Quotes already have links built into them, its that little square right next to the user's bolded name. You click on that it'll take you to the original source thread.
People don't go around rampantly quoting and sigging things that much, and most of the time they throw a comment into the same thread along the lines of "Oh, that's great, I have to sig that!" So if you keep following a thread you're posting in anyway, you usually find out anyhow.
I don't think you need anything beyond that, unless you're so egotistical you just have to know when someone's talking about you. Really, if that's the case, there's a search feature, where you can hunt for your own name.

Sometime I just went to a thread I don't frequent, make a random comment, then the next day I completely forget about it, and only much later I figured out I missed the replies to my post and it has been a few pages too late to answer.
Or, the case like Naruto thread, GD thread or some popular threads. When I comment it at page 356, for example. When I come back it's already page 377. I just read the last page and missed the replies to my post.
