I really really hope Kubo will forget the subplot with the Fullbringers.
…..I can dream, you know.

The only things I really want from the last arc is one good fight, and a cool bankai for kenpachi. If Kubo can at least deliver that I will be glad.
So he took a month long break before the final arc started, and now he's taking 6 weeks off for the final arc part 2, lol. If only he really wanted to end it soon, but we all know he's gonna drag the fights out for way over 100 chapters.

We could only be so lucky. :(

I think we have a small chance that Kubo actually has forgotten them already. But if he uses his time to reread his manga we have a problem. Because he will use the fullbringers and other forgotten characters to make some cool chapters and the last arc will turn into an episode-based unravelling-of-threads which is even worse than anything we had until now as it gives Kubo more chances to insert plot-holes and not-really-characterized characters with surprised expressions and near-face-shots.
I think if I ever saw Aizen, Ginjou, Tsukishima, and Bach on the same page at the same time I would scream bloody murder.

I was jut hit by a terrifying thought.
What if Kubo goes the same route he went before and uses all the characters he's been showing off recently to have individual, full length fights with all the forgettable quincies we got introduced to in the past two chapters.

You're missing Ivan and the other guy who got killed at the same time as he did.
ahahaahahaha i completely forgot that the worst characters ever were brought back for no real reason by kubo
Can we vote Sasuke off the island? Because I'm getting real tired of his shit.
You can save them both 4th, but no one will blame you if you slip up. :ninja:
I hope Bleach doesn't end before Naruto.
Really what's the point of Soul Tickets if you don't need to die to visit there? Totally destroys the story that has been built up and how only Urahara has the means for people to travel between different worlds. I double the twins of the Kurosaki family knows anything.
I almost laughed myself crazy as I saw "The world will end in 9 days" is Kubo so crazy to fit to the 9 theme to re-start the manga on the 9TH??
Thank you for letting me drop Bleach!
I think if I ever saw Aizen, Ginjou, Tsukishima, and Bach on the same page at the same time I would scream bloody murder.
By speaking this out loud, you have invoked the magic of Arlong Park. It will be so.

Imagine, pages upon pages of mouth and nose close-ups. Maybe some double spreads with an ear or a chin to get the air across. Four men, leading a superficial, redundant bout of unending verbal one-upmanship.
It's the perfect Bleach.

And I guess that is what we are getting come September.
Hopefully we get an Invasion of the Body-Snatchers moment at the end of Bleach, where it's revealed that everyone was Aizen all along.
Edit: Man, that's cold, Rukia. Lying to that poor man.
I get the main point of that picture, but just as a side note, you would never see Ichigo in that silly position in today's Bleach, no matter the circumstances. His coolness factor would not allow it.
Kubo has an "image" to maintain with his character. Ironically enough, the more he's tried to maintain that image, the more forgettable Ichigo has become.
Other than that, look at that image. The appropriate panel usage, the placement of the dialogue bubbles. It's almost as if there's actually a presentation.
I mean even then, though, you could see Kubo's plans to white-out everything (look at the portal the guy's being sucked into, foreshadowing perhaps???).

That is a good point, the composition of images in early Bleach and Naruto was so much better than recent stuff. Ideas were conveyed really well without the need of massive amounts of dialogue or fifteen reaction shots, and things looked like they took effort. Maybe that's what happens when you fall out of love with your story like Naruto, or you become too obsessed with making your ideas "cool" like Kubo.
For example, just looking that the above page, what do we know?
-There is a Soul Society
-There is a Hell
-How to cross over a soul properly
-Ichigo is still confused and scared of what's happening.
That's a lot of information for a page, but it doesn't feel like a lot of information.
Now here's a page from this week's Bleach with a similar amount of dialogue.
!
What information do we recieve?
-Ichigo may be too powerful for the real world but we aren't sure!
-Keigo doesn't like that too much!
I often feel like simple panel placement and image composition are really underrated when people review a chapter or series. I care more how something is presented than what the thing is that was presented, usually.
This is why I can't enjoy Naruto, because there's no diversity in pages (not that I would enjoy it anyway), it's just panel after boring panel. http://readms.com/read/naruto/639/1987/10
Bleach may try cool to an extent all life is sucked out, but there's some diversity in how a page is done. http://readms.com/read/bleach/546/1989/19

I feel like Naruto and Bleach are at opposite ends of image construction.
Bleach is so minimalistic that we get little to no information per page, and things that are happening are spread out so far that it makes it boring.
Naruto tries to shove as much shit into each panel as possible, making it all look like a soup of mediocrity.
Sometimes I feel like my vocabulary is sorely limited when it comes to trying to convey what I enjoy visually in a manga in terms of presentation, but I'll say that I really enjoy it when the author is able to properly get across kinetics of the action scene. When you get sense of impact and energy from the blows or other sorts of collisons,as well as general perception of velocity. You know, that weird sense of movement that is there despite manga being a set of static images, achieved though sheer mastery of the illustrator and his use of cinematic angles, dynamic panel placement and the like.
Artists like Murata and Kishiro achieve that dynamism splendidly.Guys like Kubo don't,his swordfights always come off feeling lacking to me because of it.
I really, REALLY hated the "ZOMG my attack did no damage!" thing.
okay, sometimes its a good way to hype a character, but the way kishi did it was fucking stupid, Konan tried that paper bombs bullshit before on a normal Obito and it didnt do shit, why would a weaker version of it work on an even more hax obito?
why do ichigo's friends even like ichigo
it is like me hearing about some random guy i knew from high school a while back who is now in deep debt and me wanting to pay his fines
It's because Ichigo is pretty. I mean just look at that hair. That is hair that could only be depicted in all of its glory by master stylist Tite Kubo.
Notice how none of the portraits have a background. Except 318, which has half of a background, but Kubo fixed this mistake by 377.

That's just Kubo's brilliant artistic choice, using the void of background as a background in of itself.
This can apply to the story as well. Oh Kubo! You're a renaissance man, paving the way for true manga!
I am going to pretend that because of the frivolity of soul tickets, that Shunsui also finally got the problem of people's families being reunited in the awful peasant purgatory that is soul society.
@'T€:
@$;2959767']The Wagomu comic a few pages back was more comprehensible than this week's Naruto.
Yeah. I miss that masterpiece.
That guy found himself a poor peasant in the boonies and was promptly killed by Mayuri as part of an experiment.
So in 9 days. As in, 9 months. Which is 36 chapters. So, really about 50 more chapters and we'll finish the 9 nine days plot line. If I go by kubo logic everything adds up nicely.
Thanks mangapanda
I found this in a Bleach thread and thought I'd drop it by here :whistling:. I've only read up to the "Spirit King" I think. Man, I wish I was these guys. I'd start watching golf and love it. right click "Open image in new tab" and magnify to see in full size

Unohana used her bankai?
and oh yeah I forgot about all the side characters getting holes punched in them. It happens so often I guess I just mixed it up with some other arc.

I haven't kept up with Bleach in a while so I really don't know. I did some cursory googlin' and apparently it has the same name as her Shikai and involved blood or something.
Even without reading it, those reactions don't match up. "Get ready for some gut spilling" has to be the most awful way to setup a flashback ever. Isshin actually said that?

He had just stabbed Momo, so I guess it was accurate.
Oh fuck that was Toshiro I'm mixing everything up.
There there, you are doing a better job of keeping it together than Kubo.
Naruto chapter is out, Obito still thinking about Rin
Well that was incredibly difficult to follow
Wheew, that was… painful... to sort.
so Obito got Rikodu's stuff….!!.that's unexpected.....
Okay Kishi, you've proven that you can make baffling, confusing, non-sequential action scenes. Can something PLEASE HAPPEN ALREADY?!
So can anyone tell me what the point of the whole Obito forgetting who he was thing was? Because it was really a complete fucking waste of time
Dat Obito.
[hide][/hide]
Wow. Gonna be a awhile before I can unsee that, Wagomu.
I was lost on this chapter before I even finished the first page.
So can anyone tell me what the point of the whole Obito forgetting who he was thing was? Because it was really a complete fucking waste of time
To show how badly he got fucked up by being friend zoned by Rin.

Uh, what did that have to do with anything? And didn't we already see that anyways. Seriously, this whole I'm forgetting who I am thing was so short and underwhelming, and just plain unnessecary. Why leave it in? Would anything be different at all if he hadn't forgotten who he was, but just wasn't immediately used to using the ten tails power?
so Obito got Rikodu's stuff….!!.that's unexpected.....
Hey you seem to be able to follow this stuff and even more impressively care about it.
So maybe you can answer a question for me.
Alright, so this is pretty obviously the final arc, final big battle. Obito is the final villain.
So can you tell me what significance this final battle has to the plot?
A really strong guy is going to do a weird thing that threatens everyone.
But what meaning does that have to Naruto's character? What is Obito to him?
What is this final fight ABOUT.
Like in One Piece it seems like Blackbeard might be the final villain to me, and One Piece at the end of the day seems to be about living free and doing things your own way. And Blackbeard seems to be set up like an evil version of Luffy. Like he believes the same sorts of things about life, but is like, evil.
So hypothetically like the final fight would be ABOUT the two sides of free living dueling eachother, possibly after the opposite of free living is defeated (the WG).
So that's a really rough description of what seems to be Oda's direction for the series. But that's possibly even a decade away from now, thankfully Naruto's finale is right here right now. So surely we should be able to write up something similar for what is going on in Naruto right now?
Or is nothing actually going on aside from some dangerous guy, who is connected to Naruto's mentor character and not him, being …dangerous.

He's forgetting who he is and it's teaaaaaaaring hiimmmm apppaaaaarrrrrrrttttt!!!!
I'm pretty sure x20a's point is that Obito wouldn't be in this mess if Rin didn't friendzone him, or if, you know, Obito grew a pair of balls and moved on.
