There's also some veterans I want to get better at and use often this time around: Peach, Zelda, Link, Sonic, and Captain Falcon.

The only thing I know for sure is that I'm not going to use the fake dragon.

Fake Dragon?… Charizard?... Yoshi?... what are you talking about?

Yup the red lizard I'm still annoyed he got two mega evolutions.
-
My picks are going to be:
Main: Captain Falcon ( BUT OF COURSE )
Secondaries: Mac ( he was the only one of my wished newcomers to be revealed. Well, I only wanted him and K. Rool anyways, lol ), Ganondorf, Ike, Bowser and Donkey Kong.
And I'll use, but to a lesser extent: Mario/Dr.Mario ( I don't know which one, maybe both ), Sheik, Wario and Luigi.
Undecided on Shulk.
-
Where do people get those character images anyway?
-
Apparently all are too cool to share the link. Was planning to make mine after work.
Here you go:

Oho, we're posting our mains now?
-
Here is mine:
Created with: http://apps.warchamp7.com/smash/roster/

Hmm, my main was usually ness, but I would like to seriously practice with everyone this time around. I'm extremely interested in trying everyone but I'm mostly interested in Villager, Mega, Mac, Rosa, Robin Shulk and Jr. But hey, who knows who I'll feel the comfortable with.

Did I give enough characters? :X
I'm never posting, but always following ths thread. :ninja:

Did I give enough characters? :X
I think I'll end up using everyone except Zelda and R.O.B. Never liked using them
-
Awesome! But now I'm trying to figure out how to paste it….
edit: right. have to upload it first.

I didn't make a roster, I just took one someone made with purple shrugs

I am garbage at cropping, mind you. This is the first time I used imgur!

My most likely mains:

Another glitch:
I love this one XD
-
I found a video of one too (Hoping this hasn't been posted yet)
Zero Suit Samus has an infinite combo. It apparently only works on Robin however as Robin's physics when ZSS gets them with the footstool jump (character height + Hitbox) is the only one that allows it.

If you have snipping tool for windows, you can also use the rectangular snip option. That way, you can capture only what you need to like the character roster.
-
Fur realz tho

I'll join in the fun

I like to keep my "Mains" list somewhat small because when I'm not drawing from it, and when I'm not trying to learn a specific character, I tend to play the Random Button.
Smash's greatest strength is the high number of extremely varied characters, so it's really a shame not to play them all at some point.
Except Ice Climbers.
Wow am I glad they're gone.
-
A very restrained guess.
-
-
ur the only one I've seen say that so far
I got very little use out of them. Any time I tried to play them, I'd lose Nana at some point and then become useless. Ice Climbers' recovery, and most of their best moves HINGED on Nana's stupid AI not getting itself killed after you get separated.

That's the reason I never played them was because Nana always held me back
-
The Ice Climbers are only considered good because of absurdly powerful chain grabbing. Outside of that, they're pretty much worthless.
-
Hey don't you mock SoPo
-
Did you guys really find Ice Climbers difficult to use? I always thoght they were pretty straightforward and neat to play with. You don't even need to be good at de-synching them to get their power. Nana always tries to follow your movements to some extent which increases with proximity. Having a second player to your own can make your attacks more powerful, give you greater range and increase your survivability twofold. With Nana on the field, you're pretty grab-proof and, even without her, Popo can be plenty powerful by himself with decent maneuverability and range.
Ice Climbers weren't my best character, but I could do a hell of a lot more with them than I could ever do with Rob, the Star Fox trio or Hyrule tier (minus Toon Link) to name a few. Come to think of it, Ice Climbers were probably towards the top of my proficiency list.
-
I wasn't horrible with them, and yeah, if I got them on random I knew how to work them reasonably well.
But it didn't suit my play style at all having to worry about them. And really, Nana de-synching and getting herself killed happened with a decent amount of frequency. So much so, that when I'd play AGAINST Ice Climbers, the second I'd see Nana Desync at all, I'd aim straight for her. Popo's solo recovery is a joke. Worse than Little Mac in Smash 4.
-
-
Man, I never felt like I had to worry about them. With the way I play, I just thought of Nana as a bonus instead of a core component to the Ice Climbers. Nana is definitely the Climber's biggest strength, but disarmed of her, Popo is still pretty good because they have a nice moveset. The neutral special is a decent, if slow, ranged attack, the side special can damage and give you mobility and the hammer attacks are all decently powerful, even solo. I don't even consider his recovery too terrible because, even though it's slight, it gives him both some vertical and horizontal movement, which is oftentimes just enough to get you back in the game.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
@Cyan:
I've got my Hank Hill Mii loaded up to bring the Pro-Pain.
-
Maybe I was just never enough of an Ice Climbers player to really want to learn them…
I took the time to learn a lot of technicals of a lot of other characters too. I was pretty good with Olimar, Diddy, and Snake for example.
-
I made Miis of Hank, Dale, Bill, and Boomhauer in preparation for Smash. Then again, I made them on my Wii U, so I need to copy them over to my 3DS. Either way, the Pro-Pain will be brought.
-
Snake was the best. I'm really sad about seeing him gone, because I loved leading people on with trap after trap and playing mindgames with every goddamn one of his attacks.
Olimar is one of those characters where I'm always doing better with him than I think I am on account of afflicting people with a plague of Pikmin.
And Diddy is just bananas.
Edit: Miis I've imported/made just for the sake of Smashing include (but are not limited to): Hank Hill, David Xanatos, Dick Hitler, Duster, Notorious B.I.G., Stan Pines, Dio Brando.
-
I like to think that Nintendo realized that they had just advertised a game made by one of their arch rivals after MGS4 came out.
-
It's a forbidden love, star-crossed in its nature. Sakurai wants Snake in Smash and Kojima wants Snake in Smash, but their feuding households would not let this be.
-
Yeah that's actually a pretty legitimate issue to have because of the association with Snake to Sony with Phantom Pain due some time soon
-
It's actually pretty goddamn hilarious that Snake in Smash looks nothing like he does in his games.
If it weren't for the codec calls, he could easily be Big Boss and not Solid Snake.
-
Maybe that's why he's labeled as "Snake" in the first place because they couldn't decide if they wanted a solid or a naked snake
-
It's a shame that the Mii that i modeled as the ultimate sex offender is in my american 3ds. The one that i have in the japanese ones is only a "Groper" called Gropingman and doesn't look that intimidating as a fighter.
Yes, i have issues why do you ask?
-
@Purple:

(I know you're joking, but) yeah, he's a "fusion" of both Big Boss's look and Solid's.
Either that or it's another Les Enfants Terribles that the cast of MGS never talks about.
-
@Purple:

Yeah, that idea really hadn't solidified.

Has science gone too far???
Yeah, that idea really hadn't solidified.
So really it's Liquid Snake.
