It doesn't make sense though. You'd want to send only the very best in their respective field when creating a troupe to dispatch to a living hell such as the DC. It'd be cool to see him again- in fact, I'd absolutely love it- but it doesn't work contextually.

leorio hasn't even finished med school though
why would they send someone who really knows very little about medicine as opposed to, say, someone who is world renowned for curing diseases like Sanbica NortonHe's going to punch things.
"Hey, there's a strange plant over here Leorio. Do you think it may have medicinal properties? "
"i don't know, might as well punch it"."I think this turtle's oil may provide a breakthrough in ointments" Punches it
BEST ARC EVER.

He will make a heartfelt speech which will include the accounts of him fapping.
He will also punch a bad father ot two.
All that will touch the hearts of the powers that be and his application will get accepted.

This is minor but did anyone else think it was messed up Killua couldn't even be bothered to give Pitou a make shift grave even after Gon smashed his head in?

…huh?
Should he have bothered to bury those two ants that he killed running down the hallway?

All this Leorio traveling around the world punching stuff reminded me of this.

After years of punching, Leorio will go bald.
He will begin to lament the tedium of his life, yearning for the challenge and excitement of the days gone by.
-
…huh?
Should he have bothered to bury those two ants that he killed running down the hallway?
That situation was way different. He was in the middle of an invasion of the enemy base every second counted he couldn't stop to dig a grave for them. Plus they were two random ants.
Pitou was treated as Gon and Killua's arch nemesis throughout most of the arc and then they realized that she was possible of human emotions just like they were and even if they still had to fight they could still see she had feelings like any other person.
The least they could do for their killed rival is dig a grave for them. This is based on their previous actions like healing the bombers even though they killed like 70 people and this is semi unrelated but even Kurapika who had his whole clan murdered by the Troupe did Uvogin the decency of giving him a burial.
They showed pity for those people and they were way worse so why none for Pitou?

Wait and here I thought there was nothing of Pitou left after that last Janken, in any case even if there were I'd say tending to Gon's terrible state was more urgent than gathering ants pieces and making a grave. Meh… never thought I'd say it this thread was way more fun when it was running in loops.

Because Gon, after suffering an explosion of Aura to the face due to his ultimate sacrifice, was in no condition to do anything…
And Killua had more to worry about than burying a corpse, like his! almost dead friend.

They showed pity for those people and they were way worse so why none for Pitou?Because Gon was dealing with nen consumption feedback, a severed arm, bleeding out and all-around dying at that time?
Meanwhile nuke attack abilities were going off not too far away by the king?
Why the hell would they stop to make a grave for Pitou even under GOOD circumstances, let alone that situation?

Well I gave you two examples of them showing worse people sympathy which you edited out so I'll just say human decency. People will just use this as another excuse to call Gon and Killua sociopaths in the future and I wish the anime didn't show her dead body just like the manga lacked it.
It just comes off as bad.
Again its not a deal breaker for a great episode but it just bothered me for some reason.
-
I don't feel like you understand why people have been calling them sociopaths(or rather why people call their morales skewed) and making graves for their enemies wouldn't necessarily really change a thing about that. Also the manga showed Pitou's body right before she was pulverized(at least I assume that's what happened), didn't see the latest episode did they change that there?
-

GON WAS DYING.
No time for mourning an enemy. Particularly one that Gon personally sacrificed everything to kill.
Because
GON WAS DYING.
Are you missing out on that crucial little bit?
-
Again it was a very minor complaint I just wanted to bring up and I understand reasons why they didn't do it but the reasons why they should have just bother me. Again its nothing I just wanted to get it off my chest.
-
Ok, here´s the result of what Robby called nen consuption feedback and i called explosion of Aura in yo face
http://www.mangareader.net/hunter-x-hunter/333/10
It´s 2 panels, they don´t really spoil a lot.
This happened right after that last moment of the fight (already in last episode) when gon
! impaled Pitou with his severed arm and the proceeded to blow the s*** out of her
Why would Killua even bother with Pitou, assuming there was a body left after that final move?
-
Can the Chimera Ants be considered the 6th great calaminity?
-
Well firstly I'm caught up in the manga so no need to warn me about spoilers secondly the anime showed Pitou's body as fully in tact which is the only reason I brought it up.
Sorry I didn't know the question would bother you guys so much I guess it was just me who didn't like it. Sorry about that.
-

They stem from the DC right?

You wanted to show that they aren't sociopaths by having them make a grave of someone who Gon literally beat the shit out of in the most brutal way ?! ….................. Wow this is hands down some of the dumbest shit i ever read .
-
Oh. Well alright then.
-
Making Ging an MC would destroy the mysteriousness about him though. Maybe a little tidbit would be shown here and there while Gon does his adventures on the populated world.
There's no need for mystery. Gon has found him and that's the end of the hunt. It's time to find out what he can do.
-

As, I think, the only person on this forum who really did call them sociopaths (or at least I initiated it) I can guarantee you that I will NOT do that.
I mean, there's a lot of horrible shit in this manga that I hate, but Gon and/or Killua not stopping to make a grave for an enemy who, despite her emotions, was still a savage killer is not among them. Pitou can go to hell for all I care.

You don't seem to like Pitou much compare how everyone and their mothers go crazy over her .

What can I say? I'm just the anti…..everybody when it comes to Hunter x Hunter.
Except I will agree Leorio is awesome.
-
spoiler: Togashi is actually taking hiatuses because Leorio punched him.
"Where's my screentime!?!"
-
Discuss away but be careful. -
Why are we supposed to have sympathy for Pitou? The King learned some morality and was turning around, sure, bit Pitou was pretty much just a merciless killing machine with little if any apathy for others… and Gon destroyed him. No remorse there.
-
In the final history books written at the end of the HXH universe's time, the entire era through which the events of the series take place is listed under one note: The Golden Age of Fist King Leorio*.
The asterisk comments in a footnote that, though Leorio was never actually a king, he most certainly ruled.
-

The scenes where the King tells Pitou he's counting on him and he jumps at the call tears in his face something that in universe makes Netero and Zeno bothered because they came wanting to face emotionelss monsters not someone crying over a command with joy or holding a hurt girl with tender love never hearing such words for the King and gives his arm to save Komugi come to mind
Not to mention Pitou was the one most accepting and happy of the King's change into a nicer person and wanted Komungi to live because of that. She even says this in the chapter where she gives her arm to buy Komungi more time.
So yeah.
-
Yeah Robby what the heck, the entire point of Pitou at the end was that she wasn't an emotionless killing machine anymore. Same as Youpi really. They never got far like the king did but the guards were definitely going places as far as how they internalized their roles before they died. Like that's kind of the reason Gon even was able to pull the stuff he did off in the first place. I never bought that he could've taken any of the guards in a fight prior to wacky Kite crap, it was just Pitou protecting Komugi and Gon being a snarling baby and getting away with it.
You don't have to sympathize with her and I don't think there's much to really, unless something about her maternal instincts strikes a chord with you, but she wasn't like stoic robo killer. Besides she was always fun to watch even when she was just murdering things. still haven't watched the ep where she dies yet lol. I don't feel like it yet.
-
I haven't read the arc since it finished two years ago or watched the anime.
I just remember some of the horrible, horrible crap they did. Any slow turn redemption wasn't all that strong that I recall, beyond that they were starting to see humans as, well, people, not just food.

i wouldnt blame anyone because i could barely remember anything that even happened in this arc before the anime let me see it in one go. Reading it in real time was something.
-
Isn't Pouf the truly emotionless one here? Pitou has his/her "motherly instincts", and Youpi gained warrior's respect for his foes after fighting them, but Pouf just seems maniacal. He was the closest to murdering Komugi when she was having her games with Meruem.
EDIT: I think we can all agree this manga needs more Leorio.
-
Can't wait till the anime will lead to the GIF of Leorio punching.
