Don´t feel bad KaiPirinha. I happen to be exactly 1,75m as well. And I actually feel I´m too tall.
Well, I'm 1,68m
So ichyruu wasn't trying to wn?
That part is a bit confusing.
Not letting ichryuu get eaten was a nice touch, even if it was predictable.

No, he was trying not to kill Midora, which made him weaker. Thought the activation of minority world suggests otherwise. Who knows…
So Uumen is WOMAN?
Not where I'm from. If that's about 5' 10" then it's a little below average. Personally, I tend to hang around taller people (because I play basketball) so it's fairly short from my perspective. I'm Six feet and two inches tall and feel pretty short.
Average heigh per country: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_height#Average_height_around_the_world
In the US, around 1,75 is average (depends sligthly on the age and race).
Reread the whole arc. I still think the fights are all 'hah take this. No, take THIS! Aha but do you have THIS!?' variety, but the story, the flashbacks and the ending is good, man. Really really good. I adore shima's writing. For something so silly as toriko his narration for the flashback is great. Gotta admit I feel kinda weepy reading through it.
Just noticed midora's aura has the same scars as him. Cool stuff.
! And yay. No more toriigoozann. Show us whats going on on the bishokukai side, komatsu.
It's pretty bad that Coco hasn't been seen in such a long time, and people are so curious about what happened to him, that now, people are assuming he has become a part of NEO OR that he is (eviL) Acacia himself.

Well, he joining NEO is not that farfetched. Coco aims for Acacia's drink, ATOM, and it happens Joa has info about it, not to mention Kousairou, one of the 0 Biotope who betrayed the IGO, knows its exact location.

I'm certain we'll find out next chapter. What left is there to cover??
What left is there to cover??
What Komatsu did Toriko and address the talk Ichiryuu and Kuriboh had at the 0 Biotope.
What Komatsu did Toriko and address the talk Ichiryuu and Kuriboh had at the 0 Biotope.
Well we already know the answer to the bold. He used the Revitalizing Kitchen Knife technique on him.
I absoutely loved this one, let's see what's next. I'm eager to watch in this second half of the series the return of food procuring and exploration arcs, after being through all this fighting.
And R.I.P. Ichiryuu, he was a great man.
Why does everyone believe that Komatsu uses the italizing Kitchen Knife technique an Toriko? Did I skip something?
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Nevermind, just checked it myself. And yes, it probably was that technique
I'm certain we'll find out next chapter. What left is there to cover??
What happened to the 0th Biotope members?
What happened to the Bishokukai that were at the fest & fought against the 0th Biotope?
What happened to a lot of the chefs (Brunch, Livebearer, Yuda, Chiru)?
What happened to all the other characters that were at the fest (Zebra, Sunny, Rin, Gourmet Knights, Gourmet Mafia, Melk II)?
WHAT HAPPENED TO ZONGE?
So there's actually quite a lot he has to show us of the aftermath, although what happened to Coco should soon be revealed.
Awesome chapter… Can't wait to see what goes down next. Midora's a bit more noble than I thought he would be in regards to his big bro and I like that. I'm dying to find out to find out about the 3 other Heavenly Kings though.... They really left us on a cliffhanger with them.
I kind of hope that Buranchi teams up with the kings to rescue Komatsu. They will probably need someone with food luck to go deep into the Gourmet World.

I was thinking he would. He seemed like a pretty important new character, and he certainly can hold his own.
holy shit when the nitro split his head that's so creepily awesome I adore it
oh yeah and the rest was alright to, but DAMN that page 2
Now we know the GT Robos are based on the Blue Nitro, because of the splitting the head sideways.

Only Buranchi? To me it sounds a bunch of chefs will take part on Komatsu's rescue. I don't think guys like Livebearer, Wabutora, Tom, etc will stay idly when a chef they respect so much just got kidnapped.

hm, but most of the chefs are pretty weak, Livebearer for example would get utterly destroyed. Remember how all these nitros completely whooped the floor with all the cooks? Tairan and Co. have some strength, but they don't seem to be gourmet world material. People like Toriko and Zebra are, the latter even had to more or less save the chefs
The food shortage though.

Livebearer himself, with several of other chefs on the top 30, was mentioned by Joejoe as chefs who are troublesome to deal with.

Hahaha I love how Coco is just forgotten.
Funny how Chiyo turned all cute and normal all of a sudden…

I have mixed feelings about her heel/face turn.
I miss the bat shit insane faces she used to make. I don't like mellow Chiyo-baa :(
I wonder why the Bishokukai didn't bring her with them?

She was half dead next to Jirou and Setsunoo.

Yeah…. Kinda seems like after all she did, she'd be the last person they'd wanna just randomly forgive.
Maybe the Bishokukai didn't take her back is because she lost? Survival of the fittest kinda dealio?

Tommyrod, Barrygamon, and Bogie Woods all lost in the Ice Hell arc but were not abandoned.

This is true… I retract my previous statement.
Thinking about the Acacia subject some more, it might be possible that he has some sort of dark responsibility thing going on. His end game goal might be to revert humanity back to an era before gourmet (in the toriko sense) ingredients were a thing. He seems like the type of guy that would carry a considerable amount of guilt for plunging the world into a giant world war off of his discoveries. Maybe there's some sort of ultimate device/power in the final land that when activated would annihilate all gourmet cells on the earth? Acacia would effectively depower the entire gourmet world (making it habitable), and remove the main factor that's been a cause of war in the human world.
I believe any chef that got a proper introduction (interacting with Komatsu, showing some prowess, Full Course being shown…) will play an important part in the next arc.
Wait, so it wasn't 25 billion killed, but affected?
That totally changes Midora's villaniousness. I mean, he's evil as fuck, but not Hitler genocidical villain level. . .yet?
Although I still have trouble with the "timing" of the spice meteor. . .
It was part of his plans? It was random? He did just because? It had to be done at THAT moment? It's something he had in mind?
It's like. . .ok, and now, world destruction. There you go. Done. What else we have on the list? Oh, going to Disneyworld. Yay! Oops, just destroyed it, damn. . .I knew that list's order was totally backwards!

The implications are Ichiryuu would have destroyed the spice alone. You know, Minority World and everything, the reverse of creating appetite energy is disintegrating it whole. Hence why he told Mansam that if by some slim chance something were to happen to him Human World would be in danger.
I really doubt they can confirm 25 billion deaths within 1-2 days… So those 25 billions are affected indeed, but some hundreds or thousand of millions definitely died, being on the epicentre of the meteor impacts

Jerryboy was out doing PR and got the Death Toll.
Well I liked the new development on Midora, he is now a more interesting characther to me.
Though was Ichiriyou trying to win or not? got confused there.

The chapter stated that the amount of deaths was kept to a minimum.

He was trying to win but, since it was agaisnt Midora, he probably couldn't fight his very hardest.

Thanks 16 characthers.
Where did you get that idea from? He isn´t
In the chinese version of the chapter the name of Uumen were written in white romainc characters and it was WOMAN.
@FFA: I didn´t said anything about Jerry. Nor was his death confirmed.
Pretty sure FFA was joking and making fun of the fact that the Bishokukai even have a PR (public relations) position. So as the PR guy, he would have figured out the death toll and spread the word, for PR sake. (At least I hope he's joking. Sometimes I honestly can't tell).
And yes I did skim the actual translation and missed that it just said affected and not killed too. I wouldn't be surprised or find it impossible to find out 25 billion died and that the IGO found out about it in 1-2 days, but yeah it's most likely just affected.

I'm still not quite 100% sure why Midora did it and why Ichiryuu knew he was going to do the attack, but Ichiryuu did know, and apparently set up a defensive net to help stop the Meteor Spice (which once again, would've been nice to be shown instead of just told in a narration bubble)

Well they gotta finish the Tournament, right? We know Komatsu wouldn't have been able to defeat Zaus, but now that the match won't happen we can finally see the chef's cooking skills

I said "any chef", but the big players will be those within the Top 30. Some got kidnapped, some showed their skills, some were labeled by the Bishokukai as "less than easy to kidnap", but all of them got a proper introduction. Then we have chefs below that Top 30 like Tsurara Mama who also proved they can and know how to fight.
I do hope the anime takes care of covering some cooking matches before Komatsu vs Zaus. Specially because it would do some good to them to add filler as not to catch up with the manga so far, and the events Shimabu skipped is something that seemingly most of us would´ve liked to see.
Wasn´t Jerry Branch´s duty Food Development tho? (vague memory of Public Relations being mentioned in the past)

Yeah looking at the archives, I forgot FFA just said he was PR because the term
Shokuzai Kaihatsu made no sense in the context of the story (literally means atonement development I think). My mistake
In case people haven't cleared it up, the 25 billion affected means like "lost their homes" or whatever. It's a term people use when talking about disasters. Like this somehow made their lives worse. And it was said by the omniscient narration, not some news network. You can take it as accurate.
@Galaxy:
Awesome, perfect place to add filler, in my opinion seeing how Mitsutoshi skipped these events…
I hope they add fillers to the fights as well and match some of the characters whose opponents weren´t set (I refuse to believe half of the Branch Chiefs remained on a terrace doing absolutely nothing)

Yeah man, for sure! Aimaru looked pretty much unscathed after defeating Jerry Boy, but the next time we see him he's all bloodied up. He and Limon must have squared up off panel and I'd love to see some of it.
