E3 2014

I missed the sony stream because I fell asleep but HOLY SHIT GRIM FANDANGO!!!! Sony has won. Can't beat the greatest adventure game of all time. What a surprise.
-
Grim Fandango is a timed exclusive just like pretty much everything else at all the conferences. Tim Shafer confirmed more on other platforms later on.
-
Then the true winner of E3 is Grim Fandango.
-
Missed the last half hour of Sony's show. Just caught up on everything though.
Things I'm most excited for:
-
Bloodborne–This tops my list just because of Hidetaka Miyazaki. I'm not lying when I saw this man is responsible for ruining a whole lot of games for me. Demon''s and Dark Souls are just two of the greatest experiences I've ever had gaming, and he has earned my absolute faith such that I will buy anything with his name on it. I cannot wait to learn more.
-
Destiny--I've never been a big MMORPG or FPS kinda guy, but this game has me incredibly intrigued and hyped. The story seems interesting and the gameplay seems fun. Can't wait for September.
-
No Man's Sky--I have not been this intrigued by a game in quite a while. I don't know quite what to make of it yet, or if I'll even like it. But it has a lot of promise.
-
Little Big Planet 3--The first two games brought me so much joy, and I spent hours upon hours crafting stages. Can't wait to get back into it.
-
Assassin's Creed: Unity: I had played all of the game, but never been a big fan of them until Black Flag, so I've got a lot of renewed interest in the series, especially since it's set during the French Revolution.
-
Inside--From the people who brought us Limbo. Nuff said.
-
Arkham Knight--Asylum and City were great games, so I've got big expectations for Rocksteady's finale.
-
Abzu--Nothing really needs to be said here, does it?
-
PS4 Destiny Bundle--I still don't have the system so this is perfect, the white is sexy as hell, and a price point of $449 is fantastic.
-
Grim Fandango--It'll be fun to play the game again on the PS4. Would be higher, but I'd feel a little guilty ranking a remastering at number 2.
As for Ninetendo... Well, it's kind of sad. A few years ago I was such a Nintendo fanboy that they's easily "win" every E3 even if their show wasn't all that impressive. But I've really fallen out of love with them. I've gotten tired of Zelda, Mario, and Smash Bros. I want Nintendo to release an impressive new IP that will capture my attention, because at this point I've got no real interest in them anymore, and that kind of breaks my heart.
-
-
WayForward said there'll be big news about Shantae and the Pirate's Curse at E3.
I'm expecting a release date they'll fail to meet.Apparently at E3 meant during the time period:
-
-
@Cyan:
Gif from last year i'm assuming
Cause if you watched so far this year that would not be true.
EA was pathetic
Microsoft was great
Sony was great minus 20 minutes
Ubisoft as greatNintendo is still stretching
-
No Man's Sky and Grim Fandango remaster providing some good bait for the PS4.
Seriously, Grim Fandango is probably the only game for me where a remake would be a system seller.
-
I didn't care for any of the press conferences. Yea, Sony did break from games but at least they tried to feed information and actually felt a little like a "press" event.
The others were as useful as going to a site and watching a bunch of game trailers all day without being able to skip the ones I didn't care for or the long demos. All the demos felt like they dragged on. At least in the LittleBigPlanet 3 one, it wasn't acted and the people actually sounded like they were having fun.
It didn't feel like there was that much "new" in any of them.
Game I was most impressed with - No Man's Sky. For the amount of people that worked on that and the ambition of it all, I would support it. I think it would be even better if it can be integrated with that VR thing Sony is working on as well.
Game that looked the prettiest - Uncharted 4. I may be biased, but I really dug the detail and how it looked even for as short as that was.
I gotta say, I think Nintendo has a shot this year to "win," at least for me.
-
So apparently TIME leaked photos of Miyamoto's three new games, something called Project Giant Robo, Project Guard, and
! Wii U Star Fox.

let me add an official confirmation from Miyamoto for you.

Don't open it guys.
It's awesome but wait 1 hour. It will be so much more epic being shown in Direct first and not in a Time Magazine.
Sadly by the time you read my post it will be already too late.
-
I opened it and read interview on NintendoLife, and I like the sound of the control scheme. I'm not the biggest fan of ________, but I'm still excited to see what they'll show of it.

Eeyup.
At least I know Nintendo already won E3 xD
Now it's just a matter of waiting a horrible horrible 50 minutes. -
Damn, now I feel I've been spoiled. I held back from actually reading the interview though so all I really know is that the game exists, which isn't that bad going into it. I'm sure Nintendo has more than one surprise.
They've likely won.
-
I'm not opening it, but let it be F-Zero, please Miyamoto please please please.
But seeing your responses, I'm sure that's not going to be it. Oh, the wait~
-
I'm willing to bet that most people, that care about who WON E3.
Already made up their minds, before E3 even started. See > Fanboys.Anyways, so far i'm not really that impressed… I guess Bloodborne and that Platinum Dragon game look nice.
But nothing yet that blows my mind. Mostly sequels (ugh!).. I hope Nintendo is able to show something mindblowing. -
just 20 short minutes left
-
Short? Maybe for you :I
-
-
For those watching it live, I recommend twitch. Less likely to lag
-
I like how the thing that was behind spoiler tags on the previous page was the first thing I saw in the stupid chat thing Nintendo's got going

And that's why you hide the chat. Also because of that one person who kept spamming #agumon4smash
