@Miss:
I completely understand Toei alright. They're an animation company which gets by on the bare minimum of the golden pony they call One Piece. They have a good budget, it's just better spent on (Japanese) hookers and blow.
By the way, this episode was pretty tame. Not perfect, but not terrible; you should come around when they air a REALLY bad episode. That's when we throw our parties.
What I said is "One Piece staff doesn't have too much budget". Toei Animation has a lot of money, but it's none of One Piece anime staff's business.
What One Piece anime staff have is: only a little money, only a few talent animators, and a very tight schedule.
So it's not unfair and necessary to complain here and there. Don't you think it's more important to let Toei give the anime staff more space and more resources?
BTW, Allow me just quoting some words by Greg here.
The members of the staff that are involved with the actual creation and promotion of the series are deeply (read: madly) in love with it. In many ways, trounce even me when it comes to understanding One Piece. SItting down to talk with them and realizing their attention to detail is mind-blowing. However, many of the major calls regarding the development of the series are beyond them. I can't say much but do know that the people creating it are dedicated to the series just as much as the fans are.
BTW2, I personally enjoyed today's ep a lot. And the fact is that the average quality of this arc is very good, although it's not perfect. The anime's quality is getting better and better since PH arc, believe it or not.
But even though the anime is getting better and better, people are still keeping complaining and complaining. It just made me feeling very bad.
