Franky doesn't need Zensu beans, he just needs some Cola and his good to go again!
Ahhh I forgot about the cola, that's shitty as fuck

franky's bound to get a huge raise in his bounty though considering it took 3 of doffy's officers to take him down and that was infront of a VA.. whether or not he helped is kinda up in the air, but still, it's quite a feat.
Doflamingo did jack shit before he became Shichibukai and he was 340m. After all of this 10 year enslavement of kings, world government officials, slavery illegal business, smile knowledge. Hell.. Doflamingo is going well above 600m. 10 years worth of crimes was a lot before the toys came back to human. Now it's going to be tremendous. Doflamingo has obviously gotten strong since them so its going up up up.
Franky already defeated 2 officers though, so it's understandable if Oda decides to not give him a full fight.
That was all off-screen though.

Franky vs Baby 5 and Buffalo wasn't off-paneled, just weirdly placed and distributed between 3 chapters, which made it feel shorter than what it really was.
Which is kinda sad, cause I'm not the biggest fan of that way of showing fights, but seeing how during Dressrosa we haven't even gotten a single full fight yet (45 fucking chapters in), I'd actualy KILL for that kind of fight. . .

He'll probably get arrested before his bounty raises though.
How can you possibly know that.
Sorry that was a bit of an exaggeration. Doflamingo was being a normal pirate, you know just venturing about like anyone else in the series. Until.. he pulled of a publicity stunt to become a warlord. Of course this would not be counted at the time because Doflamingos bounty was frozen before they added it on.
But that's something else that can be added on. Thanks for the thought.

He'll probably get arrested before his bounty raises though.
Yeah i agree. I didnt mention it because i didnt want to, but this is a possibility. In my opinion it would just be very disappointing for myself because i would like to be able to in a way measure how hard it is to have a bounty rise after 400m and i believe Doflamingo has the answers.
So, I re-read chapters 700+, and I wanted to share some thoughts, because re-reading it all at once completely changed how I feel about how Oda handled Usopp this arc.
I had been pretty 'meh' about it: it technically worked, but I wasn't really satisfied with it. I didn't entirely agree with the people who thought Usopp had regressed, but I sympathized with them. The resolution was funny, but it felt a bit out of place.
However, reading it all at once gave me a completely new perspective on that character arc. It's a perfect story for a legendary hero: after all this, everyone will remember the hero Usopp, who bravely fought a fierce battle to free the Tontatta and the toys. Stories will be told of the destruction around the executive tower, and how fierce the battle was. All these Tontatta and ex-toys will remember him as a hero and a messiah, and stories will be invented about how he accomplished it. It will pass into myth, like all legendary stories. The heart of the myth is true, but the true details will be forgotten, and new ones invented. And the truth of how he became a mighty hero will be a hilarious accident. It's just such a perfect allegory about legends. And the fact that, before he won, he did finally man up and decide to fight for the Tontatta on his own makes him wholly deserving of the praise.
Doing this has reminded me that, while many chapters stand on their own merits, there is a bigger picture, and I should look at that when judging chapters and progression. It's something I already knew, but after all this time reading weekly chapters, it's easy to forget about the larger picture, and in this case, I feel like all the pieces really came together in a way I hadn't previously noticed.
Not sure I'm really sold on Doflamingo getting thrown in jail. Even if he does get arrested, I'd assume that he'd be able to get his freedom back with his ridiculous connections. I do think he'll get defeated in this arc, but I have a hard time imagining Oda simply doing away with him afterwards. Much like Crocodile, Enel, Lucci, and Moriah, he can still have a role to play.

The only hints we've gotten about Dofla's pirate life before Dressrosa were his past with Law and Cora, and his story about stealing the world noble tribute money (which I'd guess would be the stunt that got him his warlord status). Whatever happened between him, Law, and Cora could easily have occurred before he became a warlord and could also be what got him his bounty in the first place. I'm sure we'll get those answers one way or another via flashback, though.

Yes he could be defeated. Me personally i don't think he will get defeated in a fight but mainly in a way that he just needs to get out of that country and keep a low profile. The only reason Doflamingo has been pretty much losing is because he has had completely unexpected outcomes that no one would predict happen. He's pretty much been having bad luck so far. Everything seems to be going to plan so far but Doflamingo is an extraordinary mastermind and Im sure he can pull something off before he gets defeated in any way imaginable.
Yeah maybe if a ship is transporting him he would probably have people hijack the ship or people intercepting the marine vessel or whatever mode of transportation may be used.

But judging from other pirates having bounties around the 300 mark excluding Luffy have not been as great as they we would think they would be. I doubt that pre time skip Kidd did things as bad as Luffy. Kidd has shown that he does have some sense in him in regards to being wary of consequences.
Other than that we will have to wait and see as you said.
It was said during Sabaody that Kid had a higher bounty than Luffy because he had a reputation for attacking innocent civilians.
I find it amusing that so far in the new world the Straw hat "barring luffy" who has created most mayhem is Ussop. Granted due to special circumstances but his lies have sure made him progress in unexpected ways. To be fair even if the SH crew isn´t the most powerful crew of them all it can certainly create the most mayhem
Dofy will be defeated by Luffy in this arc and Fujitora will take him to Impeldown. If this not gonna happen, then; (1) Luffy fail do his job (so far Luffy always beat a most important villain); (2) Fujitora fail complete his mission (if he cannot capture DD, he is useless Admiral).
Edit:
Except if gonna happen like this:
I'd love to see Kaido or BM come at some point but not too sure it will happen. I reckon after Doffy is defeated members of his crew are going to "save" him so to speak and escape somehow. I think he will have a role to play in the future and can't see him getting imprisoned. Unless of course he escapes from prison or something.
He will get his own cover story of how Trebol and Pica dance their ass off to raise money for Medical bills.
- Kaido come and help DD (like Rayleigh help Straw Hat)
Does Kaidou have some kind of slipstream engine to move miles over miles to the island within a couple minutes? Law made a big speech about louring the Yonkou out, makes me doubt that Kaidou would get away from his HQ island too, while Big Mam is already around.
I said: Except if gonna happen like this.
You now simply wrote: "I don't like how you disqualified one of my theories." Did I do something wrong by pointing out that that particular idea is very, very unlikely right now?

Not it doesn't wrong, but my poin about "excep if" that, I do agree the chance are very small for Kaido himself or he send his man to save DD, so most likely what gonna happen are this:

His lies have gotta come true somehow. Always wondered how Oda would manage keeping Ussop as the weakest(strength-wise, to represent normal people iirc) of the crew. By giving him a damn armada.

Exactly, I could have understand this sort of thinking before the time skip, but now that Usopp is actually becoming brave and everything I personally don't see how Oda will keep his words about Usopp being the weakest Strawhats something that he said back around 2007 If my memory serve right

Why the hell would Kaidou save DD? They're just business partners, they're not in the same level of friendly alliance like Law and Luffy. :getlost: That's why Law is sabotaging DD's deal with Kaidou. :getlost:

Well, he is still weak by himself, but he has a crapload of strong allies now.

That's one way to put it, but I think that people may have misunderstood Oda when he said that famous line, I mean Ussop is suppose to reflect a normal human, but humans have limits and Oda Usopp will have to surpass those limits If he wants to take on the big guns (Augur and …)
Usopp's sling shot is no match against Augur's rifle, for now.
Imagine Usopp and Augur having a fist fight.
You know guys, despite the flaws, this arc is pretty freaking awesome so far. :)

This is completely unrelated to the Dressrosa arc, but I always believed that Oda would finish off Usopp's character through some combination of him meeting Yasopp and fighting Van Auger. Since "becoming brave" is not something he can physically obtain or an actual title like with Luffy and Zoro's dreams, his resolution will probably be on a more ambiguous and personal note regarding him showcasing his abilities as a sniper to his father. Which I don't think will come easy for him given the fact that he abandonned him as a child, but he'll pull through like always.

Late reply, but Franky vs. Baby 5 and Buffalo wasn't that weirdly placed. The fight was the first thing shown during those 3 chapters, which makes it easy to find and follow.
It wasn't like the fight with Jora, which went like 714 (skip) 718 (skip) 722.
I hope big mum is gonna be on luffys side since she could be lolas mother, the strawhats could use some backup :/

Yes you are right cause all the pirate allies straw hats have and will potentially have at the end of this arc are really lame and useless. I mean who gives 2 shits about lets say the kuja pirates, the heart pirates, the barto club pirates , the sun pirates , remnants of wb's pirates , cavendish's crew ,Happou navy , the contestants in the tournaments and maybe maybe not the revolutionaries. These guys are just you know… fodder.
Seriously, Luffy could raise a fleet in the new world. And heck most of them are introduced in dressrosa arc there might be more as the story progresses.
I really dont think they need big mom to watch their back.
admit it! you think it would be really cool thou xD
admit it! you think it would be really cool thou xD
Well maybe. But then again hasn't luffy got a sort of a soft spot for shanks. I don't think shanks would really ever try to bail luffy out of a spot but im sure as heck that if someone would take luffy out for good he'd be out for revenge as soon as he got the word. So thats enough of a yonkou backing luffy really needs. Plus i dont really like big mom.
I hope big mum is gonna be on luffys side since she could be lolas mother, the strawhats could use some backup :/
I wish Akainu joins Luffy alliance!!!
and of course Arlong!
Dude, he killed Bellémere, how could he? :ninja:
If Arlong says he's super sorry then I'll be ok with him being nakama
Oh, okay, seems fair enough.
If Arlong says he's super sorry then I'll be ok with him being nakama
Yeah reminds me of his relationship with bellamy now, didn't he hate him before? D: and now he's like '' COOME ON BELL, YOU CAN DO IT! ''
man luffy has such a big heart :/ remember what buggy did to his strawhat and how much luffy trusted him later when they met down at the prison? He even tried to kill him @ Loguetown. It would be a shame if luffy forgives blackbeard too lol

like he would remember them xD
So, uh, match-ups…
Anybody has any idea about who's gonna fight who?

I think Luffy might fight Doflamingo. Just a hunch :ninja:

Well Garp vs Sengoku seems quite possible!!!

If we're gonna have a sort of "regroup" here for everybody, from Luffy and co. to Doffy and his crew, I'd wish Zoro to face Diamante. The guy wanted to be in the coliseum, well he can take solace in taking on(and down as well) its champion.

Wouldn't that be Zoro vs Ohm MKII?

A bit of on the spot match-ups.
Kyros vs Diamante. This one MUST happen, it wouldn't be the same fight if someone else does it. He needs to reclaim his title, avenge his wife and the pain caused. Diamante would probably report to the palace.
Sai (+Boo(?)) vs Trebol. I would rather not see Chinjao do it, Sai has Haki and his legendary kenpai would be a nice thing to see whilst pushing himself.
Chinjao, Hajrudin etc. Vs Factory.
Depending on Birdcage and what it is. Luffy vs Doflamingo (short) Doflamingo lands a hit first. If Zoro arrives he would have a crack at trying something.
Bit of a Fanboy match up but Sabo and Fujitora having a little scuffle.
Bartolomeo strolling around vs Everyone.
Pica vs Escapees feat. Zoro interrupting.
Doflamingo vs Everyone at palace.
Gladius vs Kyros (Short)
Bastille and Marines vs Senor Pink & Machvise.
Burgess unlocking an ultimate form and attacking Sabo.
Luffy vs Pica: Luffy shortcuts it and elephant guns the entire castle into rubble.
