Naruto and Bleach V - The Not-So-Final Frontier
-
Bleach is out. Looks like "W" didn't last very long, got owned pretty bad by Senjumaru with the great weaving skills…unless he has a few more skills up his sleeve to survive that is.....i enjoyed that, however brief it was....l
-
Once again, someone in Bleach is compelled by an unknown force to blab out the secrets of their power, thus ensuring that the enemy will figure out how to counter said powers.
-
Why is Kishi dragging this crap on?! And congrats Sasuke, you've earned the esteemed title of Douchekage.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Neat to see Ganju not being evil after all, but he seems really tacked on.
@Ouroboros:Once again, someone in Bleach is compelled by an unknown force to blab out the secrets of their power, thus ensuring that the enemy will figure out how to counter said powers.
I guess Shinji took lessons from her.
-
Sakura Haruno Ch693
"I…I know there's nothing much I can do to stop this…
But I still loved you!!
I never thought you'd turn out this way!!
I couldn't be there for you when you needed help…
Or even stop you from going down that path.
All I could do was just sit here and cry. It's disgraceful, really!But..But Sasuke-kun! If I still have a place in that heart of yours, even if it's just a little…please don't go!
If we're together again... If we're together again... I'm sure we'd be about to go back to those days…"
-I've seen so many people say that Sakura has moved on. No, no she hasn't..she's always loved him and still loves him. Battered-wife-syndrome type of love.
-Lol all the pro-Sakura stans must be crying right now. She admitted it herself that she's useless.
-Sasuke has never given even a shit about Sakura and she says "If I still have a place in that heart of yours" Sakura needs help, fast.
-"go back to those days…" Its still the same as those days, he finds you an annoyance now just like he found you an annoyance back then.-I used to hate her with a burning passion, now I truly feel sorry for her, she's too pathetic to hate at this point..
-
Nice to see Ganju back, the rest was awful.
Especially trying to decipher two tongued guys lisp.
-
I guess Shinji took lessons from her.
Don't forget Rose. I'll never forget this priceless moment.
http://www.mangapanda.com/bleach/561/16
The face Rose makes is so fitting it makes me laugh. It just screams "why the fuck did I tell him how to beat me?"
-
Everything that's wrong with Naruto in a single chapter.
-
Here's how it will go down. Naruto starts up his ultimate Rassengan, while Sausuke summons up his ultimate Chidori. Both of them collide and a huge explosion occurs. The smoke clears away and you see them French kissing. The next page says "Heart" then the last page is a double page saying the end.
-
so, when "W" does vollständig, will his tongues just fuse together into a big awkward one or is going to split up into several tongues like a crappy version of Midora?
-
Holy shit..: What a waste of chapter for Naruto and Bleach sucks hard.
-
First kishi is gonna waste a whole chapter at least for sasuke explaining what his version of hokage will be like, then we will have a straight forward fight in the valley or whatever it is, which means it still could end in less than 10 chapters. Oh how I hope it will.
Bleach was a total waste, cause once again this quincy is meaningless to everything and is just another over the top throwaway villain, that gets disposed off quickly.
-
Where the fuck is Ginjo.
Where the fuck is Kutsuzawa.
Where the fuck is Tsukishima.
Where the fuck is Grimmjow.
Why are you setting up these characters appearing if they're not going to show up.
How many Sternritter are left again?
Because assuming Chad (snort) and Orihime (double snort) get a fight and w-aahahahahahaha! Couldn't say that with a straight face.
Ahem Assuming they fight and win, there's not a lot of opponents left for them to face, right? And most are still stuck back on the Sereitei.
-
the sad thing is that I'm not even excited for the battle ahead…naruto still knows only 3 tecniques (cloning, rasengan, toad summoning),sasuke definitely knows more, but seems that they are all powers we already know (if not,it would be even stupidier, since the last battle was the one for the fate of the world and wouldn't make any sense to hold back)...plus,rules don't apply anymore, everyone has infinite chackra and no one uses strategy anymore.
-
Uryu rescue arc incoming.
-
NOOO not QuincyLingus, he was my favourite! I shall forever miss his elaborate design of [has two tongues], and his personality of [N/A].
But Whatsherface Squad Zero woman sure showed him, and got revenge for her beloved unique and totally not time-wasting subordinates in a brilliant display of cold emotionless detachment that seriously isn't overplayed by now
And did you guys see the fight choreography keeping Hot Spring Squad Zero dude at bay, so that he didn't just zone out uselessly offscreen? That was the shit.
-
The only ones who should be flying up there are Ichigo, Urahara, Yoruichi (although there are far better candidates) and Orihime as support.
If they really wanted to win, the only candidates would be Ichigo, Urahara, Mayuri, Tessai, Byakuya, Kenpachi, Isshin.
I left out some other strong people who would be better used in SS.
Oh btw, WHERE IS TESSAI, LET HIM FIGHT FFS!!!!
-
Also, the fight with W guy made no sense. So he can deflect everything right? It happens unconsciously, and no exceptions. So how come sewing girl can sew a ridiculous outfit onto him without being deflected away? Would all the spikes in the robe be bent away as well?
Not that W guy wont survive, this will probably drag on longer. -
There was a 4th wall joke that should've been in this chapter. When Orohime was talking about the last time they did that. In my head her words were "Last time we did this, the series was still good." I would love it if the stuff was legitimately good with the stuff they do, then once the rest of the cast showed up, it went to crap. It would basically be Kubo throwing at everyone's face that he knows he's been crap since after a certain point.
I was hoping Ganju would just be like "Oh by the way, here are some former enemies who will be tagging along." and then Ichigo will be like "WTF". If all these characters return, it will be all at once. Tsukishima and Aizen are planning the biggest mind fuck together, and Juhabach is in on it.
-
I just can't get over how silly Sasuke's eyes look. Badass? Menacing? lol not in a thousand years. Like a drugged donkey describes it best.
Another 'fun' thing is that after almost 700 chapters of ninja stuff the last few chapters are talking about love and blah. Instead of devoting time to development of the characters and the world we have the worst female character in the series talking about love and how she needs Sasuke after boldly declaring that she's over him and a new person, what, 300 chapters or so ago? Seriously lol at Kishi and his inability to create anything coherent.
Oh, yeah. Plot-twist next week: Sasuke declares a Hokage needs to sacrifice his very being for the village and proceeds stabbing himself in the eye.
-
Btw was Sakura even useful at one point of series? Oh, that one moment when he somehow helped Obito to get enough chakra for his teleportation technique.. Except it was more like a pity move from Kishi since Naruto and his OP chakra should have been more than enough for that and Sakura should have nothing compared with that.
Well, Orihime at least had her useful power which have saved a lot of characters in series. Chad is in love with ground so I'll avoid talking about him.
-
Both sakura and orihime are useless. But orihime has a big rack, so she wins I guess.
-
Orihime acutally knows she is a healer and preforms excellent in that role.
Sakura just holds their hand while they die. Good to see Sasuke took her out of commission.
Good Chapter if I will be honest, expect to see many similar action scenes from the last time this went down.
-
Someone could make a list of characters Orihime have saved during series.
I have poor memory, so I don't dare to start… I don't even remember name of the guard whose arm Orihime healed during SS arc. -
At least Orihime gets points for
1.looking like a female
2.not having a false sense of entitlement every 10 or so chapters and screaming it at the reader
3.actually does her job well whereas Sakura kinda…fumbles around (what is her power anyway? Being a meat shield? I can't even point down exactly what makes her special) -
She can hit ground real hard.
-
She can hit ground real hard.
Oh. She must have defeated tons of villains by having strength like that.
-
Honestly, I'm just so bored with these series now. Oh well…
Naruto: So it's not fear that leads to hate, it's love that leads to hate. And vice-versa. Take that Yoda.
Bleach: Just...whatever. Why are you trying to pretend that Ganju has any relevance left, Kubo? And I'm gonna guess that Wind guy isn't done.
Also, I get what you were going for Mangapanda, but thanks for making Wind guy's dialogue nearly incomprehensible.
-
Now that I think about it… why did they build that statue of Madara to begin with? He was the most hated person in the village. I don't really see the purpose of honoring him and the battle Hashirama had.
Also they will probably replace the statues with new ones of Naruto and Sasuke, for whatever reason.
At the time Madara was the Uchiha clan leader, even though the Uchihas already didn't like him much. It was the Uchiha and the Senju alliance that created the Hidden Village of Leaf, so Madara(Uchiha Leader) and Hashirama(Senju Leader). The statues were a symbol of union of the two clans!
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
It's a monument dedicated to the greatest battle in the history of konoha and greatest victory of their greatest leader in general.
It wouldn't have quite the same effect if it was just a statue of Hashirama staring at nobody.
I believe it isn't about the battle, but about the treaty that they made in that place!
-

Yeah. Even though their battle itself created that waterfall and Madara already defected by the time the statues were made, the fact still remained that Madara was one of the founders of Konoha.
Also, Madara's statue might have been made not to alienate Uchiha clan even further.
I wonder if those statues are going to survive this battle.

Sasuke will look at the statues and they will crumble because they can't handle that much awesome.

I'm surprised no one's talking about this page, though. Could it be that the rumor about Kishi saying he was gonna make SasukexNaruto canon wasn't a lie after all?!?!?!?!?!
(God, Naruto just needs to end. Eeeeeeeend.)
The thing that lady in Bleach did was cool. Too bad W's gonna come back and pull something out of his ass to win.

Attack of the seamstress.
Maybe he can bend time as well as space. But he can only use it on himself or something like that.
Ooooor, get this. The Fairy Tail twist. Remember Midnight, he dude who could bend and twist stuff? Turned out he was able to bend light to cause illusions, lol.

well whenever we don't see any characters from years ago you complain that they arent there and should get some screen time.
whenever they do get shown, you complain that they arent relevant
seems like there's no way to win
even if ganju or whoever suddenly becomes relevant to the plot (theoretically speaking, realistically it's 0%) you'll just call bs on the plot changes
still cant win
what would bleach have to do to make you happy? -
What did we learn from Naruto today:
Fear leads to Hate.
Anger leads to Hate.
Suffering leads to Hate.
Hate leads to Hate. Also, Sakura leads to Hate.
-
what would bleach have to do to make you happy?
Bleach is too far-gone for me to ever genuinely like it again.
Also, to you answer your question about Ganju, again, Kubo is just too far-gone to salvage it at all. Up until now, Ganju has gotten zero screen time since the SS arc. I can understand him not appearing in the Fullbringer arc, but there's really no reason we couldn't have at least checked in on him during Hueco Mundo/Winter War. This tells me that Kubo just doesn't care about and/or forgot about him.
Now that we've gotten to the seemingly last arc, to me, it just seems that Kubo's just bringing back a bunch of old characters either for nostalgia, or because it's the last arc and that's just something that should happen in the last arc, or both. And, of course, to make matters worse, these characters will play no real role and just as quickly be forgotten (remember when he "brought back" Nel and Kon?)
-
It was a pleasant week for Bleacharuto. Not great, but still good. Gotta love Sasuke as an antagonist and Ganjuu <3
-
@Daz:
Sasuke: Naruto, face me at you-know-where! runs off dramatically
Naruto: Sure, be right there. Undoes the Infinite hypnosis at his leisure now that Sasuke left, freeing the kages
Sasuke: Wait, no fair! What about contrived drama!?!I also love the closure to Sakuras involvement in this finale.
Sakura: All I can do is sit and cry! Its discraceful really!
Sasuke: Sure is! *Knocks Sakura out"Its almost like a Meta-commentary on the character itself.
I believe the Sage said that you need both Naruto and Sasuke's seals to undo the Eternal Tsukyomi. I don't know why Sasuke is acting like tough shit. Last time they fought in the valley, Sasuke only won because Naruto aimed at Sasuke's headband instead of going for the win. I want the final fight to look as epic as this. (Skip to 1:00)
-
Expectation did not lessen the blow.
The best part for me was that everyone was talking about how much Sakura loved Sasuke. Her love was so shallow and quickly developed that she might as well have tried to convince Sasuke not to be evil by saying "I like your butt."
-
This is the main problem with Naruto: Kishi mistakes infatuation for love. What kind of idiot actually states such nonsense.
-
Sakura: I know your parents are dead, but I'll touch your butt.
-
Man this chapter of Naruto was heart wrenching. I don't know how you could read Sakura's speech and not feel a twinge of emotions… That girl is hopelessly in love. Also props to Kishi on paralleling it with what happened the first time Sasuke left. Apparently Sasuke feels something for Sakura, even if he doesn't want to admit it. Nothing else too significant, although I am curious to see what Sasuke's idea of revolution is.
-
-
Im glad not glad Sasuke at least has the fore thought to question why Sakura even likes him. This chapter was actually making me angry. Like pissed off after reading Twilight angry. This is not love. Sasuke showed no positive affection to her in anyway. She should not like him. She knew next to nothing about him as a person. She like all the other stupid girls just found him attractive and smart.
-
Remember, Sakura is the girl who thought that, after having seen Hinata sacrifice herself and declare her genuine love for Naruto, that it would be a good idea to tell Naruto that she would hook up with him to keep him from going after Sasuke.
Right around the same time she drugged her own teammates, tried to attack Sasuke by herself, and was nearly killed multiple times for her effort.

To be sliightly fair, much like Naruto's "brotherly bond", it's indicated they grew closer during their months of training with lots of offscreen adventures and developments, that were solidifed by the fight against Haku, and the the Chunin exams… and thus had something a little more legitimate than Ino's infatuation.
Unfortunately, being told they developed a close bond doesn't quite work when they're the LEADS, and such things shouldn't be offscreen and never really shown. See also the entire village suddenly accepting Naruto off camera.
Hell, we have a better feel for the Rock Lee/Neji comraderie. Or Shino/Kiba/Hinata. But they don't claim to be "as close as siblings".

What the hell are you talking about man. This chapter was fucking hilarious. Sakura is like one of Senor Pink's groupies; she's not in love, she's just a disappointed, sex crazed fangirl, and the man she's fangirling for isn't even a man. For crying out loud. Nothing Sasuke says hints at any emotions at all towards Sakura. Nothing. I really hope your joking, to be honest.
-
Sasuke's idea of revolution will be killing off the five kage and then starting his own country with blackjack and hookers
-

She was a little kid infatuated with the cool brooding figure in the class. Once she got to know him, she realized there was a lot more to him than just looking cool. She also began forging a bond with him during their time together as a team. She fell in love with him as a kid and hasn't been able to get over him. She tried to understand him and break through to him. Is it irrational? Sure. But its just about the realest feelings of love that you can have at that age, so I wouldn't call it shallow at all.

I mean obviously if you can't identify with her original feelings then none of the subsequent actions would leave you with much of an impression. I took it as a young girl's first love who she can't get over. Also, Sasuke reacted to her speech when he originally left the village. They weren't emotions of love most likely, but it did show at least an acknowledgement that her words could affect him. Also his "thank you", which was honestly a lot of emotion shown for him at that time haha
-
Sakura Status:
Battletoldsmy favorite one but they were all good.
Anyway by Sasuke's own admission he never gave Sakura any indication that he had feelings or cared about her. I don't think he's lying. I want to like Sakura but damn, can you write a worse female lead? I don't think you can. So next chapter will be Sasuke's monologue of his new world order and the chapter after that hopefully the fight will start. It would be nice if Kishi would stop at 700 chapters even. We're almost done with this!
I don't know the level of speed you'd have to have to sew an entire outfit onto your opponent without him even noticing but I feel like that's the most hax level of speed we've ever seen.
-
Well, my thing is that "having a crush on Sasuke" was literally the main part of her character for so many years….then it kinda drifted to Naruto....then to Sasuke again...then...just trying to be useful, I guess....to back to square one.
That's the big flaw here. Sasuke being evil and running away, Naruto chasing after him, the statues, Sakura confessing and Sasuke just blowing her off.....it's like we're reliving the end of part I setpiece by setpiece.
A giant circlejerk, if you will.
