What is friendship to you?
Hmm. In a casual sense, it's just companionship and camaraderie. I have tons of "regular" friends that I enjoy talking to and sharing stories with. It's when you form a mutual bond of trust with someone and have a few areas of common ground. And then, a BEST friend or "true" friend, is when this goes beyond just a little bit of trust and a little bit of common ground…
You're willing to give whatever it takes to make that person happy and elevate them and see them succeed. You can be completely honest and open with them and say the mean things that they need to hear in order to grow and overcome problems. They're there for you whenever you need them and expect nothing in return, just your continued loyalty. You can stop talking for long periods of time and pick up a conversation from months ago.
And they can't be replaced.~
What is it in comparison to love?
Love… if we're talking about romantic love and not just love, romantic love is when you go just a bit further than true friendship and completely devote yourself to that person. All other females (or males) become non-existent and you can only see that one person. You feel everything ten times harder, both the good and the bad. It drives you to become even greater and attain new heights for that person. It's the ultimate form of empathy.
Whereas with friendship, and true friends, your destiny is not necessarily tied with that person. It can be closely tied but with love, your destinies are shared. You do a fusion dance, practically. >_>
When you find yourself in a new place, what's the first thought that comes to your mind?
Anxiousness. Unfamiliarity. And then gradual adaptation and acceptance. Perhaps even intrigue or excitement.
How do you personally decide if you're happy? Is it a matter of generally feeling "good" or "better", or is there some identifiable phenomenon that you can attribute directly to being happy?
You feel fluttery and warm! =D
You just want to hug someone.~
What makes a bond of friendship seem believable?
Actions.
How would you describe a bond of respect?
Mutual admiration for each others' personal traits, strengths and character. You generate a feeling of inspiration from each other and can drive one another to become better.
What is it that makes you fear, whether physically, mentally, or spiritually?
I feel anxious about how people see me and judge my character. I know that I'm not perfect… and perhaps even very, very imperfect. And it scares me to know what people really think. I also have a phobia of blood.
And I fear about the grand scheme of things. And I don't mean my life or the earth's destiny or whatever, I mean all of existence. I fear what the grand scheme of existence could potentially be.
If you took out sex and kissing from love, what would make it different from friendship (Don't have to answer this one.)
It's still a shared destiny and complete devotion. I don't need sex or kissing in order to give my heart to someone completely. In fact, I wouldn't hesitate to give it up in order to be with that person.
