Are you guys really stiff or am I more flexible than I thought? That's not a hard thing to maneuver
Seriously. I'm the stiffest dude around and i can do that easily

I only got my pinkie!
Robin will become Sugars favorite toy and in this way she will earn her trust by compyling to all her commands like a good little contracted toy and then, crushingly defeat her. Robin fighting? LOL, who're you guys kidding?

I can't do it lol, like not at all

Actually I managed to touch with 3 fingers, but the fourth one is miles away.
Personally, I have too much muscles in my arm to pull off such a move with my wrist. No, really.
Anyway! Will people return to normal before Luffy's fight, during, or after?
I can already imaging Doflamingo asking Luffy during their fight just who Lucy is, to which Luffy will smile and respond "My brother".
Personally, I have too much muscles in my arm to pull off such a move with my wrist. No, really.
I can't help but imagine you having little flailing T-Rex arms
Would be so fantastic but so undoable to me, if zoro have trouble to fight pika, Robin is far for being ready
Isn't that a false equivalency?

Yeah that is not as easy at it seems… Well not for me anyway :P

X Drake style, eh? I can go with that.
@Cyan:
Guys, who's this "Robin" you're complaining about
Usopp was sent in their alone for some reason (REALLY GOOD LEADERSHIP THAR LUFFY :getlost:) and against on of Doflamingo's top guys, of course he would run away
Yes. This. Makes all the sense.
On a related note, I'm wondering who is going to be the guy who breaks Sugar's power, if anyone will at all.
Robin will become Sugars favorite toy and in this way she will earn her trust by compyling to all her commands like a good little contracted toy and then, crushingly defeat her. Robin fighting? LOL, who're you guys kidding?
Even if you're joking, I could see this happening. The sad thing about hoping for a Robin fight is that, Robin herself cares less for fighting and more for objectives, as she showed in her failed attempt here. I for one look forward to the adventures of Raggedy Robin.
are you people trying to touch you're wrist or are you trying to touch a hand holding your wrist. cause one is very hard and one is very easy.
Zoro vs Pica should be pretty cool. It'll be nice to see Zoro finally have to work for a victory post-timeskip.
Gladius's ability is pretty cool, as well, and not what I was expecting for him. I'm kind of surprised that we just left Lao G, though - I would've thought he'd be chasing after Kyros or something, but I guess the other dwarves have him held up for now.
Kinemon's disguise is amazing. Totally didn't see that coming, and I love that it actually worked. I expect it won't last long, though - possibly Kinemon vs Gladius? We'll see.
Glad to see Franky's still being awesome, though I wonder how the hell his situation will be resolved. He seems to have the most on his plate out of the crew, at least in terms of the number of opponents he has to deal with.
Robin and Usopp's situation…I'm not happy. Not right now, at least. I know Usopp's a coward and all, and I've been fine with him up until now, but...this was low. It's one thing for him to be scared or run away, but even though he's obviously going to come back and save the day later, he doesn't seem to be thinking about that now at all - he's just focusing on saving his skin. And that would be fine if it were earlier in the series, but by now you'd think that he would at least be trying to think of a plan right now. I know he will soon, that was foreshadowed enough this chapter, but even when he acts awesome later, this moment is going to continue to sting a bit for me. Very disappointed that this is how Oda's handling this; he went too far with Usopp being a coward and made him seem really selfish and kind of a jerk just abandoning everyone like that (and because people may argue, yes, he abandoned them - he flat out says that he'll write a story about them in rememberence. He's not planning on helping them yet in any way).
As for Robin...I'll wait and see if she'll do anything later, but come on - let her fight already, Oda! This was a such a great set-up, and though she still has the potential to fight after Usopp takes care of Sugar, I would've liked to see her do something before getting turned into a toy. Oh well, hopefully she'll at least be a big help against Trebol later.
Really, the ending was a sour spot on an otherwise great chapter for me.
Pica's DF looks very powerful without even coating it with haki, I predict a Koka Shishi Sonson.
The way I interpret the whole Usopp thing was Oda trying to make a very funny joke.
Toy Soldier: It's all up to the SOP operation.
Franky: It's all up to Usopp and Robin.
Robin: It's all up to Usopp.
Usopp: I'm getting the fuck out of here!
lol
I'm looking forward to next week because there's a very good chance Sogeking will make his grand return.
I had somehow imagined that Gladius would be a tad smarter than he's proven to be.
Wonder if Doffy's got someone in his gang who isn't kind of a dumbass
What about Pica, Dellinger, Monet and Sugar?
Isn't that a false equivalency?
Just my own belief, as for me the three aces have mostly the same level

It's not really funny when the Dwarves are half-dead, The Thunder Soldier almost had his head popped, Franky is cornered and Robin has been wiped of existence.
Hey, if a person with Devil Fruit powers is turned into a toy, can they still use their powers? That's never really been clear to me.
Usopp's behavior at the end of the chapter is perhaps a chain reaction result of Robin getting turned into a toy.
Because with Usopp's memories about Robin being gone, almost everything from Enneas Lobby, where Usopp's character changed by leaps and bounds, got also erased from his mind. And if this is the case, it isn't surprising at all he's blaming Franky for everything.
When he said those words to Robin in the Puffing Tom. When he shot the World Government flag. When he knocked down Spandam and saved Robin in the process. All those important memories, now gone.
I just thought of something, maybe luffy may remember robin, as violet didn't know her anyway so she can't just forget her and she can''see'' everything like when the sunny was in trouble, so maybe she will tell luffy about it, and the captain will tell Usopp'n to react.
Prepare for a new Sogeking in Heracles mode. New devellopped mask and armor. Sogeking will own Sugar and Trebol. Oda make it clear, Trebol can explode and Ussop learned in Greenstone forest about explosives and plants. This is a challenge for an sniper to shoot in the mouth a ball and to create a chain of explosions with Trebol body.

That's… not exactly how it works.
@MJR.:
Basically the fate of whole Dressrosa now lies upon Usopp.
That has always been Usopp role in the crew. If it wasn't for him, Robin will be in Marine HQ, If it wasn't for him the entire crew would have gotten captured again in Thriller Bark and all their shadows removed. There is always that something only Usopp can do. As the series progress, he will have more confidence in himself.
Robin turning into a toy was so predictable. I also give up on hoping the rest of the strawhats ever get some type of fights. Seriously, unless it's the monster trio or Franky all they will do is anything not involving fighting. And now, time will be wasted on Usopp finally deciding to go back, and then more time will be wasted until he actually does something. Everybody is literally waiting on Usopp. The next few chapters are probably going to be about the coliseum. It might be 7-10 chapters until Usopp actually succeeds in turning everyone back. Sigh…..at least show what Sanji and co are doing!
One thing that's been bugging me is, why did Oda even bother giving Leo a (pretty damn interesting) Devil Fruit to begin with?
I mean, hell, even with their less-than-stellar screen time and performance, both Bian and Kabu got to use theirs on the operation some way or another (Kabu to fly and carry Toy Soldier, Bian to summon some bees and create a bit of chaos). Leo sewed Robin and his grandma and. . .that's it?
I hope he gets a chance to use it later on, even if he's already been knocked the fuck out twice in two chapters.
Overall, the dwarves have clearly been too worfed even by Worf standards. So fast the eye can't see them, so strong they can indirectly destroy buildings by hitting the ground nearby. . .and they haven't managed to get a single hit in against anyone. I even thought Oda gave the SH's a too powerful ally with a whole army of these fuckers, but it seems I was wrong, obviously. . .
Yes. This. Makes all the sense.

Well, I could actually see this happening as well. The only reason I don't think it'll happen and I was joking is because Robin and Franky, who are in dire situations, are putting their faith in Ussop while he is fleeing. Ussop might be trying to get away but the way I know my One Piece and my Ussop something will happen when he tries to get away that'll give him an idea and/or enough courage to go for it. Ussop is helpless alone so he needs back up. Once he has that, he'll be okay. The SOP plan fell and he surely needs to reassess the situation at hand. The tattababbasco is done for. Robin is unknown for him and quite a lot of the dwarves are forgotten or out of action and he's up against an executive. Sometimes it is better to flee for a new fighting chance or to come with back up than trying to dive in head first Luffy-style and loosing because that is essentially what would happen here. If Ussop would be forgotten, Franky would probably be defeated as well and his effort would have been fruitless and the entire SOP plan will have to be abandoned. Heck, Doflamingo knows what's up so something has to happen, and fast !
sighs I don't like how Usopp is treated in this chapter despite the fact that he will be the hero in the end. Why does he have to escape like that and acting as if he didn't care? I thought we were beyond this thing already. I'm fine with that he is too careful and bit of a scardy cat, but this is ridiculous. Of course, if he hadn't run away he would be a toy too by now I guess, but still. I guess he needs time to put together a new and better strategy. That's what I'm hoping for.
And Robin… maybe we will see her and Nami fight against someone again. That day might come.
@kuma:
Am a little bit disappointed in the strength of the dwarfs, thought they'd be a bit stronger than what they've show so far.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Anyone else think it a bit too soon for suger to go down can't see her been out next chapter.
Probably over the next 2-3 chapters. The arc in hanging on a hinge where Sugar needs to go out for the story to progress. Luffy can't wait for too long, if Luffy attacks before SOP is completed, Trebol will go upstairs making things difficult. The marines need to stand down so Franky can do his job, Marines won't stand down unless they know the true story of dressrosa. The only reason it will take longer than 2-3 chapters is if Oda digress to some flashback we have to see first.

That reminds me, Bian is still around, isn't she?
So Usopp is not completely by himself after all.
When he said those words to Robin in the Puffing Tom. When he shot the World Government flag. When he knocked down Spandam and saved Robin in the process. All those important memories, now gone.
None of this should be forgotten though, his mind would just find a way to remove Robin's existence from the situation. I don't think we've seen any evidence that people affected by 'the forgotten of Dressrosa' have different personalities now versus when that forgotten person was still human. IE: Your parents are turned into toys so you become a delinquent having had no parents.

I'd like it, sounds good. . .but I don't think Oda has plans for Bian of all people. I have more trust on Toy-Robin than Oda giving Bian a role beyond summoning bees. . .
. . .and even Toy-Robin doing something seems like pushing it, since she made it totally clear this chapter that she's leaving everything on Usopp's hands. . .

I don't really get that part. She's not really bound by a contract, so why the passiveness?
Woah, woah, woah.
Bastille stood there as threateningly as anybody could want him too.
High expectations it seems.
Just you wait till he uses his horn regeneration powers again! That will show all those riff-raffs!
by now t-bone might have become VA like everyone else..
If that meant seeing more of T-Bone standing around like all the others, I'd be happy. Because it sure beats not seeing him and his heroic deeds~
@RobZilla:
Yeah well it's not all about looking dangerous, fortunately.
Otherwise Luffy would be totally screwed.
Otherwise Strawberry would be screwed.
Robin should take this opportunity where nobody knows who she is and everyone thinks she is just another obedient toy, to sneak around and do some spying. Perhaps even digging up some dirt on the Void Century, seeing as how Dressrosa is a very old kingdom connected to the very beginnings of the World Government.

I was also thinking that it would suit her very well
I don't really get that part. She's not really bound by a contract, so why the passiveness?
Maybe she lost her power and can't see how she can help with such a body.
I don't really get that part. She's not really bound by a contract, so why the passiveness?
I get the feeling she can't use her ability.
Or even if she can, it's pretty much useless, with her limbs now being soft and shit.
But I won't jump the gun just yet. Maybe she will help somehow. That Sugar, holding that grape so close to her mouth, that's gotta turn out bad somehow.
I swear, I would pay Oda money to just make Usopp run over to Sugar and knock her out with a 5-ton hammer.

Hmm….interesting thought, me thinks.
I'm wondering if Oda intends to use this loss of memory idea to its psychological limits, or not really dwell on the concept. Saving Robin was a dramatic feat for every Straw Hat, especially Usopp. To remove her is almost to remove a giant chunk of the crew's trial by fire, and their strengthed unity as a result. Then again, Oda could just go "lol toy" and play it more as a joke, like the body swapping of Punk Hazard. But....I have to doubt that, especially on how dramatically the SOP plan took a nosedive.
None of this should be forgotten though, his mind would just find a way to remove Robin's existence from the situation. I don't think we've seen any evidence that people affected by 'the forgotten of Dressrosa' have different personalities now versus when that forgotten person was still human. Then how would it play out in the minds of each Straw Hat (I ask this rhetorically)? Luffy/Zoro/Nami/Usopp/Sanji/Franky/Chopper would still remember the battles againt CP9 and Usopp burning the flag, but there's no reason as to why it was done now…..since Sugar's DF doesn't create replacement memories, wouldn't all of them now think they did it for their own amusement? Or subconsciously, they suspect else someone was there?
Next chapter would be the least appropriate time for the focus to go on the arena or Sanji's group, so I'm betting one of the two will happen
I don't really get that part. She's not really bound by a contract, so why the passiveness?
You know. . .Might I be the ONLY ONE who's not that entirely completely 100% sure Robin is not bound by a contract????
I mean, were those pannels proof enough that she escaped being contracted? In fact, we could even think that Robin's passiveness is due to being bound by a contract and thus can't attack Sugar and be of much help???
I don't know. Not entirely bought on the Robin is a free toy thing.
Usopp can only rescue his remainig honor by using next chapter a new and epic pop green or pulling out the 100t hammer

Gotta agree. It's a major downside with trying to cram all the info in one chapter is that there's probably stuff that was just skipped over. Kinda like how Doflamingo knows about all that's happening in the Toy House even though we never see him get reported that info.
Good chapter - and good to see Ussop's cowardice.
If he'd faced up against two extremely strong New World fighters without so much as blinking, the whole situation would have been ludicrous. It's now perfectly set-up for a battle of conscience followed by a desperate plan and Ussop saving the day.
I have a feeling next chapter is gonna be pretty Sogeking good.
Just a hunch, though.
Pretty fantastic chapter overall
Still a bit dissapointed with Pussopp. Assuming he has forgotten about robin, he still knows the importance of Operation SOP to his friends, the dwarves and the country. Scummy thing to do, and I cant see any redemption for him without the presence of a third party (Kanjuro perhaps?)
I see Luffy is waiting on SOP's completion before attacking as well.
Kinemon's getup was hilarious. I still wonder what part he has to play in the doflamingo fight. Cant wait for Zoro to take care of Pica too
Also curious to see what happens in the tournament. Right now Fujitora is the strongest guy on the Island, but if Sabo or Burgess get the Devil Fruit then he will have some tough competition

I'm not too sure how this whole erasing someone from your memories is supposed to work… Take that Milo guy's wife and son for example! How the hell does she think she became pregnant with him? In a very wild party or something?

Then again, Oda could just go "lol toy" and play it more as a joke, like the body swapping of Punk Hazard.
Unfortunately I think the latter is the case. I've reminded elsewhere that this arc is the first opportunity Oda's had to really push the crew to their limits, and he's been setting up Usopp's role since the Norland statue, so I'm just assuming this is Oda intentionally pulling out all of his cards for Usopp. The memory of Robin gone is just another way of compounding is fear and cowardice.
I feel like a broken record bringing this up again, but Usopp's dream is to be a "brave warrior", and he cannot accomplish that now. His dream is easily forgotten and overlooked, particularly given the timeskip was used to make the characters more prepared for the New World, so if Oda rubs in the fact that he's a huge coward and he overcomes that obstacle in any way, then we have character development. This is a perfect opportunity to bring Sogeking back– the Sogeking of Thriller Bark-- so that's probably what we'll see, and to that end yes Oda could make callbacks to Sogeking's first appearances during Enies Lobby, which could bring up some psychological stuff.
The only frame of reference that comes to mind is Hack/Koala and Boo/Sai/Chinjao. Koala's is the only situation that leaves the possibility of forgotten knowledge given she is at the coliseum, having forgotten communications with Hack. This suggests her priorities have shifted because she forgot about the underground dealings rather than simply forgetting how she learned of them, but it hasn't been clarified. I would think your memory glosses over forgotten persons and attempts to make sense of what happened in the past, and if it can't then you are left mildly confused.
@Light:
I'm not too sure how this whole erasing someone from your memories is supposed to work… Take that Milo guy's wife and son for example! How the hell does she think she became pregnant with him? In a very wild party or something?
We may get an answer on this in the form of Scarlett having Rebecca and not knowing who got her pregnant.
@Light:

It's probably like waking up from a dream and not remembering parts clearly. You're so close to remembering, but it's somehow to abstract for you to shape it.
That's probably how Usopp feels about EL. He went there, burned the flag, but can't remember why exactly they were there.
I wonder how the Strawhats' memories are doing gymnastics to justify why they went to Enies Lobby at all.
