That's their (Nami, Brook, Chopper and Usopp) running gag. Seriously dude.
Usopp left the weakling trio. See how fired up he is to take out Sugar.

I meant that the crew members who joined Blackbeard after impel down may have had Haki; none of his crewmembers beore then showed it against Ace. What I'm saying is, in so many years of pirating already if his crew didn't have Haki, it wouldn't be a guarantee that they would automatically get it.
I see what you're saying. But not only the SH's trained for two years. It is possible BB's crew trained in between the time we saw them at the Ace fight up until now. I'm not sayin that they're all beasts, just that Burgess probably has relatively strong haki.

:( I know that man. I just wish Brook wouldn't designate himself part of that group. Imo he's way stronger than that.

Luffy had an experienced teacher showing him from Day 1 of training how to control Haki. He did that non-stop for two years. I would argue that none of the Blackbeard pirates were that devoted in training Haki.
Honestly, IMO teach was weak when fighting Ace, but that's another discussion.
I don't teach was ever shown as caring if a member was weak look at the doctor and stronger. He goes off of fate. I'd also add based upon Whitebeards commanders strength does vary among that rank.
Since Blackbeard talked about Haki in ID, I'm pretty sure his commanders could have learned from him.
Teach was weak when he defeated Ace? This I have to hear.
Doc Q most likely has his own strengths, Burgess is primarily a physical fighter, to keep that kind of position as a yonko's commander you've gotta be a total beast.
Whitebeard's commanders vary in strength, yeah. But they're all still incredibly strong. Just because they aren't quite as strong as Marco doesn't make them weak.
Also BB is obsessed with power and conquering the world, he's going to make sure all his commanders are monsters. Whitebeard was all about having a family and the strongest among them became commanders, he didn't actively recruit people for their power like BB has.

I can't say they haven't trained or had experience. I just feel like blackbeards need for the darkness fruit negates his need for Haki and that mindset would affect his crew.
We're a decade on. Things that held true when the 3 were kids doesn't necessarily hold anymore.
Ace and Luffy both sailed the grand line and fought to gain strength.
We have no idea if Sabo has kept training.
I've seen people assuming Sabo will deck Burgess lol not just get the Mera 2x.
Well he seems to be in a rather high position in the revolutionary army, and he went through Bartho's barrier with ease, using CoA. He's strong, probably as strong as Ace would be right now. And Ace was WAY stronger than Burgess pre-time skip (Blackbeard himself said so).
Usopp left the weakling trio. See how fired up he is to take out Sugar.
He's fired up because he realized that SUGAR is just a little girl.
I can't say they haven't trained or had experience. I just feel like blackbeards need for the darkness fruit negates his need for Haki and that mindset would affect his crew.
Ah, I see. I'd be pretty disappointed if his crew had that kind of motivation.
He's fired up because he realized that SUGAR is just a little girl.
You could say that he's come to…
...Sabotage this tournament.
We (readers and caribou's crew, and even caribou himeslef) always thought that the grand mother confused Caribo with her grand children Gaburo the revolutionnary….
But here in the latest cover page we see that the grand mother was not deceived, which explains caribou's crew reactions.... And it made me laugh a little lmao .
So Caribou and Gaburu is the same person?

We dunno how high up he is in the revolutionary army.
Ivankov is in a high position in the revolutionary army, he wasn't exactly a tank. I doubt their ranks are based on strength anyway.
Again, there's no basis for him being as strong as Ace right now apart from contests between them a decade ago.

Burgess is probably closest to comparison as Jozu.
Although Teach talked of Haki I would contest he doesn't have it.
I think your basing Burgess strength level too much on his title. I think we could agree the he and Jozu should be below DoFla.
Look at blackbeards track records of fights after Ace.

Codename…Mr.Teur.
So Caribou and Gaburu is the same person?
No. But it looked like the old lady though so. Until this final vol. when we learn she knew Caribou wasn't his dead grandson all along.
Pekoms, maybe. He's such an impatient guy. I could see Sanji vs. Pekoms happening.
Tamago is a different story. Oda hasn't revealed his bounty and ability yet for some reason unlike Pekoms, which implies to me at least that he (Oda) is holding back Tamago for later.
LATER BEING NOW :ninja:
No. But it looked like the old lady though so. Until this final vol. when we learn she knew Caribou wasn't his dead grandson all along.
Thanks a lot. That was what I initially thought. It confused me that Coribou's shirt said "Gaburu" in the cover page, but I guess that irrelevant.

I seriously contest Teach not having Haki lol.
Doffy is definitely strong enough to be a yonko commander, I think a match between him and Jozu would be pretty even tbh.
It's not really a bad record. He stupidly lost to Magellan but then avenged that loss. He lost to a guy who took on all 3 admirals and smashed the future fleet admiral. Then he went onto become a yonko. It'a actually a pretty good record lol.

When did that happen?
Lol if Teach doesn't have Haki and solely relied on his darkness DF, then he'd be the trolliest Yonko yet.
He's fired up because he realized that SUGAR is just a little girl.
His worst enemy's ever since Loguetown…little girls
Errrr… I'm kinda of slowpoke but, the reason why the toys and the humans can't stay together after the curfew is because they become "humans" for a while when Sugar is sleeping?
just noticed 70 pages in 1-2 days, thats really quick, and ive read all of that :O, I need more job here, this is retarded
When did that happen?
WB smashed Sakazuki into like a million pieces.
Did you read that as fighting a guy who took on all 3 admirals [WB] and smashed the future fleet admiral [BB]?
I meant WB for both things.
lol big mom's ship is nothing compare to sunny. yes its big. and it sings+alive but very bad aiming skill lol. if sunny would actually fought back combine with usopp sniping skill. that huge ship will sink in seconds. how can you dodge a huge+strong+shock wave shot from gaon cannon lol

Teach used no Haki at all during Marineford.
DofFla dominated Jozubat Marineford.
We don't know who all were involved in the Magellan beating.
He lost to a nearly dead Whitebeard, inside of his darkness vortex. He also only beat him with his entire crew. He also took a beating from Sengoku. Got put in his place by shanks and ran from an encounter with only Akainu and some marines days later with 2 DF's.

Top of the page, middle panel. I see a barrier clearly, and Sabo's hand going through it. What else could that thing be?
i wish i am one of those dwarves who stands underneath robin lol. mmmmm i see heaven!!!!
I've read the chapter about 30 times… Each time I re-read it makes me all the happier.
This chapter gives off the same level of epic-things-a-coming-foreshadowing that the chapters where Garp and Coby showed up did...
I CAN'T WAIT!

He caught him in his strings...it's hardly dominating.
Magellan was still beaten. I seriously doubt Teach didn't take part.
A nearly dead Whitebeard beat the future fleet admiral, that's not a disparaging loss by any means. He got hit by one attack by Sengoku and got right back up lol, talk about exaggeration.
He already had what he came for, to kill WB and to gain his Gura Gura no Mi powers, why would he risk that in a battle with a fresh yonko who gave him the chance to walk away?
Sakazuki demolished pretty much everyone he encountered at Marineford except WB. Taking on multiple opponents and only being stopped by another yonko. Avoiding a fight with him was wise.
Oh yeah, and then he conquered a vast portion of the New World, made out to be hell on earth, within 2 years and became a yonko. Kinda impressive.
how can you dodge a huge+strong+shock wave shot from gaon cannon lol
You don't that's the thing. You just build yourself a singing ship and start praying it misses. lol her ship is like a big target.
OMG!! That was completely unexpected. I mean, how did Ace survive? I'm so happy for Luffy that he found his brother again and for Ace to get his fruit back. I don't know how he did it, but it will be explained in the next chapters somehow, i guess.
So Ace faked his death to become a revolutionary, that is awesome!

Saying he smashed Sakazuki into a million pieces is been very generous to WB, his attack really didn't do that much damage to Sakazuki.

Trolling at it's finest. Well played Sir.

Trying too hard. 2/10
@kuma:

Not really. He left him to die in a chasm. Sakazuki managed to melt his way out but he still took a while to recover.

I'd give him a 4/10 just for the effort.
It could just be that this next set of arcs is going to be one long sequence of events that Sabo and Koala get wrapped up in. Like Kinemon and Momo.
It looks like that'll probably be the case: Punk Hazard immediately heads to Dressrosa, that will (possibly) immediately tie to Zou, then Wanokuni, that's already not-really-subtly connected with Kaidou (something we are also already doing in the current arc, drawing connections with Kaidou), and seeing as Big Mom entered the fray, and Kidd's alliance is most likely going after her. . .yeah. It looks like Oda wants to kill 345 birds with a single stone. And Sabo, Koala and co. might be appearing all throughout these endeavors, just like Momo, Kinemon and Law.
Suddenly, I miss some some Foxy, or some Flying Fish Riders. . .a small, fun arc with its own theme and setting that gives us some breathing room amidst all these events that we're about to witness.
I hope the later part will have some adventuring that's unconnected from any big name. Elbaf, maybe?
- Why would he need to and 2) How would we know? He had his yami yami no mi powers to negate DF powers and pre-timeskip there was no physical signs for haki usage apart from striking logias….He fought none at marineford.
He caught him in his strings...it's hardly dominating.

To me controlling a man as a puppet is being dominated especially making him attacks his own men.
When he was being attacked by Whitebeard, or Sengoku would have been a need for Haki. How we would know most likely someone mentioning it. Concrete evidence I can't give besides how he took the damage.
Take a look back how much damage Whitebeard had, he encountered teach after taking blows from Sakazuki.
If Teach was strong enough to take on Whitbeard he should have taken on Sakazuki with his whole crew, instead of leaving behind his bait bonney and a ship he wanted.
Not really. He left him to die in a chasm. Sakazuki managed to melt his way out but he still took a while to recover.
Not really other than a bit of blood running down his face you wouldn't think he'd just been left to die, and seen how he caught up with luffy and Jinbei it didn't take him that long to recover.

It's a weird ability he never saw coming cause he was distracted. I'd be interested to see Doffy Vs. Jozu in a fair fight.
But again, there's no visible sign for Haki pre-timeskip, he might have been using it all along.
Yeah, and he also demolished Sakazuki himself, after taking blows from Sakazuki.
He spent decades on a ship trying to find the perfect DF, this is his master plan that's taken years to come to fruition. Why risk that in an unnecessary fight with an admiral? That makes no sense whatsoever.

Did he not catch up with Luffy and Jinbei after the whole series of events between BB and WB? That's a while.

You mean it was great that it ended? Yeah, agree! Let's rejoice and dance around the bonfire!
How did I miss this beutiful image.

It doesn't look like that to me. However, you see the black hand, don't you?
How did I miss this beutiful image.
It's a huge and fast topic, man. And a beautiful one at that :D The pages just keep whizzing by and the place is filled with airs of happiness and triumph for many fans. People are just like, mostly agreeing with each other and high-fiving and just generally drinking from cups of brotherhood and shit. From what I've read, anyway (like 40 pages).
It doesn't look like that to me. However, you see the black hand, don't you?
Gloves and a coat plus plot shadowing. It's not Haki. Why would Barto has his barrier up anyways? He just got shoved aside.
It doesn't look like that to me. However, you see the black hand, don't you?
Dont you think Oda would of made it more clear tho? I'm not saying HE DIDNT USE IT, but it's not sure at all, and like others said earlier, if sabo would of passed threw barto's barrier, barto would of commented about it.
