Mine is Sanji the dude is a complete misandrist plan and simple. He's willing to completely fuck up male opponents but he would rather die than to ever hit a female opponent and not to mention he put the crew in danger by getting those nosebleeds in fishman island. Fuck him and his white knighting I hope a female antagonist kills him so it will teach the kids especially boys that white knighting is not cool.
Least Favorite One Piece Character

-
Saint Charloss. I was so happy when Luffy punched him in the face.
Also, I hate Sanji for the same reasons and more.
-
Robin and Monet. Both are very dull characters that have no good qualities. Robin is the only SH I don't like, but seems to be the most popular female character…

I kind of feel the same way about Chopper but i don't hate or dislike him. Im completely indifferent towards him i could care less what happens to him. I believe the only reason Chopper even exists is to sell merchandise and nothing more.

He is for the comedy. Just like Usopp and Brook and many other characters. I personally enjoy Chopper more than 95% of the characters, but I also like comedy more than any other genre. I think you could say the merchandising ing about most characters, but the fact is that Oda has created a wide variety of characters, and some of them just happen to fit in certain stereotypical shonen categories.
-
Brook!!! & Zoro , Perona

Did you read the Drum Island arc? That flashback!
-
a tie between Zoro and Franky, both are boring, shallow and uninteresting. Franky is more annoying and one-note than ever after the timeskip and Zoro is just dull. outside the crew, Law is pretty shitty but everyone knows that.
-
I never disliked any characters until Foxy and his crew came along; then they became easier to spot… such as Wanze and the Celestial Dragons.
And I think most of us agree by now that the filler kids can be hella annoying.
-
Robin is the only SH I don't like, but seems to be the most popular female character…
No, it's Nami.
My least favorite character Robin too. -
Well… while I don't outright hate any characters, I have to say that out of the important characters, Blackbeard is my least favorite one. Also, I'm not especially fond of Kinemon and Law, so I hope that they don't permanentely join the Strawhats.
-
Did you read the Drum Island arc? That flashback!
yeah I did theres nothing to him after that arc.
-
Spandam, Foxy and Miss Merry Christmas. Uh, those three really annoy me.
-
And I think most of us agree by now that the filler kids can be hella annoying.
That reminds me of the pirates groveling over Whitebeard every time he was attacked during the Marineford fight.
It was annoying enough in the manga then the anime milked the hell out of it. The arc would be easily re-watchable if not for them. "Oyaji!" "Oyaji!" "Oyaji!"
-
Well I hate Akainu and Blackbeard, but in a good way. Someone I just dislike outright has got to be Apoo, he just sends me weird vibes. Although I do admit, we haven't seen that much of him.
My least favorite SH is Chopper, but based on design post TS Franky is a let down, though he's growing on me. I didn't realize so many people dislike Robin though, she's my favorite.
-
My least favourite character is Blackbeard. Just do not like him.

Considering the Original Poster's avatar, this is pretty funny.
-
My least favourite will definetely be usopp. Just hate that guy always wining.
-
When it comes to SH's crew it's probably Brook, i don't like his design, his personality, his jokes (god i hate his jokes…), Maybe the only interesting thing is his fighting style? I'm still waiting to see how much he become stronger.
And Franky honestly, his design after time skip throw me off, but as off right now I like him, he is probably one of my favorite character, with a very interesting dream.
And overall I don't like baggy whatsoever, I never liked him at all...

His fighting style is actually the least interesting thing about him. Brooks design is fantastic, along with Moria and Perona. He's a 2 meter tall music playing skeleton with an Afro, with gentlemanly clothes pre-timeskip, and a bright colourful clothing post-timeskip.
" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">
And check Shadowgreeds avatar. Don't you remember that scene?
Maybe Brook should be the next champion of the character tournament. -

Just to cairify, do you mean winning or whining.
If whining, well anime makes it worse….far far worse. I hate the anime -__-
In manga its about when he's in a situation where he knows he's over his head, the opponents are just that much stronger than him.
Frankly, he has used the "I got xyz illness" or "my xyz disease is acting up" far less then he did pre-time skip. Its been -what 1 or 2 times? If its winning... why you got a problem with that
Usopp as actually my favorite, even though (yes I admit it) the whining IS annoying. I like him because he's quite similar to the underdog of the team (if anyone on the crew could actually be called that) He doesn't have any DF abilities, nor does he have much training in fighting skills like Zoro & Sanji do.
Actually he went to sea without any combat training and didn't get any training until he met Heracles in the timeskip. I do not count him teaching himself how to shoot as real combat training because he shot at inanimate stuff and maybe animals that posed no threat. Heck, in the beginning even Nami had more combat skills and experience than Usopp! ( I miss her using a quarterstaff to beat people up!)
So yeah, before timeskip Usopp was the weakest in combat and he knew it. He was a village boy that left to go adventuring but hasn't gotten the mentor yet to teach him the fighting skills he needed. He learned as he went on until he finally was able to get a mentor that helped him increase his abilities and skills.
Speaking of pre-timeskip, Nami was my least liked SHs, mainly due to her money-grubbing ways . While she still loves money, its not as pronounced as it was before. Now its Sanji. ITs not a hatred of Sanji. ITs simply if I ranked the SHs from most to least liked, Usopp is in the lead as most fave and Sanji is at back of the line. The rest seem to group together and refuse to line up lol
AS for why Sanji is in last? Well others have already covered it. He takes 'chivalry' too far that as a woman if I was in the OP-verse I'd likely slap him. AS shown in FI Sanji's actions could be used against him (IF the opponent wasn't an idiot) I mean the fishman was able to see Sanji get distracted and used it by deciding to attack Nami (they were idiots so it failed). But they wouldn't have targeted Nami if Sanji wasn't overreacting

Shirahoshi. By about a million points, Shirahoshi.
Moe is the bane of my soul.

Whats Moe and I found Shirahoshi to be a likable character.

I am really surprised members of the straw hat crew are being mentioned. It seems characters that are supposed to be likable affect people more greatly than supposedly "hateable" characters. I guess it also makes sense considering they get so much screen time and we can judge these characters back to front.
But seriously, would you rather be friends with St. Charlos or Spandom over Nami or Chopper ect?
-
If you aren't saying Caribou, you're doing something wrong.
-
Main characters:
Nami:Too hot tempered and loves money too much.
Sanji:Same reason as the op.Others:
Kuzan:A pure hypocrite with personality problems .Couldn't make up his mind on his sense of justice(sometimes it's absolute sometimes it's lazy)
Hancock:The most superficial character ever
Shirahoshi: annoying cry baby
hody jones: Too weak to deserve to be the main villain of an entire post time skip arc. Also hate is very good in a manga but when it turns into stupidity not so much.
Foxy:This character was created to be hated.
Wiper the shandia:that character really pissed me off when he wanted to fight luffy and the mugiwaras at all cost instead of focusing all his energy on enel and his warriors.–- Update From New Post Merge ---
If you aren't saying Caribou, you're doing somethign wrong.
Caribou is funny to a certain extent
-
Hey…! Kuzan is cool man. canned laughter
-
But seriously, would you rather be friends with St. Charlos or Spandom over Nami or Chopper ect?
I don't think that really factors into liking or hating a character. Spandam was at least funny and St. Charlos is good to hate. The only emotion Chopper gets out of me is annoyance.
That said I agree about Kuzan. He killed Saul and still acts like he's the good guy among the admirals.
-

Wanted to piggyback on Sanji since he's my least favorite Strawhat. I don't mind the chivalry, but what I don't like is he would rather be killed by a woman than protect the Strawhats. Honestly, he was lucky that he wasn't lying to Violet because she would've mopped the floor with Sanji's noseblood. The main problem I have with him though is how he treats the guys like shit while he pampers Nami and Robin. If it wasn't for Luffy and Zoro (during the Pre-TS), there's a 70% chance that everyone else would've been dead by now (the 30% survival rate depending on Sanji, Robin, Franky, and perhaps Chopper).
Outside of the SHs, least favorite is goddamn Tashigi. She was SOOOOO FUCKING ANNOYING when she was in the sword shop with Zoro in Loguetown, saying that he didn't deserve Kuina's precious (and beautiful btw) Wado Ichimonji. I'm honestly surprised that Oda made Zoro ignore and shrug her off. I was waiting for Zoro (with Chris Sabat's manly voice) to tell her off real good. God, her fucking whining has made me want to throw my laptop down on the ground and break my patio glass windows. I mean, if you want to be better than Zoro, then go and fucking practice then and don't come out until you break your glasses instead of relying on Smoker's lung cancer having ass 95% of the time. I was glad to see Law serve her on an operating table (well, in his case, his "Room").
And wanted to defend my fave SH, Robin. Of course, she's dull and boring because her character is mature and reserved (not to mention, she watched her entire village, best friend, and mother get killed as an 8 year old child). She's the third oldest in the group (presently 30) while 2/3rds of the crew are still young adults ranging from 17-21 (Nami, Sanji, Zoro, Usopp, Chopper, and Luffy). I'm their age and as a 19 year old, when I'm around people my age, we goof off, joke around, and aren't serious most of the time. She's not going to act like them because that's not her personality (and as far as I recalled, I don't see most middle-aged woman acting like that and if they did, they won't be commended for their immaturity). Oda labeled her as the "mother" of the group. Would any of the people that don't like Robin's dull personality want to see their mothers acting goofy and ridiculous with Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper?
I feel like most of the people on here rely on the entertainment aspect of One Piece too much and use that to decide label a character lame and boring instead of actually noting the reasons why they're the way they are. As well as with Brooke, if I was by myself for over 50 years, I would be cracking jokes left and right with the first sign of lifeforms that I see.
-
Well I don't hate any character in particular (at least I can't remember anyone right now), but sometimes I really dislike how characters are interpreted.
First one is Shirahoshi. Particulary her not telling about Hody. Now I guess it can somehow be excused because she was so young when that happened and lived the next ten years in complete isolation of the world but… seriously Jinbe! "You did nothing wrong" yes she fucking did! Someone could've at least explained why it was stupid not to tell about your mother's murderer instead of praising her "courage" and "innocence"! Every single person killed by Hody after that was her fault! It just pisses me off how easily everyone forgave her! :getlost:
Another character is Robin. Sorry but I still think that sacrificing the world peace for your friends would be pretty damn selfish thing to do of anyone. And no, I'm not gonna ruin this thread by arguing about it for no end. I think I already have done it somewhere in the Strawhat thread, look for there.
Actually now that I think about it, the civilians sometimes piss me off just because they act so… unrealistically. Like the folks on Fishman Island! Because it's totally realistic that children are more afraid of not being respectful enough for pirates than they are of dying! :getlost: I think that SHs would forgive you for valuing your lives brats! Seriously, that minister should have just told his soldiers to crab the kids and take them by force or something!
PS. Oh yeah and Sanji! I don't hate him but his perverted act have become really pathetic lately! Nosebleed over a kiss comes to mind…
-
Strawhats: Zoro
He's WAAAY too arrogant and cocky for my tastes. Especially during skypeia Arc.
Although he has been somewhat better since the timeskip, but even then, his "cool" moments just seem too forced to me. sometimes, I just wish he'd be quiet during his fights instead of blurting out cocky and sometimes dickish remarks every five minutes.
Then again, maybe my hate also stems from Zoro's fleet of fanboys rushing to protect and defend their Zoro-sama at all costs. But like I've said, he has been somewhat better after the TS. Especially in Dressrosa Arc. Been really liking him in Dressrosa so far.
Other: Wanze "SA-SA-SAAAAAAA!!!!"
and Foxy. (Or as my friend calls him, "Cosmo Kramer, minus the humour" )
-
I don't like blackbeard.
-
-
Why hes the best villan in one piece.
I'm going to say that he the best villain amongst pirates and leave it at that.
Now, the least favorite character in One Piece beyond characters that I think were written to be hated, like Spandam and Tenryubito?
It's difficult, but… I will have to go with Whitebeard.
Why?
Because of the "One Piece exists" line.
-
You dislike Whitebeard because of that? Could you give your full opinion on it, please?
-
Sanji, mostly because he would place a woman before his crew. His whole personality is annoying though.
Other than him, definitely Spandam.
-

Yeah he takes chivalry the extreme I don't know why luffy would have someone thats so disloyal join his crew.
-
@Devil:
You dislike Whitebeard because of that? Could you give your full opinion on it, please?
Well, I suppose the full explenation is in order.
It looks like that: I get the entire "We need to save Ace because he is a family" thing. I don't moraly approve of it, because he is murdering a lot of people who are just doing their job to do that, but I get it. When he stayed behind at Marineford to creat an oppurtunity for pirates to escape, I got that too.
However, that last bit, the "One Piece is real" speech, crosses the line, because of the simply thing: It's petty. Not only that, it's stupid.
He does realize the importance of his own death, and he himself said that he wouldn't saw a bright future for his sons if it occured. But after he knows he is going to die, he deliberatly makes the situation WORSE. And for what? Just to spite WG? He clearly states he has no interest in One Piece or similar thing, but at the same time he sends hundreds of pirates to sea to get it. Pirates that will, among other things, attack islands he no longer can protect. Pirates that will pillage innocent villages. Pirates that will try to destroy what remains of his crew, probably.
And we cannot say that he doesn't know the conseqeunces of what he is saying either, because of two things:
A) He protected Fishman Island from the very same pirates that Rogers words has sent out to sea.
B) The man who killed him, and a member of his crew, his nakama, did that just to get enough power to seize that damn treasure.
So yeah, I don't think very highly of him after that. And honestly, he was kind of being asshole to Jimbei, considering he stopped being Shichibukai just to help him and then Whitebeard says words that HE KNOWS will send hundreds upon hundreds of pirates on to the Fishman Island, the only way to the New World that pirates can use, which at the same time is no longer protected by him.
-
I would say the ''new'' Franky. He's just too much, I don't even know what to think about his different hairstyles, his transformations uhm there's just too much going on.. actually with all of them! I really miss franky when it was just him and his underwear, The handsome dressed brook with his violin, Chopper with his hat, Nami and her short hair.. well u get the point
-
The lack of Spandam on this thread deeply disturbs me
Also, I don't get how people could hate any member of the SH's more than every single other character ever in the series. (Except Sanji obviously lol)
-
I used to love Zoro but since I started reading forums I began to dislike him more and more. Mostly because of all the fanboys that enjoy sucking his dick. I know I shouldn't let forum posters ruin a character for me but every time he does something cool I think to myself, "ugh now everyone is going to say Zoro can fight evenly with an admiral." Or "now people are going to be saying Zoro is stronger than Luffy"

I find both Pagaya and Neptune's facial hair to be both disgusting and obnoxious. Can't stand looking at either of them.

Ignore them:
OT- i realy cant believe so many people hate Sanji… the dude is epic, and chivalrously perverted (and according to film Z- a bit of a Pedo).
no if i had to list my least fav character it would be.......(drumroll) Satori.
His laugh, everything about that fat dumpling bastard annoyed me (this is a good thing but that doesnt mean i dont hate him)
so i wonder how many people hate the incredibly awesome Buggy the Clown?
EDIT: does anybody remember that ugly as shit girl who was laughing "its their fault for being born poor, they should have chosen to be rich" when the grey terminal fire started? that character gets ALL my hatred. that is the first time i wanted to jump into my PC screen and PUNCH an anime character- a little 5-odd girl at that.
i forgot her till now but DAYUM was she an eyesore.

I remember that in the manga. It's not really her fault, though. It's more of her upbringing. In that scene, it's what her parents taught her, and I think you were supposed to find fault with that. Wait, are the celestial dragons ugly because of inbreeding?
I think we need to know that there are characters, that we're supposed to hate, like Spandam. -

terrible main character? he serves as a behind the scenes agent, and cook… every time the Strawhats get into something big he is the one to bail them out.... remember enies lobby? or how he was able to trick crocodile when the SH's were trapped in a cage flowing with water?
he is the guy to bail everyone out. and you can tell he loves his friends... look what he tried to do in Zoro's place back in thriller bark.
Sanji is awesome /THREAD
He's a badass cook who will kick ass and take names.
and how is buggy, the king of Being a jackass who does almost litertally nothing but slow the lot down awesome? but Sanji, the badass who kicks ass an d takes names not? where is the logic in that?
