Still trying to hold out 'til the series is fully translated and marathon the last fifty. So hard.
Sket Dance.

Loved the little arc that led to Onihime deciding on her dream profession.
I feel like Shinohara is at his best with such casual, everyday, but nonetheles impactful moments.
-
These two chapters–-most I've laughed from a Sket chapter in a looooong time.
-
Chapter 261 is up!
-
262 is out: http://trinitybakuma.com/releases/sket-dance-chapter-262/
Well that's a weird-ass way to have time travel. xD
Maybe this will eventually lead to the past stuff with the chairman guy's predecessor to the Sket Dan.
-
I love the time-travel fan!
-
Oh, ahahahahaha.
The new one-shot "Devil Point" by Shinohara was very Sket Dance with its constant boke-tsukkomi. -
Oh, ahahahahaha.
The new one-shot "Devil Point" by Shinohara was very Sket Dance with its constant boke-tsukkomi.When I was reading it and got halfway through I thought no, seriously is that what he does now?
! When he summoned the demon and it turned out to be a pretty girl, it felt like this was the beginning of some terrible harem manga. Threw me a bit for a loop but it all turned out pretty typical for him.
It was a fun one-shot but I don't know how I would feel about this turning into a series. I kind of want him to do something that gets away from school entirely.
Even the fantastical elements of this aren't enough for me to consider this to be different enough from Sket Dance which actually had its own fair share of very fantastical elements. That said who am I kidding I would still read it whatever it is he does next even if its this. -
Lol the main character went Licenceless Rider on that dragon.
I imagine this would probably sell fairly well, since it didn't feel too generic or anything. I do wonder how a fantasy-comedy from Shinohara would turn out, though. Mostly episodic like Sket Dance?

Sooo… Trinity Bakuma is quitting the scanlating business: http://trinitybakuma.com
With there being just a few chapters of Sket Dance left, I hope some other group can pick it up and finish the series with similar quality.
-
i really hope someone does pick this up. Can't even remember the last sket dance chapter now and i know we didn't have long to go
-
The two last scanlated chapters from TrinityBakuma:

http://www.batoto.net/read/_/252633/sket-dance_v30_ch264_by_trinity-bakumaI hope someone picks it up soon, it only has a few chapters left, but i fear there will be a drop in quality, TrinityBakuma did a really good job, both with the scans and the translations.
EDIT: It seems someone already picked it up, good for us.

I'm glad that someone picked it up, it's so close to the end after all.
-
Look at that, some great character development with such a simple line.

-
And chapter 266 was a blast.
-
270 just got scanlated
-
271 was outright hilarious. :P Way to go Dante.
-
How is the Anime adaptation of this series? I'm thinking of picking up this series, well I read a few chapters a long time ago, but I feel like starting it up again and was wondering if the Anime is worth watching or strictly stick to the manga?
-
The anime is quite good. It seems average at first (although the manga may be like that as well) but around episode 20 it becomes really good
-
Two more chapters. Loved Himekoi.
-
The final arc has started, the final battle of the Sket Dan has begun!

-
And so, the Sket Dan's last job begins now! Damn this is gonna be so satisfying, as unrealistic and predictable as it is.
-
I can't wait. Sket dance is such a good series and we are finally getting to the end of it. I kinda wish viz would've published it, it's not nearly as hard to understand over here as gintama was and they published that for 23 volumes
-
Part 2 of the final dance, the stage, the quest, the maze and the adventure are set!
-
Alright, so I caught up and it's pretty great (they're up to part 4 now, btw). One thing that's been bugging me, though:
Waaaaay back in the Sket-dan vs. student council arc, Agata said something like "you saved your friends, but in reality, they were the ones that saved yoooou!!!".
Alright, Bossun got Switch out of his house and got Himeko to stop isolating herself from everyone around her. Great! But how did they save him?
Like, he was over his adoption angst and dead parents by the time he met them. And they helped him out of some sticky situations (power of friendship yaaaaay), but what big pitfall in his life did they drag him out of like he did them? (Maybe I just missed it/forgot since I plowed through this manga pretty fast. I dunno.)
And then there's the part where he's all like "I'm not alone!!!"… after finding out that Tsubaki is his brother. He already had his bros Himeko and Switch - how was he alone when he had them? What are they, chopped liver? I dunno, it just doesn't sit well with me.
(I really like how Shinohara did the twin thing, though.)
-
I'm not crying you bastards!!
2 more chapters on Batoto.
-
It's almost time! How many chapter are left? 2?
-
http://bato.to/read/_/304794/sket-dance_v32_ch286_by_soldier-hero
Now it's 2 more chapters to go :')
-
Man, I really can't wait to read those last two chapters.
-
Damnit sket dance, making me cry 3 chapters in a row, I hate you.
-
1 chapter left! Come on let's do this
-
I had really hoped that the last two chapters would have been uploaded together but no, they've got to make me wait for the last one. Come on!
-
I just looked through the raw again and was thinking "pshaaa, how boring it looks"
I'll cry like a man giving birth when I read it.
-
And it's over.
Nice ending, not as emotive as I hoped.
-
Dammit I was hoping for something more emotional, then Bossun had to keep up the dense gag. :(
So what came about from that whole chairman thing? I thought there was going to be some kind of parallel drawn at the end, but Bossun goes off biking with Ryan.
-
Ending could have been way better. Bossun's density at the end was fucking annoying and ending the series with gross hulky adult Bossun in America is pretty ugh. End it with the trio as adults, the heart of the story ffs
-
I loved the ending. Not just this chapter but the way the author wrapped up his story in the last few volumes.
-
The wrap up to everything, except the romantic tension of Bossun and Himeko, was handled perfectly, as my previous post indicate, manly and many tears were sheed. But this one was… meh. Ended in a weak chapter.
-
An epilogue (or at least a few extra pages) would've been nice. I'd like to have seen how everyone else was doing.
And yeah, the oblivious-to-romance gag was dumb and out-of-place. The least Bossun could've done was explain how he didn't feel the same way like he did to Saaya.
-
Damnit, I wanted my conclusion to Bossun/Himeko.
Other than that I can't say anything else than what a great ride it's been and what a perfect ending that was. I dunno how many people knew about the Sket-Dan when I opened this topic, but I sure hope a lot more do now.
