Oh gods. Why was I banned for trolling on my alternate history website? What trolling did I do even? I don't know what I did and why, but apparently I've been kicked out and left in the dark. I've tried to contact the administrator, and asked him what the hell was going on. I hope I get a response soon…
My internet keeps shrinking.
My day = Eating a big mac together with Ronald McDonalds = priceless.
Today was the "McHappy Day", where the money raised from the sales of big mac go to institutions that care for children with cancer.
Yeesh I'm just wondering if Something Awful Forums is worth it for me…
Had plans to go to the dog park with my wife and then out to a dinner reservation afterwards, but she's decided to ditch me and our pup so that she can get wasted with her friends at a hotel pool party. Haven't seen her for hours and can't even get a hold of her, I'm seriously pissed.
It'd be one thing if we had another car to use, but she took our only one and now I can't even take the dog by myself. I'd walk him there, but I've got a broken foot that I shouldn't be using too much.
Blah. What a shit hole of a day.
can anyone help?
I'd like to start a thread for users to showcase their artworks OR deviantart galleries.
I don't think I can start a thread myself though..

Spend the whole days enjoying the recent celebrity nude leaks
It was pretty good
I randomly got slammed with the flu this weekend.
Also my apartment's dryer timer dial thingy is busted so I had to hang all my clothes to dry.
Also all the anime/manga sites I regularly use are down.
Also it's hot.
suffering
Sooo are you some kind of sexless escort?
Are you spying on me? :ninja:
How do you know about my somewhat paradoxical livelihood?
I'm gonna do it… I'm so going to do it guys!

I'm going to buy myself some clothes from under the "Men's" section.
Why the hell did I have to have an outage the night before my first day of College?
I'm going to buy myself some clothes from under the "Men's" section.
Not to debase your endeavor or such, but I was never under the impression that women found it that difficult to procure clothing from the men's section in spite of the size differences.

Not necessarily the same in all cultures. From what I hear in some places it's still heresy if you're 16 and wear pants and don't have a boyfriend, and all that junk.
But yea, here in the states you can buy a lot of stuff in most places without people caring. Most people in retail have enough wild experiences to know not to ask or not to bother.
I was enjoying a nice 3 day weekend of peace, quiet, and solitude in my apartment. And then my roommate came back. With his girlfriend. And he starting doing things with her. Horrible, unspeakable things. Okay, it wasn't that bad but if I had known what was coming, I would have blasted loud porno music on my speakers and then go on a nice long walk to iron my dog in the swimming pool. Or some other urgent business that I had forgotten until now.
The roommate experience is never complete without that moment when you wish that you had paid extra money just so you could have the apartment to yourself.
First day of the new semester for me, hopefully the last one at this school. Just have to deal with two required courses that I'm retaking after failing the first time around.
Edit: I have also, after a summer of frustration, successfully diagnosed the source of my netbook's overheating problem. So that is good news.

Naturally my generalization does not apply to locations that perceive women in pants as an abomination against the natural order. But I figured it is has become fairly commonplace for women in a majority of the western world.

I'm sure you will look great in whatever clothes you chose :3
I really should update you guys more often. Hmm.
I'm in the US now, have been for almost a month and a half. Things are amazing, being with the boyfriend is spectacular. The heat is unbearable and school has been kinda dull so far, but things are looking up! I'm here to stay for at least two years.
watched, almost in slow motion, as my English muffins slid off my plate on onto the couch jelly side down
There was a suspension of service on the train today, due to a sick passanger farther down the line. Now, everyone had to get off, and being in the middle of the Bronx (unknown to me) is enough to make a guy anxious.
Luckily I caught a cab with someone and we rode to another station.
It just started raining hard. I hate it when this weather happens while I'm at school. I don't want to have to walk between the buildings in this.
Guess I'll just keep hanging out here in the library, and hopefully it will have calmed down a bit by the time my next class rolls around.

Not experiencing too much culture shock i take it?
I figured that a northern commie in the faraway land of Arizona would be feeling a bit lost but that's great if you feel at home.

I haven't experienced many of the radical republicans yet, fortunately most of the people I hang out with are not interested in politics. But meh, the culture shock isn't all that great. Just like in Sweden, there's a McDonald's whenever I turn my head.
Something is really wrong with you when someone screams "hey, nerd !!!" and you turns your head to see if the person is talking to you.:ninja:
Bad news, my other dog is acting strange, every time that I catch her, she cries.
Time to go to the vet.
Well, at least I have my quiz game to make me happy…

Project Americanization has obviously borne fruit.
My granny got scammed 6 hours ago. For fucking 10,000 uah (779.606$), I'm furious, elders, I fucking swear!
Edit: Done talking with police, went outside and told other grannies to spread the word, and watch out, turns out one of them met this bunch back in August 17(didnt give them any money thought), therefore, this are some real stupid bunch to hang around this long in one location.
And since its so, its pretty comforting to know that I can bump into them one day, and call dad to rip them a new one.
That's horrible. But is that figure accurate?
I mean she didn't have 3/4s of a million bucks laying around did she
Sad to say that, well, I have no idea what Lef's granny got scammed out of, but the elderly in general tend to be the targets of some large monetary value scams
That's horrible. But is that figure accurate?

She was saving it up, to fix the roof in village. No roofs now. It was quite a stupid scam scheme as well- (police told me they had to file similar report a week ago, only that time, that granny, spent 23,000 uah)
! From what I understand it went a little something like this. A woman(woman A) would be standing talking with some guy(guy A), they see potential victim, a guy would walk away, the woman would offer a lottery ticket of sort, at some point she would advertise the new 'whatever' shop opening someplace and that they are looking for potential (middle class, why would anyone even mention middle class) buyers by giving away prizes if you are lucky, a woman would also comment that the guy who just walked away won some trip for vocation(bullshit that guy is working with them), the woman(woman A) would then direct the victim to her other partner(who is that case was another woman, woman B), she would make a call to check the ticket, and woo-hoo we got a winner, gran won an electric tea-pot.
! Next another woman(woman C) would come by, and they would hand her the ticket as well, and she is a winner as well, but not local(meaning not from Kiev, today she was from Odessa, on 17th of august it was the dude(guy A) from Kharkiv). At some point (and i still don't get how that makes sense), they would tell the winners that two win-tickets means bigger prize(in this case it was a TV), for some damn reason they would hand out the winners 400 $, idea was that they were suppose to split, now, I think my gran was paying little attention because she tells me the woman(C) was all about taking 400$ herself leaving my gran some 20$ bills (to treat herself with some sweets), but thing is this scheme demands cons to lay out a rule, that the one who got more money to prove that they are middle class, takes the prize(to come to imaginary shop at legit address), or if you dont want prize you can get some money bonuses instead(no really how does that make sense, at all). Taking into the account that rule, woman(C) brags that she got 5,000 uah on her because she was on her way to buy refrigerator. Granny is offended tells her to hold her horses, that she got enough money to prove that she is not poor, cons agree that it would be better if the locals won the prize, because they are looking for potential buyers after all. Woman (A) asks my gran to confirm if possible, -now I don't know if its a thing or not- so they head to our home (home! dammit), and she takes out her savings to show that she got more cash than the woman(C). A con would then put the money(10,000 uah) and 400$ in envelope while my gran is watching, ask her to hold the envelope while the woman(A) seals it with a "special tape". They tell her not to open it cuz it's special, and they would know, and that the deal would be busted. Give her the location of fake shop and fake name and fake phone number. Tell her to swing by and collect her prize latter.
! After that the bunch went away, and granny went to marketplace, after she returned home 5 hours latter, I had to do some googling, carefully open peephole in envelope on the side(so I can glue it back if necessary), smell it, stinks like newspaper, the edges of 'bills' are messy, make hole big enough to fit my finger and roll one of bills in a tube, pull it out. Wow gran won a whole bunch of newspaper bills.
! If she ignored it and told them she had no money they would hand in 400$ to their 'winner' with no envelopes involved(told me the elderly woman I spoke to after the chit-chat with cops)
I hope they catch them Lef.
That's horrible. But is that figure accurate?

I did a double take too when I thought the amount was close to a million but if you look again you'll see a period instead of a comma separating the numbers. 10,000 UAH is roughly 776.13 USD.
I hope they catch them Lef.
Probably not, but if the stereotype about elders holds true, then there is a slight chance.

Oh, ohhhhh, I didn't get it at first but now I see, sorry for confusion(I just copy pasted what google gave me, shouldn't have added any commas to 10000)
The good old comma/point division eh. Still causing confusion.
On todays menu we'll be serving broccoli soup and garlic bread.
And i'm probably gonna go sightseeing around the island a bit.
Heard that there might be a 24 hour gym around these parts, maybe i'll check that out.

779.593 USD = roughly 780 USD (roughly 5536 SEK). Not 779 593 USD. Still a lot of money but nowhere close to what you were thinking.
Anyhow, I love the fact that I normally don't need to work on mondays. Woke up close to noon and the only constructive thing I've done all day is book a table for restaurant AG this friday since a friend of mine hasn't tried it yet. He's up for a nice surprise.
And the only thing I've got planned today is trying to make my way to the store later on… dinner should be able to cook swiftly without much effort while still be enough for lots of lunchboxes. I need to catch up with what's happened on the net this weekend since I've been hanging around in the woods with my friends without as much as a cellphone. We tried to make soap and... it failed pretty badly. But we had a good time?
Also, I'm a bit worried. I found a tick stuck on my tummy yesterday after I'd come home from the wilderness (first one in years) and of course I had forgotten to get myself vaccinated for TBE earlier this spring. The chances of getting it is minimal at best but still. My mother is a doctor and she always reminds her children every year to get the vaccine. Urgh.
Also. I now have a bunch of apples. I should make apple pie and stuff but... I don't have the energy. Meh.
Last week was quite a pain in the ass, having to deal with training a couple of newbies for the cart pusher position. Other than that, it's the same old same old.
Urgh. I went to the store to buy dinner and remembered that I had invited my twin sister over for dinner tomorrow, to celebrate her new job as a programmer with Oracle (we would've done it sooner if she wasn't going to Belgium over the weekend to meet a friend and I wasn't going camping out in the woods with some of my friends). She's going off to Spain for at least two years so that's gonna be intresting. I only visited her once in Tokyo when she was studying at Todai, it will be so much easier (and cheaper) to visit her in Spain.
Anyway.
I had invited her over for dinner so I had to buy groceries for both today and tomorrow and it turned into quite a heavy load.
For tomorrow I'll make baconwrapped tenderloin pork with ovenbaked root vegetables and a homemade cream sauce with mushrooms. And then I've bought some coffee snack things afterwards. Should be enough… except I forgot to buy lactouse free milk and cream. Damn it. Ok. There goes my plans of not shopping after work tomorrow. Good thing I'm writing these things down or I would've just used normal products.
Today I'll try to recreate the stew we had when I was camping this weekend (plus meat cause we went vegetarian on that one). I already forgot to buy the white beans for it so it will probably end up like a normal stew but oh well. And it wont take no time at all to make either, more like... 1-1,5 hours. Urgh. Why do I set myself up for these kind of projects? v.v
And oh yeah. My sister is kind of a neat freak and my apartement looks like someone bombed the place since... no one has cleaned up in like forever. My brother and some of his friends attended a costume ball not too long ago and there are still sewing materials spread around everywhere. Together with the dust. And the dishes. And my sleeping and camping bags. This... should be dealt with somehow before tomorrow.
Hm... goes back to watching Terror in Resonance
It rained while I was walking, I lost several hours at work because of other people being lazy and taking too many breaks, and had the luxurious dinner of reheatable pizza.
But in terms of life, everything just feels amazing. I like the strength I reclaimed in my new job, I like recent interactions I have with friends, and most of all I like the new freedom of time I have to enjoy what I love and time with those I care for.
Just wanted to expel some of my happiness since I realized most of my posts have been salty and negative about smash bros stuff and games … it's silly I guess, maybe I just enjoy the fact it's a dramatic anger covering a happiness and warmth that's been building up over the past few weeks.
I finally decided to clear out my old yu-gi-oh cards, so today I gathered them all together and searched for the best ones.
The results shouldn't have been surprising, considering how old and extensive the collection is, but I was still surprised.
65 rares, 46 super rares, 30 ultra rares, 8 secret rares. 149 rare cards total.
Sweet! Ebay, here I come! XD
My day is ruined now, since I just got a glass shard in my foot. And I have to buy groceries tomorrow. I'm going full fatass mode with Nutella and Peanutbutter.
Well thought MDL, I have some pokemon cards I want to sell too.
Job = It´s always nice to work in a new place, and by far, this is the hardest job I had. Lots of business trips and lots of studying. I have the chance to see some fine art. Since the museum have a restaurant, I can say good bye to Subways and McDonalds everyday.
Life = My extension course will start on Saturday, "anxious".
I´m very happy because in November I will go to the 7th international gathering of librarians. And one of the guests will be the cartoonist responsible for Captain Ugly…I HAVE TO GO !!
My quiz game is over, thanks for everyone who participated.
Overslept for work.
Whoa, it kinda feels like I've been asleep for months.
Oh.
^Yeah Print, where have you been?

There's an international gathering of librarians!? This could only be cooler if this was like the 300th one and the gathering has been going on back for centuries, and it was super secret up until modern times.

Yes there is, this will be my second time in this gathering. And from what I saw from the first, I think I will go every year.
To see great things and heated discussions. :ninja:
I´m lucky that this year, the meeting will happen in my city.

I basically ran out of free time. Was already hugely struggling with a 2 hour commute each way around work, a moth infestation in my room, and needing to find a place to move to, not to mention flatmate stress. Then things got worse - my commute back got lengthened to 2.5 hours due to transport changes, work got a load more stressful with a new project, the moths infested the entire flat, and I still didn't have anywhere to move to. At one point I got a nasty foot infection that my doctor told me to take time out over but I couldn't stop because work, moths, and flathunt (and I was looking at places in a town that was even further from my London flat than work was, so each viewing would take the entirety of an evening). Eventually, I ran out of time to find somewhere, and had to move in with my aunt while I put my stuff in storage. Eventually, my work colleague and I were able to secure a place, and I finally moved in towards the end of August, only to have no firm net connection and needing to acquire furnishings as the flat was sparse when we moved in (you need so much stuff ;_;). And then when I brought my stuff out of storage, the moths came with it, so I had to spend the evenings doing my best to contain them before they infested this new flat too, meaning a lot of evenings spent running around with insecticide, and putting pretty much all my stuff in sealed containers and vacuum-seal bags so that I can compartmentalise the infestation and deal with it over time instead of having them potentially be anywhere at any time.
I really need a holiday.
Damn .
@Print:
Overslept for work.
Whoa, it kinda feels like I've been asleep for months.
Oh.
Overslept for school. Like… More than once.
Don't let this shit happen to you guys, now I'm scrambling to recover and it's just snowballing and shiiiiiit ;_;
Also wb! I feel ya on the having little free time thing.
Work I have no problems with, but even with school with my alright 3.0 GPA, I still feel the immense dread as always lol. Maybe it's still possible to recover (I know it is, I've just gotta pull it together right now, go to class every time, and put in the hours for studying). I'm gonna try to talk to a school counselor for some reassurance, or maybe a kick in the ass.
Thanks guys. I did miss this place.
Though now I have free time, I have no idea what to do with it. Also a reminder that I'm still single XD
FWIW I don't live in London anymore. But I can get there in under an hour from my door using public transport, and buy a coffee on the way. I've got a town centre within walking distance though so I'm not that remote. My commute now involves 40mins on a bus going through mist-covered fields and pine forest, so a marked improvement there.
