According to a Gamexplain video, you can set to use items on omega stages in the full version.
And this game just got even better…
Also, that Villager is a "pocket" full of miracles. Yeah, I know that sucked. ;p

Also, apparently, tons of Japanese gamers are breaking their Nintendo 3DS circle pads playing Smash.
They'll be able to buy new ones very soon
I've gotten the hang of the villager a lot more, but I find his smash attacks really slow and easy to dodge so it's kind of hard to finish enemies off without a lucky spike. The turnip randomness is annoying. Faithful to the source XD. Forward air is pretty good at knocking back enemies but lacks kill power until very high damage. Same with running attack and forward tilt. Up air is nice if you can stay beneath someone but again, kind of hard to pull off. Of course, these CPUs are so damn easy to tree to death that it's almost a joke, but I'm TRYING to pretend I'm playing a human. Which is hard with the inhuman speed with which they block and punish attacks.
As for Mega Man, I've grown more fond of his back air than forward air at this point. Still has a pretty sick projectile game and aerial game, even if I can't for the life of me consistently do the uppercuts. Anyone notice how CPU Mega Man consistently punishes you with a forward smash if you try to roll away from him at close range? I'm wondering if that's possible with human reflexes or not.
Nintendo's plan with the new 3DS was have people wreck their old 3DSes to force them into a new purchase
Has anyone played the local multiplayer yet? I was playing against my roommate yesterday and we had a few matches where it lagged like crazy. It was so bad in one match that it froze and the game just went to the "no contest" screen. We weren't even far apart, just sitting about 3 feet from each other. Haven't had time to play another multiplayer match since then, but I hope it was just a one time thing.

I wondered if the circle pad was able to handle the Smash intensity, especially considering I've seen my fair share of Gamecube controller sticks wearing out because of Smash.
…Also, what's with the Animal Crossing picture? How is there nothing in that person's village? Unless it's toggled to not show houses/stores on the map, but I don't recall that being an option in the game.

I gave my friend Jessica one of my Download codes so we've been playing together whenever we get a chance, and I had a similar issue.
We played just fine for SEVERAL matches, but then near the end of our play session, it started REALLY lagging. It got a bit worse until we finally said we were done. It's weird because we were sitting RIGHT next to each other and NOTHING changed. We went from playing just fine without issue whatsoever to suddenly lag with no warning or reason. Hope this is a demo build error of some kind.

I've literally never broken a single game controller or handheld in my life, so I doubt I'll be breaking my 3DS, but yeah, I feel bad for those who might break theirs…
When my brother and I discovered Project M, he began playing it SO Furiously and SO frequently that he actually seriously hurt his thumb and had to give Smash a break for a while... lol.
I did a little searching around, and it seems even on the full version online play has lots of lag. I guess the 3ds version simply can't handle online play, local or not.

I suspected this all along. The problem is I also suspect it won't be that much better on Wii U. I mean, at least there you can used a wired connection. But when you have wireless N or better it shouldn't even matter if you're on wireless or not.

Well don't feel too bad.
You can find like a replacements pads in packs of 6 for like $10 on amazon. Easy enough fix I hear as ewll.
Some of the random online matches I've seen on Twitch didn't look too bad. A couple pauses to buffer here or there, but nothing unmanageable.
I didn't even know you break Nintendo stuff. I have a Wiimote that slammed into the TV during a tennis match and that was a good seven years ago and the scuffed paint is the only effect.
I seen a bit of wifi, it was okay, with some matches having lag, but they were Americans so the severs being in japan might have been the problem
Did a little more searching around, and now I'm getting a lot of mixed results. Some people say there's a crap load of lag, and some say that's silky smooth. General consensus is that there's a few hiccups here and there but it's still playable. Perhaps it's too soon after release date to judge online play.
Well, no matter the case, I'll have an excuse lined up when y'all kick my ass online.
Yea, I've only heard of the cases of online being pretty good, not optimal but still playable.
Same for local multiplayer. I played like, two matches, and only when my friend pointed out there was no lag did I realize that was something I had been wondering about.
Have to try for Demon's issue though, that's an interesting one.
I also wonder if the circle pad issue is a serious issue that affects everyone, of if it's limited to those people who treat their controllers like hitting everything hardest will help them hit the opponent harder.

I think the latter is the problem because none of the ones shown look well taken care of. I've had a 3DS since launch and it looked better than every one of those (even discounting the broken circle pad).
Hey, Hitting the controllers harder definitely hits the person harder. Just like in Mario Kart when I move my body to make those turns, or what my friends and I call Mario Kart DI.
Hey, moving your body in Mario Kart may not help you make turns, but I can assure you that if you drink and play Mario Kart, the game actually plays as if you were drinking and driving.
Does anyone have a spare demo code (NA)? I was a platinum member but didn't have emails turned on so I didn't get any >.<
I am willing to offer a Shiny 5IV KB Shiny for pokemon x/y (pm me for a list of the ones I have), or I can buy you any of the club nintendo downloadable games (I have tons of coins)
Finally got a chance to play with the demo. The controls seem to be not as responsive as I'd like them to be. Maybe just my 3DS? Has anyone felt like there needs to be a second between turning around and attacking? I seem to cancel turning around a lot and attacking the opposite direction than I wish to.
It is nice that the demo allows no items. Was worried by the lack of customization. I know it is just a demo, but control configuration would be nice…

The default button mapping is grabage. For what ever reason Nintendo has it backwards with most of their games, For some reason Nintendo thinks that people naturally rest their thumb where the 3DS' a button is, but most I know rest their thumb naturally on the "b". Nintendo just needs to rotate their control skeems over clockwise and it'd be golden.
So supposedly someone has hacked the new game and found files similar to those found in brawl with the missing 7. I doubt blues is actually protoman and lucas, wolf and ice climbers it's not surprising were there at some point. Mewtwo, dixie and marshal however are interesting. Still no ridley though lol and zapper is definitely duck hunt dog.
Here's something noting. Sakurai didn't put up a PoTD today. A huge surprise under wraps? If they was ending, wouldn't it be some kind of clear announcement? After all, Sakurai updated the dojo even after Brawl's release, and this time, there's still info to be revealed on the Wii U version.

Gulp. This was my big fear this whole time…...

I had two matches with my brother, clear as day. Then on the third one, we somehow got disconnected…..we were in the same room, too. Not the ideal situation, and hearing these mixed results isn''t so hot, but at least there was no lag when we played?

The plot thickens! …now I'm not a computer whiz, but why do some characters have 3 items, others 12, and others 2?
dunno. I though it might mean characters or assists, or unlockables-starters but then i noticed ike had item-2 so that's not correct.
As for lag in local multiplayer we only felt it when we were playing 4-player and 1 of the 3ds' were american while the rest were European, if that makes a difference.
I saw that list before, and the inclusion of Protoman (a second third party character from capcom? really?) and the fact that Sheik is misspelled makes me think it ain't legit. And the usual thing that it's easy to fake a text list.
Pic of the day. Now that the game is out in Japan, the Conquest mode will be available in online multiplayer in the Japanese version. This is what the title screen will look like for the overseas version. In this mode, the game aggregates global wins among specific teams during a limited time and determines the victor. If you choose a participating fighter from the With Anyone option, you'll automatically participate in Conquest. We'll be running Conquest in beta for a while.
Also, Conquest data where players seem to be losing on purpose will be removed from the calculations. And lastly, there's no point in working on this mode too much on your own, so don't overdo it…

Fake. Sheik is misspelled "Shiek". Marshal's japanese name is Matt, among a few other things.
As much as I want it to be true. Lets wait until we can get repeatable results.
I'd rather have the 6 vets back first before new characters. (IC, Lucas, Wolf, Snake, Mewtwo and Roy) (*we won't ever see squirtle and Ivysaur again lol). I say Roy only because he plays much different from Marth/Lucina. His power lie in how CLOSE he is, not how far, which makes him much more dangerous.
But if we get new characters, definitely Marshal (I've always wanted a new game and watch), Ridley, K. Rool, and Issac. Golden sun isn't even represented, what happened? Metroid and Dk both need their villains represented and Rhythm heaven is just another weird nintendo game that should have a playable character.
@Devil:
I stand corrected hahaha. Guess it just came late.
Finally the e3 trailer footage of the colored circle makes sense now.

juwqhM1NG&index=16Villager for God Tier
The more I see Villager, the more I am convinced he is actually some abomination from the Twilight Zone with power over dimensions.
Link at least is limmited to 4 items, plus sword and shield.
Villager has:
The ability to spawn turnips mid air (different from peach, don't cause the user to get banned)
Slingshoot
Umbrella (corp???)
Stick
Baloons (inflated or with the pump?) Plus the helmet
The magic seeds of a tree and watering can, and the axe
Shovel
Bug Catching net
Potted plant
Boxin Gloves
The Pocket
It's a given that everything can be in The Pocket, but how did a kid get ahold of such technology?
Damnit, Wanaplay WanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplayWanaplay
Megaman and Little Mac!!
Little Mac is really, really good. I've only lost once or twice online and that's mostly me using the side b and suiciding. That's easy to do.
does anyone have an extra NA code they wish to spare please PM =.= I really wanna tryout Mario XD

He can fit a coconut, a couch, a scale model Arwing, and a whale shark.

On Japanese systems the 'a' button is the confirmation button (it's why PS uses the 'O' button there and the 'X' button on the bottom.

Besides that it says "Koopaling" instead of "kokoopa".
I've no access to a 3DS or people who have the game - All I really care about is whether Jigglypuffs and Ganondorfs Movesets have been changed. Any infos?

Beyond some slight physics tweaks, no, it appears their movesets are largely unchanged.
Ganon's attacks are all apparently slightly nerfed in power but buffed in speed.
This is interesting:
!
I think Bowser is a pretty tough guy. eh only gets lightly damaged and doesn't afraid of flinching.
I'm really liking how most of the new final smashes look. Except Dark Pit's, which is most definitely not the Light Arrow.
It should have been a landmaster.
It should have been a landmaster.
Make it red with full power and speed. Can't have it looking too similar now, since it's a completely new and unique final smash.
Peach's final smash is still garbage.
Ha.
The Mii Fighters final sashes are just clones of Samus', Wii Fit Trainer's, and Ike's.
fighter mii FS looked more like Robins
Even though the vacuum is much more fitting I'm really going to miss Luigi's 'The World'
Seeing so many cloned Final Smashes and old characters getting no love (Ganondorf is still a swordless clone?!) makes me lose interest in this game rapidly.
Villagers Final Smash is adorable though.
