Here's the english translated summary.
! - Color page is Joa/Frohze smiling.
- The tsunami created by Jirou is coming to the island. Joa jumps high and gives a cut to the tsunami with his knife. It's so powerful it splits the Tsunami in half and the water explodes.
- In that moment of distraction, Setsuno uses her knife again, changing the shape of the blade from serrated edge to more uniform. Setsuno launches a powerful cutting strike at Joa. (Note from Redon: Looks like a technique Zoro would use).
- Jirou does the same as his partner, a very strange glove claws out, then throws his punch in a bundle of energy with the head of a wolf or something, to the front.
- The combined attacks are about to strike Joa, until he shows his inner demon (looks like a stone Golem) and tanks both attacks, which creates a powerful explosion in the air. This surprises both Jirou and Setsuno who are astonished at Joa's overwhelming power. Then they talk, and the silhouette of a man with very long hair who resembles Sunny displays.
- At that time Starjuun appears riding on his dragon Braga, carrying an unconscious Komatsu in his arms.
- Seeing Komatsu, Joa gets excited, and demands Starjun to surrender the little chef to him. Starjun is obviously not going to agree with his demand, and gets ready to confront Joa.
! Starjin vs Joa? My respect for Starjin just went up.
! and hmmm dead Coco, wonder how that will turn out.
Would be kinda boring if that's the reason they go chasing after Center.
! My body is ready to see Starjun going all out.
Not happening XD. At this point I would trust more that Grinpatch killed Coco.
Guys, I also lowered my guard after seeing the fake spoilers got in all of the spoiler sites I usually browse.
But Shimabu. Won´t kill. Heavenly King Coco. Offscreen.
Specially aften an Offscreen battle with a character who has been hyped since his debut about 4 years ago.
! Don't need to mention this, but anyway. Jirou's technique uses condensed Appetite Energy.
There are only two so far or my internet is being shittier than usual?
! So happy to see she kept the jester outfit
Chinesee version's out:
! So now Toriko is KO and Starjuun is protecting Komatsu from Joa. Interesting twist.
Its like deja vu with fake spoiler, its like one piece in the marineford saga
! wow joa managed to dispel a combo tecnique of setsuno and jirou, well jirou is still in drunk mode, starjun protecting komatsu, will we get a rescue arc, cant wait
Keel's trans is out
! realize to keep Starjun relevant in this battle heavy manga his importance/strength would rise significantly, but no. 2? He's just below Midora in terms of strength?
! That's ugh…should've known what kind of story I'm getting into
! At first I thought Joahze meant he was the second strongest sous chef… But moments later I decided she must mean the second strongest on the Bishokukai.
! The second seems to be the case, but feels unlikely to me. Star would be stronger than Kuromado, Alfaro, Niceny, and any other GW elite character??
! When Grinpatch came to pick the GT Robo, Shigematsu said "I was expecting Tommy or Star, I´m surprised he came instead", and went on serious mode. I disregarded this fact, having in mind that Grinpatch is really lazy. But maybe he meant it on strenght wise, as in "why would they send Grinpatch for the mere task of recovering a GT Robo? either Star or Tommy would do."
! So, what if actually Grin is even stronger than Star?? I know it doesn´t looks like it, and Star has been way more hyped, but we know literally nothing about Grin, he´s a wild card. He even came back from his battle with Coco seemingly uninjured. And Coco is about as strong as Toriko.
Wait, Skadi, isn't Frohze female??
Chapters out at batoto.
Joahze is adorable.

My respect went up too. It'll be interesting rooting for him now.
I'm just dissapointed that Star is actually the second strongest Bishokukai member, if we can trust what Fhroze said. I had hopes for Alfaro, Kuromado, Dores and Niceny to play a bigger role in the future.
At this rate it's going to take at least 5 chapters or more before we find out what happened to Teppei/Teppei zombie/Teppei clone.
At this point I'm thinking that w/e Frohze is is the same thing that happened to Teppei and he is already dead.
@Pookiez: Frohze is female. Joahze? Who knows.
I'm glad Setsuno mentioned the long haired form of Frohze, that means when you fully utilize your gourmet cells, you'll basically enter in another form?
Excting chapter as always. Ok, that doesn't seem to be Frohze for real. But who is she? Setsuno said Frohze is dead, so…?
Anyway, Starjun is the second in terms of power...among who? The sous-chefs? Or the Bishokukai all together? So did he just played with Toriko (plus risking his life)? Because Toriko is clearly light-years away from people like Setsuno or Jirou, in terms of power.
Unless Midora is far far stronger than anyone else in Bishokukai (in numbers, if Midora is 1000 then Starjun is 100 and Kuromado, Niceny, Dores and Alfaro is 99).
Did I just read the lamer, more forced, ham fisted line in the history of manga?
"Will you give that chef to me, Bishokukai Sous Chef, BUT-ACTUALLY-NO.2-IN-TERMS-OF-POWER, Starjun?"
Seriously, who talks like that? Where did that come from? That was so sporadic.
Really, Shima, you could've found another way to tell the reader that Starjun is number 2 in the Bishokukai organization. That was so hilariously cheesy. . .

The problem is not the line, come on. If there is one is the fact itself. Shima must be accurate now about Starjun and his strength becausa I thought Alfaro, Dores, Kuromado and Niceny were stronger than him. Not a big issue, but I need an explanation for this.
It's ok for Starjun to be the 2nd strongest in Bishokukai, but it's not ok he had all those problems against Toriko unless he wasn't serious at all.
Don't we forget Starjun was searching for an ingredient but he can't remember which one. Maybe it's something linked to Acacia's full course.

No, I do think the way the line was delibered was super weird, in the middle of a question that had nothing to do with Starjun power level. It was exposition done wrong, I think.
I mean, shonen manga does tend to have unnecessary bits of exposition that sound weird or out of place, but it's the author's way of informing the reader of a fact. One Piece has some of those, of course. They're not the best invention ever, but we got used to it by now.
But I don't quite remember something as forced and hilariously out of place as this one. Why didn't Joa just go out of his way and tell Starjun's whole bio out of the blue?
"Bishokukai Sous Chef, BUT-ACTUALLY-NO.2-IN-TERMS-OF-POWER-WHO-REALLY-LIKES-TO-EAT-CHOCOLATE-YET-DISLIKES-SPIDERS-AND-LISTENS-TO-MOTORHEAD-ON-A-DAILY-BASIS-EXCEPT-THEIR-LAST-ALBUMS-WHICH-ARGUABLY-ARE-QUITE-A-BIT-LAME,…..................................................................Starjun?"
Don't know. Maybe it's just me, but I found that line extremely hilarious. It's like Shimabukuro suddenly realised that a Sous Chef that was almost killed by Toriko doesn't pose that much of a threat to a foe that's playing with Setsuno and Jirou, and he just thought "well, he'll be the second strongest from now on. Now, where do I put it so the reader knows and I can create some tension for their upcoming fight? Oh, here. That will work. Doesn't look forced at all. Cool".
It's ok for Starjun to be the 2nd strongest in Bishokukai, but it's not ok he had all those problems against Toriko unless he wasn't serious at all.
That I agree. It's OK for Toriko's archrival to be one of the strongest in the Torikoverse, but then how can he struggle so much for 5 or 6 chapters against Toriko, puking in the process enough blood to fill the entire Atlantic Ocean and having a hole carved in his chest the size of lake Michigan. Unless Toriko already became end-game level strong, or Shimabu just took that outta his ass.

That's impossible. Zebra is stronger than Toriko (no doubt about it) but he was stopped effortlessly by Teppei, stronger than Toriko too but not THAT strong.
Even before Bishokukai, Joa and Jirou's arrival there were several characters clearly stronger than Toriko: Setsuno, Zaus, Kuribou, Kousairou, Mansam, Zebra, maybe Buranchi and probably Coco and Sani too. Then the Bishokukai arrived with Starjun and probably Grinpatch (I'm continuing on listing characters stronger than Toriko), Chiyo for sure, then for NEO there was Shigematsu.
The only explanation that I could accept is that Starjun was only playing with Toriko, even if he was risking his life.
Not to fond that the second strongest is mr. bland personality.
You know just because he's second strongest doesn't mean he's end level strength. Maybe the difference between star and midora is ridiculous
Nice chapter. I dont like the completely over-the-top DBZ power levels, but still a good read and Joah/Frohze is just a great character.
But Starjun No2? That is just complete BS and directly contradicts everything we know so far about him. I agree here with some of the stuff said before by other posters.

^ I pretty much agree with everything you said.
Starjun was probably holding back a lot, which may be lame but is better than the alternative that Toriko is already stronger than everyone else in the Bishokukai. Toriko did mention that Starjun was too afraid to go all out, and this does fit in tune with the hype Toriko gave Starjun when he appeared at the Shokurin temple though. So it's not an asspull, it just makes Starjun vs. Toriko look worse.
It might turn out that she was referring to him being the second strongest Sous chef, or is referring to his potential.
Hopefully next week sorts this out.
Don`t know, but the last couple of chapters felt so damn short.
The chapter made it clear Starjun was holding back from the very beggining when fighting against Toriko. He had countless times to kill him in an instant, yet he wanted a fair fight that could entertain him. Toriko himself said Starjun wasn't fighting seriously with him.
And now we're going to see how much power Starjun was restraining. That he's the 2nd strongest hasn't caught me offguard, numerous hints suggested he was far more strong than what people would think at first, like when he appeared in Shokurin Temple commanding a GT ROBO designed after his boss Midora.
There you have it. Toriko never had a chance, this is the reality.
What the reason might be? Perhaps releasing his full power would put at heavy risk everything the Bishokukai is searching for?

Joahze is adorable.
And I suppose you didn't put a link there just to spite to me ? :(

So Niceny, Dores and Kuromado are now completely useless ? :/
I mean yeah we could have the cool characters who were bossing the Sous Chefs around be that but no, we have to give that distinction to the blandest character in this series ?

Oh joy.
This means the asshole is gonna have top tier final level plot-centric importance ? -_-

So it's not an asspull, it just makes Starjun vs. Toriko look worse.
How do you make a fight of which 50 % was standing around worse ?
I mean besides randomly backwards engineering entire years' worth of buildup of your central character's fighting abilities to introduce a random magic ball of magical ballness that eats shit as an arc climax ?
I think Starjun is Midora's grandson. And maybe Midora doesn't want to just give Starjun the highest position in his organization just because he's his grandson, but wants him to work to the top slowly ;)
Don't know you guys, but Starjun has been hyped like hell countless times, and him being confirmed the 2nd strongest in the Bishokukai not only is a good display of that hype, it speaks volumes about Midora and also tells us that ranks mean shit in a organization. So does that mean Kuromado and everybody in the Bishokukai that is above Starjun is completely useless now? Not at all, I don't know how can you make such farfetched interpretations.
And I don't find Starjun as a character bland at all, he's really interesting.

That or Starjun is like Garp. Doesn't want to have major responsibilities XD
He resembling Midora in apperance has been commented quite a few times.
Even while holding back, how the fuck does Toriko manage to hurt that much the 2nd strongest of the Bishokukai?
Even while holding back, how the fuck does Toriko manage to hurt that much the 2nd strongest of the Bishokukai?
Probably because he's the main character of the series, and has that "main character power", as I like to call it.
I think Starjun is technically quite bland, but I like him. He's sort of like the Trafalgar Law of Toriko, but with more potential for character development and interesting rape faces.
Even while holding back, how the fuck does Toriko manage to hurt that much the 2nd strongest of the Bishokukai?
Maybe that happened because Starjun was too careless. He was playing with Toriko risking his life in this game but he was in control until the Gourmet Cells' Demon came out. Starjun didn't forecast this and risked his life without realizing it.
The fact Starjun is the 2nd strongest in the Bishokukai doesn't mean the other elite guys are useless. In the Gourmet World there's a battle between these guys and 0th Biotope guys. So that's their importance, their meaning in the story.
Anyone noticed Toriko has been getting a lot of chapters with color pages lately?
Anyone noticed Toriko has been getting a lot of chapters with color pages lately?
The best of these last ones is the current with Joa colored
Anyone noticed Toriko has been getting a lot of chapters with color pages lately?
Probably to promote the movie(that didn't do very good in its opening weekend…).
I'm more satisfied by the fact Toriko's popularity is rising exponentially. And yes, Joa is fucking awesome, character design wise and everything about him.
And next week a clash between two powerhouses, can't wait to see Starjun's true strenght and the reason why he was holding back.
Yes, Joa is fu**ing awesome, I didn't expect this greatness for him/her.
And I too can't wait to know why Starjun was holding back.
To explain why it should't catch anyone offguard that Starjun is actually the 2nd strongest in the Bishokukai I'll just quote this guy from other forums who wrote a IMO very good assessment of Toriko vs Starjun.
And re-reading the Starjun-Toriko fight, Star while being beat on by Toriko and shedding quite some litres of blood was only just getting into gear towards the end. Its like his engine had only warmed up by that point. Even before Toriko lost his leg they were trading "images" of each other's defeat however the only one who basically regenerated his lifeforce by the second was Toriko via using Food Honour. Starjun didn't. Toriko got burned and burned and maimed and burned some more, always regenerating and consuming his huge storage of energy.
In the end Toriko lost his leg and from there it went completely downhill. Star had warmed up to the point where he was bringing up the big guns; his sword was nothing but a means to cover more distance in the first place. He attacked Toriko with Burner Punch and Burning Spear which tore huge chunks out of his body, he burned then crushed his other leg and skewered him multiple times over with Burner Shot. And after all that when Toriko had sunk to the ground he asked "already lost conciousnes?" as if he was a far way from being done with that fight. He didn't have a strained look on his face and was talking normaly, not even panting that much.
Starjun absolutely dominated Toriko in the end; AGAIN. He didn't even use any dark techniques during the fight even though he had at least one available. It wasn't until that unexplained and highly mysterious manifestation of Toriko's Gourmet Cells that did some actual lasting damage to Starjun. Something that is supposedly very powerful and rare if even Jirou and Setsuno give it so much credit. Toriko normally wasn't supposed to be this strong going by the general level he displayed against Starjun. Which is probably why he got sloppy.
This is no news. Grinpatch and Tommyrod also held back when fighting Toriko. If you don't give your all from the very beggining there's a high chance you end up suffering serious damage no matter how stronger you are.
However Starjun is a special case. He didn't hold back only because he wanted some entertainment, there's an even bigger reason behind.
Joa… you... the more I think about it the weirder you get.
'Shunkan dappi' - 'instant shedding'. Couldnt she just take off her cloak? Why 'shed' it unless its a part of your skin? Or is itttt?
Makes me think that she's a smart-soulless empty husk of the original frohze.
! revived by acacia, turned horribly wrong, he hid center from his full course…. Oh shit.
So many mysteries I cannot brain this anymore.
Wait I have another crazily insane stupid theory
! what if nitros are actually human beings that ate 'center' long long time ago and survived till now?
As far as Nitros go, I'd bet anything that Nitros have two distinct factions. They aren't nearly as cut and dry as they've been presented so far. I'm actually pretty curious as to when the "good" (or at least, non-feral) Nitro faction is going to show up and communicate with the main cast. For reference, the non-feral Nitro faction was practically thrown in everyone's face during the Ozone Herb chapters. It's been long enough that part of me wouldn't be surprised if somehow they made an appearance either now or in the next arc. Who knows how they'll figure into the Frohze-zombie stuff though.
Having eaten it explains Joa's knowledge about Acacia's full course, the location of each of the legendary ingredients that form it as well as the method to cook them. Joa's Food Luck must be insane, I can tell you.
