Now, for the disappointed OP fans like you or The Daz
Lol, we should form a club! And get T-shirts made!

@kouch_lee:
Oda, then, used Bastille to basically show that in comic form "What, we're not going after Doffy?", which means, "isn't that the logical thing to do?". That was said by a marine vice admiral. That means, not going after Doffy is NOT what they should be doing, and that also means Fuji has some form of reason for not doing so. Dumb reason? Legit reason? We don't know.
If this translation is true, it would change things considereably. And if that is the case, feel free to disregard the next big ol' chunk of post, which potentially springs from a non-issue; I choose to post it anyway because well, I'm me, I like to debate, I get carried away, and I really don't think you can rationally defend a scenario (based on the initial MP scanlation) where Fujitora prioritizes hunting Law/Luffy over Doflamingo. Also, I'd spent a bunch of time writing replies before I saw this translation.
To reiterate: the next few paragraphs is based on debates with people under the assumption that translation 1 is correct.
@Flipper:
Whatever comes up to the surface. He sees nothing. Says it in the lines tbh.
Thats a really dumb reason. "Even if you reveal yourself as a humongous criminal asshole, don't worry, I won't act on it."
@Flipper:
Doflamingo knows when he takes things too far. If he knew Fujitora will go against him why not list him in the bounties?
Doflamingo obviously didn't go too far, because he knows when he goes too far! Otherwise, he would be going too far, and Fujitora would be reacting!
Fuji SHOULD be reacting. This is bad writing, plain and simple.
@Flipper:
Once those "heads" will be caught, the game is over. Everyone is at peace. Issho is done. That's how Doflamingo and Fuji sees it.
Anyone believing that-especially Fujitora-is a colossal moron.
@_Hayato:
True, but what if his decision is to capture the alliance? I mentioned already, there's technically no problem if the Marines held back the people who are being controlled, the fact that I can't see how Fujitora would be able to prove that Doflamingo is behind it, is troubling. Besides the words of the civilians who reached their own conclusion of course, but Doflamingo only mentions the Bird Cage, and people randomly killing each other.
Theres literally an entire countrys worth of people who will testify that Doflamingo kidnapped their loved ones, erased peoples memories of them, and enslaved them. Also, former marine toys.
@_Hayato:
Think of it this way, Smoker had always been in doubt of pirates but he was saved by them and stated he'll let them go for now. He left Tashigi in charge while he goes to contact Hina and capture the Dance Powder ship, saying she should follow her own judgement/justice and he'll take responsibility for it. Tashigi stripped Crocodile of his status as Shichibukai only, he was no King or connected to the World Nobles and let's not forget that she did it after he was found and already beaten. What if Fujitora can't act directly against Doflamingo due to all of his status he technically currently still has, but does it indirectly? Like using his gravity to help them up? Not sure I'd be satisfied with that.. but I don't know, maybe CP-0 will play a part.
Hancock was an empress, and a Vice admiral was poised to strip away her title and devlare war on her nation if she didn't follow WG orders.
@_Hayato:
I know that Fujitora probably knows that Doflamingo is behind this, but my point is that I'm not surprised that Fujitora is going with his already given orders which is to capture the SH+Law Alliance instead of the already retracted order to capture Doflamingo. Their talk in the castle would be pointless, otherwise (I can still see it happening though). Fujitora always said he's blind which he deems himself lucky due to not being able to see the filth of the world. So just because he can't target Doflamingo, he can stop the people going crazy to protect civilians so whether or not he goes after Doflamingo, his actions so far have been reasonable in my eyes.
@Sereques:
Smoker left to go find evidence. The decision to arrest Croc came after they saw a BW ship filled with rain powder. Issho doesn't have any evidence against Mingo. As a police officer, you can't make arrest based on feelings or intuition. You need tangible evidence.
Are you saying that literally seeing and hearing Doflamingo MURDER A COUNTRY firsthand doesn't count as evidence??
@Raistlin:
Fuji's justice is blind, formal justice that is almost criminal in its slow application and insistence on rules as opposed to the spirit of justice. Saving the citizens by arresting Dofla would be the actions of someone like Aokiji (after much prodding). Going after the SHs first before dealing with Doflamingo is cosistent with Fujitora's theme
This doesn't sound like any rational line of thinking. Blindly following orders, literally to the letter? Thats no admiral. Hell, thats no human. Thats a pacifista. And it makes Fujitora look exceptionally moronic.
"Sir, the country is in chaos! We should target Doflamingo, the root cause of the problem!"
"Beep Bop, Request Denied. Suggested Course of Action not Authorized"
"But theres a communications blackout! How would anyone even be able to issue an or-"
"Suggested Course of Action not Authorized"
"FINE! Then what should we do?"
"Accomplish original objective: Apprehend targets Luffy and Law."
"Won't such ineficcient action result in tonnes of civilian deaths?"
"UPLOADING EMOTIONAL ENDEARMENT FILES Did I ever tell you how much I hate the Warlord system and civilian casualties? Because I do hate those things. Beep Bop, end communication.
@Dryish:
I still don't understand how Doflamingo thinks no one will ever know he's practically single-handedly orchestrated a genocide. Especially when a freaking admiral is watching it all happen, using his own powers to restrain some of his men that have been afflicted by Flamingo-boy's strings. Fujitora's slowness I sort of understand because there must be some pretty heavy internal turmoil going on inside his head due to his promise and his orders as a marine (I refer all of you to the page posted a couple of posts above), but sooner or later he'll turn against Doflamingo.
@Hy4000uk:
All of the admirals seen so far are morons (except Aokij)i.
The issue is: Fujitora is not being presented as a moron. He just is.
There is no panels suggesting the guy is making unwise decisions. No responses of disbelief from his men. There is no inner monologue chronicling his inner doubts and anger at the complicated current situation.
Which you know, would be the least to expect after an entire arc of showing how much explicit mistrust Fuji has of Doflamingo, and how much he dislikes Warlords. But nope, theres just a single panel of Fujitora barking out nonsensical orders, and thats that.
Now, As I said, the translation Kouch Lee refers to being correct-and a setup for, say, Fujitora forging an alliance with Law and Luffy to assault Doflamingo, would make this make a tonne more sense. I just think what is indicated by the other translation is indefensible from a character writing standpoint.
Now for other things.
@RobZilla:
I don't think he'd be able to sweep it under the rug, but certainly be given some kind of differential treatment given his status.
Like, I said to MetaMario, the only thing Doflamingo seems genuinely scared of is being murdered by Kaido. As long as that doesn't happen, he seems like he'd be willing to take the rest as it comes.
But…Doflamingo has already lost, regarding Kaido. Even if he somehow got out of his current debacle, would he be able to remain on Dressrosa? With his SMILE factory? Unless he murdered Fujitora and made no-one care, this aint' gonna happen. And even if he could somehow pick up the SMILE factory and drag it with him to some other back-up island...
Doflamingo has lost Caesar. He's lost Punk Hazard and the SAD factory.
This is the last batch of SMILE Kaido will ever get.
