Law can't even cut those strings with his DF. Doubt Zoro can do anything.
I think it was because of them in close-quarter like with Smokey. But that comes me considering Law able to slice pretty anything aside from some human and haki imbued stuff.

I don't think Dofla's strings are immune to Law's power.
Law probably also know DD's weakneses, i would bet that in the last birdcage (that was probably in north blue?) he survived somehow. (Maybe by joining DD even though he hates him)
Dd-"hey everyone, you know how I lied to everyone for over 10years? Well I've really turned over a new leaf and if you kill these people I'll totally reward you.
Law is/was openly terrified at Doflamingo unleashing Birdcage, plus he's still restrained. I'd assume he doesn't have the constitution (and freedom) to take on this technique, even if he knew its weakness.
that's where our rubber hero comes in.
Dd-"hey everyone, you know how I lied to everyone for over 10years? Well I've really turned over a new leaf and if you kill these people I'll totally reward you.
Or "I may have kept you working your ass off as a toy for 10 years, but you can totally trust my words! The cage is for your own safety!".
"People on the streets randomly hurting other people? Totally unrelated!"
Dd-"hey everyone, you know how I lied to everyone for over 10years? Well I've really turned over a new leaf and if you kill these people I'll totally reward you.
"…And I won't kill you hideously like everyone else. Honestly."
It's all how you phrase it.
I think that no one will be able to scratch the factory, until the inside Tontatas realize what's happening and revolt against their slavers…

This haven't happened for ten years, what makes you think they will revolt now?

Guess what else didn't happen in 10 years?
Still, if no one enters the factory to tell the Tonatata what is realy happening, they will stay well behaved. They are just SO trusting…

Well something is bound to happen, for the story purposes. Every structure has some kind of vulnerability. Maybe the dwarves inside will see the dwarves outside, fighting against pirates in Dofla uniforms and rebel. Maybe some ability will help the fighters break in, who knows.
Dd-"hey everyone, you know how I lied to everyone for over 10years? Well I've really turned over a new leaf and if you kill these people I'll totally reward you.
isn't it more of a psychological kill or be killed?

He didn't turn a new leaf. He outright admits that he's ruling through fear now.
I'd have a hard time believing that Zoro, who was able to cut steel long before the timeskip, couldn't cut those strings.
They could regenerate, though
law can cut seastone which's as tough as diamonds still can't cut DD's strings !!
By the way, is there any Falco Punch derivates of DD's punch from this chapter? Something like… Flamingo Punch?
I wonder how the strings are affected by other fruit users abilities.
Could Fujitora drop meteors down, or would they just be cut? Could he use gravity to pull down the strings? Could Law just displace the strings and make an escape route? And couldn't Sabo just escape since he's Logia now, and can slip through or burn the strings?
Any chances of getting an early chapter this saturday?

No chance of getting a chapter this week at all. Golden week or something in Japan.
Last night i had a dream. In this dream, i was reading One Piece, i don't know which chapter, but in this dream, i was really surprised about a scene i was reading. This scene was a flashback, about sanji's group. They were all like chating with big mom pirates, and nami saying somenting about lola's vivre card. And when i woke up i couldn't stop thinking about this dream, and now, 6 hours later, im posting it here, to see if it becomes true or not later! I speak spanish so a lot of mistake may been made here!
Kinemon has a few dwarves on his hand? Is kabu?
What are you guys talking about? DD is the king of DR, whatever he does with his country/people is non of the WG's business as long as he's still their ally. Fuji can't act unless DD directly attacks him or declares war against the WG.

From what we seen so far, they are just as sharp as Law's room ability. But he can use them freely instead of consuming lots of chakra to create a room. His strings also seems to go further, he can also adjust the power level of the strings from dull to sharp. This way he can control people or do quick attacks. I wouldn't be surprise if he can imbue his strings with haki or not, but even then his strings should be able to cut through armament haki. Flames seems to be overrated to burn the strings, I would assume it should be Fujitora's gravity to disable the strings from moving. But he is just going to sit there with his eyes closed and look cool for the rest of the arc.

What's that? He turned marines and government officials into toys? He has secret factories and trades with enemies of the WG? He plotted to take down an ally of WG?

Remind me who?
Also indeed now you are raising another interesting point: During the last 10 years, Sugar probably turned ALOT of powerfull individuals into toys, so the island is probably now flooded with even more big names than what we know from the colloseum. Marines and WG officials and revulation guys and probably alot more. This arc is just getting more and more complex, I LOVE IT.
King Riku was an ally by being king and Dressrosa being part of the World Government.

However DD is the right king of that country in terms of lineage. CP0 and the WG seems to agree to that or else they wouldn't let him rule there.

Nope, Donquixote family left Dressrosa. Can't just come back and shoo the family that ruled 800 yeas. Besides, we don't know how much WG knows about the circumstances in which Dofla came to rule Dressrosa.
It is my opinion that they suspect how Dofla came to rule, but they let him have it, since he was probably doing too much damage as he was. But currently, the bad sides of Dofla's rule might outweight the good sides. And if an admiral openly goes against him, that's that. As much as WG values Shichibukai, I think marines are still the force they rely on the most. So they will sooner drop one of Shichibukai than the men from marines.

That depends on how important having Doula as a Warlord is for the WG.
For all we know, there might be a special deal between Doula and WG besides the Warlord deal. Doula did use "I will quit" as a threat after all.
I wonder what happened to the other Donquixotes. I hope Dofla killed then all.

That will be awesome, bringing again the narcissism of Enel.
But I can understand him, who the hell calls his son Doflamingo???

not only that, but Doflamingo implied that his relationship is way more deeper than just I'm a shishibukai and a former Tenryubito
Mingo doesn't seem to have aged since Roger's execution,
and that was 22 years ago and yet they still call him the young Lord?
Not only that but he has serious history. I hope Oda doesn't leave any details out about his background, he has some outrageous explaining to do on Doflam.

any predictions for the next chapter? im bored lol

Well he is the man who will become pirate king one day as stated by monet just before her passing.
do we have a chapter this week?
It's Golden Week so no chapter this week. One week from tonight spoilers should be coming in unless we get them early.
i hope someone can make some kind of curse where oda gains one day of life from each of his readers

He still goes on break too many times.
Perhaps Dofla is the illigetimate child of a World Government official and somebody else which is why he can't have his status but still gets protected.

He said that he used to be a world noble. It's not like they're all celebrities or anything so they probably just erased him from any records after he left.
@yoi; you are right, i can see his sweat in that panel
@whitebeard: no, i'm just trying to show possible reason regarding
sweating string puppet issue,
oh okay, no disrespect meant, I just didn't understand what you had meant.

makes you wonder though why did he "quit" being a World Noble, and how does one do that. Is it like moving out of your parents house after a huge fight? [terrible analogy] The fact still remains he still carries the blood of World Noble. Becoming a pirate, I think, was his "formal" renunciation of his Nobility. There is definitely more to that story I would like to find out about.

I had plenty of discussions on MH about this prospect. I had a theory that Dofla works with WG to bring down Kaido with the devil fruits "that have certain weaknesses". On the other hand, I think Dofla's real goal is to take down the Nobles for whatever they did to his family.
He's basically a pirate, working for WG, pretending to work with it to further their goals while in reality building power in order to take it down.
But back to current discussion, there should be a line after which WG concludes Dofla went too far.
He still goes on break too many times.
I guess his health doesn't matter to you then? God people like you piss me off

Awww, does the guy who gets 3 hours of sleep a night and works pretty much 7 days a week as it is not churn out your rubber pirate comics as fast as you'd like?

Yup, we have to get him to work faster, 2 hours of sleep a night is more than enough.
I sincerely don't blame the guy, after working on this story everyday for 17 years he more than deserves the breaks but i sincerely would prefer him taking a couple of months free at once than have these irregular breaks.
