters ago, super demons were knocking on the door and out of nowhere, this stuff with Gowther comes and we're putting that on the back burner I guess. Again, where the fuck did it come from? It feels so misplaced with the current going ons, it's like the author had ideas for this character but then big stuff happened in the plot that was going to keep snowballing into bigger stuff and the author decided to cram in this Gowther stuff instead of dropping it completely where it would have been really out of place later down the line. Maybe it wouldn't have felt so out of place if he had actually DEVELOPED his relationship with Geela? Put some moral dilemma, make it seem like he's grown to care for this character and actually thinks he's doing the right thing for her opposed to her just being an experiment? Or at least make the arc clearly about Gowther instead of being unfocused with a lot of things? Also as kouch said, it does not help that it's treated kinda goofy with Diane's reactions ("Oh Gowther, you really did it this time! cue laugh track) or it'll probably be resolved in a couple of chapters. Honestly, I've been having problems with the cohesiveness of the story-telling of this series since the end of the Hendricksen arc if not before.
-

What does "needs to be put under control" even mean? So he's not a character, he's a slave or something? A pawn? This is his personality, he is like this, and when he is "himself" he is a villain, as shown by his recent actions. The solution I doubt will be "here, take this chill pills 3 times a day so you don't go fucking psycho on our asses and rewrite all our memories to your hearts content and start experimenting with other's lives as you see fit, you fucking creep".
He'll probably be forgiven or convinced to act differently from now on.

Even when its hard to remember sometimes the Sins were initially criminals put under Meliodas command.
Its not so strange that Gowther is some monster that was freed only on the condition of keep taking his chemical castration pills and stop raping people minds.
-
Now that he's started it, the author has to follow the path of Gowther turning into an obstacle (possibly an enemy) to the Sins. What he's done to Guilla and her brother is quite severe and not something you simply shrug off as being part of his funny antics.
I can see what he's doing there. He is taking the time now to develop Gowther. To show what his personality is really like and how Gowther actually fits into the Sins (right now not exactly much). Once again– after going down this route, Nakaba has to dedicate a few more chapters to Gowther and properly establish what he's about and where he's headed. If that happens through a fight (i.e. someone punching Gowther silly to put him in his place) or the cyborg leaving the Sins doesn't really matter. But something has to happen for this matter to be taken seriously. At this point though it's still just pure speculation on our parts and too early to judge anything. Let's enjoy the ride instead. I do agree though that King and Diane's relationship feels awkward and creepy. And Diane and Elizabeth going on and on about love like pure maidens ain't exactly fitting this manga's themes either.

That would feel like a complete 180 though. None of the Sins so far have been portrayed as real monsters/criminals. They had their own problems which shone through here and there but going to the dark side has never really been a topic so far. Not that I'd mind a bit more drama and tragedy, mind you.

It's because obviously the sin are no match to the Demons that we need chapters that make the characters grow stronger. It's not because we were shown the Demons in one chapter that they have to be the focus of the story immediately. Aren't they going to Arthur Kingdom before anyway ?
From what I understand, Gowther is trying to power up except he does not understand he is doing it the wrong way. All the others sins had a few chapter which focused on them, I don't see why it's a bad timing that Gowther one happens now. -
Putting RedHawk version for great justice:http://manga.redhawkscans.com/reader/read/the_seven_deadly_sins/en/0/112/

I would recommend TLC to re-read the manga again.
Gowther turning heel was expected, If you thought he didnt then you were very naive. Gowther reminded me a bit of Machine Banchou.
-
Ey… but now the powermeter can be a lovemeter...

The two translations are so different for some reason.

Well… one of them is Mangastream.
-
If Gowther manages to alter Diane's memories to forget that she's always loveed king and he gets back JUST after it's too late, I will seriously think about leaving this manga.
-
Nobody noticed the hooded person during the Blackout?
-
Nakaba should really just stick to the action and cheesy lines.

Agreed . These are the only things that this series had going for it for me but now i am losing whatever little interest i had in this series .

Gowther turning heel isn't what I take issue with. It's its haphazard placement between two arcs that's the problem. It feels crammed in, rushed and not given time to breathe. Hell, Gowther hasn't even had enough screentime and development to even give the heel turn that much impact.
-
What would be out ot time and place would be a battle between the demons and the sins. It was clear since the moment the demons decided to hide.

So scans of the special Vampires of Edinburgh chapter were released finally.

http://vk.com/topic?act=browse_images&id=-53220389_5127! Escanor's power apparently depends on the time of the day. Say in the morning he looks like a teenager, and thus at his weakest, while at night he's an old man.

On one side… wowowowowowo!!!!
On the other side, use spoiler tags to write about the content of a non yet released chapter, man!!

More details:
! A few things to note from the Side Chapter:
Zaratras has the Power to turn Vampires into Humans.
King is very scared of Escanor's other form cause he goes batshit crazy.
Vampires drink the blood by making holes into their victims bodies.
Ban lost a Card game bet thus he had to eat that abomination of Food made by Mel.Apparently it's a Meat Pie.
There are 6 Vampires, but for some reason unknown reason the seal was broken after thousands of years. -
Is the full scan out or only some tease pics?

! Cover of the side story "Vampires of Edinburgh"

Summary:
! So, the short summary:
-The group of vampire consisted of the king and his 5 subordinates were sealed inside the sarcophagus for few thousand years in the some cave in the east.
-Someone unsealed it or destroyed the sarcophagus. Who? No one fucking know.
-In the next tome we will find out the link between Meliodas and the vampires.
-Back then Sins also existed (probably thousand years ago).
-In the first part of special only one vampire appears - thorny Orlondi(?)
-In one day the darkness clouded the Edinburgh because of the magic power of vampires. The night time has been extended.
-Zaratras has the magic power to turn vampires into the humans. Smth like purge.
-Sins played the cards, and Meliodas feed the Ban with his own nasty meat pie. Ban drink many alcohol.
-Merlin told them about the situation in the Edinburgh and said that the vampires eating through the holes in human's body. She also can create the portals. Escanor was like "Oh, thats for me?!".
-Then drunk Ban slashes vampires like the grass. His move called Assault Hunt. We saw that - he went motherfucker mode.
-We have the strategic conversation between you know who - part of Sins (no Diane and Gowther with Escanor) and GHKs.
-When King heard about all Sins should take the part, he scared to shit cause of the perspective of Escanor being near. He was like "He is TOO?!"
-The deep night. Meliodas said that its good time for Escanor to take the part.
-Escanor said that he want to turn back till the dawn. Yeah, he is polite boy and add -san when talk with Meliodas.
-Probably in the day he turns into the uncontrolled motherfucking beast.
-It also said that Meliodas presented himself to 5 years old Elizabeth and Veronica was worried and scared of him… -
-
