@Strelоk:
Well, I saw one person complaing about Oda taking a break (most likely a troll) and around 10 others complaining about people hypothetically complaining which is annoying and brings nothing to the discussion.
! Sabo.
I know, but I couldn´t helped but laugh at all the complaining -complain complainers complaining that each sentence had, Its simply amusing at least to me :ninja:
All forms of complaining are annoying. Shut up and stay on topic. Redon, CCC, please (and thank you) use the spoiler updates / news thread only. It's intentionally closed so that only spoiler section mods can add to it, keeping the chatter to a minimum. I'm not complaining!
I would love to see fujitora in action this chapter to come 711. Regarding Oda´s breaks is no big deal; if I´ve been waiting an eternity for D gray man, Berserk and Hiauts x Hiatus; I´m sure to cope with a common week. I´ve been Reading other mangas so things are smooth, Shingeki no kyojin and shokugeki no soma have had me entertained lately; although I´m still craving to devour more manga, cant get enough. Maybe I´ll start with Hajime no ippo, for some reason I just can´t get myself to care about it due to the lenght, is it worth it? I know this is not the place to post this but what can I do the topic has derailed this far.
Hajime no ippo is worth it in my opinion, very long and not that close to finishing either, you know it'll be a long ride and have something else consistent to read. And 6 stars say brennen can complain if he wants :ninja:

someone got angry:blink:. Anyway I´m amused that "THAT WORD" its still being used. that aside, why do I feel as if Franky will get a massive increase in his bounty after this arc. He seems to be the only reliable Straw hat in the Factory destruction troup. The others have already forgotten what their prupose on the island was and went on a small vacation or to jail in kinemons case (I guess). Robin and Ussop are doing an OK job, but why do nami, brook and chopper have to stay on board? They can fight, I know but brook aside, nami and chopper aren´t exactly the top notch guardians. Ps: @Drazgoon, thanks for the info I´ll be looking into it. guess I´ll be putting my boxing gloves on
What you described in your first paragraph is basically 'a Pirate' and that's how pirates were in real life. They killed people when they lost card games, they stole other people's treasure, they mocked younger inexperienced pirates, they mocked everyone. Bellamy wasn't an asshole, he was a pirate and a damn fine one at that but yes he was indeed an asshole but it has been 2 Years! People change a lot in two years, some can change drastically within a few days.
Only the Blackbeard Pirates are real pirates in the OP world from what we have seen, and Bellamy. The whole stealing gold thing was a pirate thing to do but the other aspects esp starting to knife people just because they are sitting in seats that you want to sit in is pretty douchey thing to do. We have yet to find out what Bellamy did in Skypia, the way he responded, it didn't exactly sound like he became friends with the people over there.
@Monkey:
Yes it is.
It's the only reason he's memorable and stands out in any way in terms of people hating him.
You don't give the remotest fuck about what he did to Roshio the Executioner, please lol, don't lie to the folks at home bub.
Like I said, Zeff in Sanji's flashback, and even everyone's favorite goofball Buggy were assholes. No one cares about them. They have no more reason than Bellamy to be hated in that regard.
It is absolutely Bellamy's dream trampling and dream laughing that make him unforgivable, except that he is calling himself out on that stuff now.
You can add some of the Supernovas too, Kidd was gonna crucify some pirates begging for their lives remember?Meanwhile FAR WORSE people are forgiven or seen as cool antiheroes. EVERY member of Baroque Works, not even just Crocodile. Especially the Officer Agents. People love em'!
Hatchi even directly contributed to Bellmere's death in so much as he pointed out there were three meals at Bellmere's table. It's really just a joke to pretend Bellamy is anything special.
I think you are misunderstanding me. Let people love him, that's fine. If I, or you were to go at people's throats for liking a character (though I do wonder how anyone can like Tashigi) then it would be rather silly. I may have even stated something dumb as such before, who knows. My point is this guy is a complete asshole and there were plenty of examples where either he or his crew acted as such, in very few episodes. If you want to purposely ignore that he had about 4 acts of complete douchebaggery in just a few episodes which spanned over a single day, then you can do it but it doesn't mean I should do the same.
As for enemies of the crew constantly turning into allies on a regular basis… well don't get me started on that part of Oda's writing style otherwise there are going to be a lot of angry fans replying to my post afterwards. I do agree there have been far worse cases of character being bad -> turning good, my head still hurts at the idea of Crocodile helping Luffy at Marineford... I actually like Hachi :S
The notifications update seem to work here and there at the moment, not very reliable. :S
About the difference between the amount of breaks, in the last years, between Oda and Kishi.. If Iam not totally wrong I think that some years ago One Piece was ~100 Chapters in front of Naruto. Look how much its now in Front of Naruto with the amount of Chapters. And my opinion about the Reason, why we dont have a Chapter next week, its for sure again time for Odas "traditional" break what hes doing every 5-7 Chapters in a row. His 2 weekly stay in the Hospital wasnt scheduled to prelong this break two weeks more, because he was, if Iam not wrong, hospitaled few Hours before the chapter was going in the Print Shop and because of this 80-90 % of this Chapter were achieved.
break break break …. next week
thanks Oda anyway
Someone got angry.
:swanson:
Why do Nami, Brook and Chopper have to stay on board?
Both Zoro and Nami/Brook/Chopper are involved with "fairies" so any of them could end up on Green Bit. Zoro more than likely will, and Oda has the fairies on the ship for a reason, and that reason is almost definitely to take the group off of the ship, so it's just a question of where they'll end up.
Weren't you the one who said Jesus have kings Haki a few pages ago?
Lol no, now why would I say that.
I know it's been awhile since I've been here, but how about that Bellamy? I've gained respect for the guy, that's for sure. Way to go Oda, on that.
^ More love for Bellamy! His twist is nice, I admit that. I can't wait to see myself how his character will develop in the next chapters. He has potential no matter what.
Doflamingo didn't come close to "fleeing" Aokiji. He went on with killing Smoker despite Aokiji telling him not to, he then said he'd take a rain check on the fight. Not to mention he broke out of Aokiji's ice with no damage, something only Whitebeard has done (not comparing the two). Kuzan isn't on the same level as a Yonkou, it took him and the other two admirals to block Whitebeard's quake (before Whitebeard got injured). He couldn't freeze Whitebeard, and was injured by Jozu (who btw was stopped in his tracks by Doflamingo). He was also in a stalemate with Ace who obviously wasn't Yonkou level. I'd say him, Hancock (possibly) and, Mihawk are all admiral level shichibukai because they were the only characters who participated but weren't injured in the war and all have feats of incredible strength/abilities. I think there is a VERY good possibility (and evidence) of Doflamingo being admiral level or close to it. He's obviously not at Yonkou level but I think he was saved for the second half of the grand line for a reason along with all the build up (his bounty, SA, bellamy).
If he would have been an Admiral level fighter, he would have easily killed off Smoker before having been frozen by Kuzan (with his hands in his pocket, if you didn't notice it). Dofla broke out while panting and his underling even feared for his life. Were he an Admiral level fighter, he wouldn't have needed to abandon killing Smoker. If you think otherwise, please explain why he did so?
Pretty much none of the big players went all out during the war, otherwise Marineford would be no more (look at Punk Hazard for reference what a full-blown fight does to the surroundings).
-> You did see they protected the whole scaffold, didn't you?
-> You are saying he isn't at Yonkou level and then comparing him with Whitebeard…the World's Strongest Man. He was the strongest of them, of course, but they had to be in his ballpark to be able to rival him. And the Admirals being overall weaker than a Yonkou wouldn't really make sense, they're the pinnacle of the Marines. They should be able to take on a Yonkou (again, WB was WSM)
-> WB had his quakes and again, WSM
-> He was just bleeding because Jozu hit him with Haki, that wasn't the biggest injury ever. Kuzan freezing Jozu and his arm breaking was pretty big though (granted, Jozu was distracted, but yeah - war).
-> Doflamingo stopping Jozu in his tracks can be attributed to his hax. And it might just be another misleading hype even Oda sometimes likes to do.
-> Doflamingo (and Hancock neither, probably) is never on Mihawk's level (and by that Admiral level), that's what I can tell you already. I guess you won't believe me, but we can just wait and see! =)
I don't think Fujitora is going to fight when he meets Law and them. IIRC, Akainu just sent him to assess the situation for one more day. That must have been the reason why Fujitora didn't attack Luffy when they met unless he was fooled by Luffy's disguised.
Funny how people say " take a rest Oda" then when he does it the same people start complaining (not all of them of course but the complaints are highly noticeable)

they mean by take rest :
-sleep over 3 hours

What?! Are you kidding me!
yeah it's true next week would be no OP
and we don't know the reason not yet
but what i understand from ppl that's Oda health alright … is something different maybe gather some idea for upcoming Chapitre
they mean by take rest :
-sleep over 3 hours
-stop smoking
People were actually asking Oda to take a month long break, or even longer. So yeah, the bitching right now is coming a bit out of left field.
Also, expect many more to come, basically because summer is right round the corner and if I'm not mistaken, the publication schedule during summer is pretty irregular. Someone correct me on that if I'm wrong.
So use this chance to catch up with the many awesome mangas/series/books/games out there. Or jog. Or learn martial arts. Or study. . .nah, don't study, it's bad for your health.
! One Piece Chapter 710:
"Heart-touching Moments, Luffy Fanboys, and Midgets"
Page 3:
Blurb: “After the 3-meter super move known as the King Punch…”
Bellamy: “I… never had a special attack like that…"
“Even Lucy had that Urano Metria bullshit…"
Luffy: “Why the hell did you mention Fairy Tail! You bastard!”
Medic: “Who doesn't like Fairy Tail, hater?!”
Bellamy: “Hah… hah… My 'Iron Fist of the Fire Dragon' is long overdue!”
“And yet you…the protagonist...Have, like, ten! And on top of that...”
“You're wearing a fake beard…”
Luffy: “U mad bro?”
Bellamy: “My jealousy knows no bounds!”
“Strawhat…!!!”
Barto: “Eh…!? Strawhat…!!?”
It's a start.
Or study. . .nah, don't study, it's bad for your health.
Anything that doesn't require audio can be aided by music! If I'm studying I just listen to new albums and bam there I go, I can study for hours. Boring book, boring anything that doesn't require hearing? Music. Bam. Instantly exciting. Boring sentence? Add the word 'bam' to add some fake excitement in there like I do.
And someone who studies is Robin and Robin and Usopp's interaction in this chapter was fun!!! (lol at my terrible attempts at staying on topic)
I enjoyed your post in the character tournament thread about people stating things like they are facts. I always make it a point to include the "I think"'s and the "to me's" in my posts. It takes me possibly a third of a second to type "to me" somewhere where it fits.
Is that Crocodile on the top left?

Not 100% sure it's him, but I'd say about 90%, yeah.

It's been years since I last studied, but I did go for music to make it less boring. That's the good part. The bad part is that I got terribly distracted doing this. . .
Anyways, on-topic (or not?), I'm guilty of not adding "IMHO" or "In my opinion" or "to me" lots of times, so I'm quite the hypocrite; specially in the Naruto or similar threads where I can just butt in and say "man, that was a piece of crap". Guess I should stop doing that, cause there's people genuinely enjoying those mangas and just butting in to throw shit at these series it's quite a douche thing to do. It's quite hard to quit such an habit, though, specially with Naruto and FT and the likes. . .
Also, in this very same thread I can go and say "GREAT CHAPTER!". In fact, I did it a couple of pages ago. It goes without saying that it is a personal appreciation, and others might think differently, as it can be seen ("okish chapter", "average chapter", "boring chapter", "perfect chapter!", etc. . .). Guess we shouldn't just go and tell each and every poster "man, that's YOUR opinion, not a fact!", cause it's pretty obvious it's an opinion.
When taking that a step further and saying stuff like "man, this is crap. Utter shit. Why the hell do you like this absolute shit?" or, in the opposite scenario, someone stating "this is the best thing ever, no discussion allowed. How the hell could ANYONE not like this? It's beyond human comprehension!". These are presented as facts, and they're obviously opinions. In these cases, not even a "in my opinion" does much help, cause the presentation is already quite authoritative and not even open to dialogue. It's these kind of statements that don't sit well with me. Again, I do it from time to time with other series, so I should shut up. But my point was, don't do it on a character tournament where people are putting in so much effort.
And anywhere else, well, it's still an assholish thing to do.
Now, even more on topic, does anyone have the Aohige signal? I made some questions a few pages back about Oda's specific word usage and emphasis concerning Blackbeard in some situations that could be considered foreshadowing. I mean, his weird body structure is obviously a hint at something to come, but Ace did say something to him about his age, and there was Luffy and Zoro saying "it's not him, but them!". Everyone probably thinks these aren't important, but seeing how Aohige specificaly mentioned Oda's been throwing weird wording and emphasizing where BB is concerned, and how translations during most of those scenes are pretty damn terrible, it'd be great to go back to them. . .right?
(Might be a lot of work, so if that's the case, forget about it. . .).

I thought the same thing. I wonder if that's his crew, if so they don't really stand out. Maybe he's laying low based on his attire.
so no one piece next week..?
well if it's for oda's health or some big event or just taking time off w/e am ok with it..
….Godamn it all.
wait, so we get a chapter this week on Wed and then NO chapter next week?

I pray to GOD, ODA and who ever rules destiny that you are right on the nami, chopper and brook possibility to land on Green Bit, but why do I have a feeling that we won´t see the crew together until Zou is introduced. Yeah vibre cards, I always get separation vibes when one of those appear. Btw, I agree on Zoro getting there because of the rumour that goes on and on… he´s a stray marimo

When Zoro fell off the roof, did the girl fairy land butt first on Zoro's face? If he did, that means since Sanji reached first base with Violet and Zoro went directly to third base, Luffy is most likely gonna touch Rebecca's boobs somehow since he missed his chance last time. Oda is a bit of a perv so I don't see why it won't happen.
But the thing is, Luffy is the hero of the story lol, it's not too far fetched to have him learning faster than anybody else. 2 years would be short for most of people, but luffy isnt supposed to be most of the people, hes the 1 dude who will become the pirate king…
I don't have a problem because Luffy is better than normal( it's usual stuff and didn't have a problem with soru learning) but I don't the point of saying that 2 years will be a tight schedule to learn even the basis in haki if you plan on giving Luffy a high-level of haki. If it's for hype you can just say it's hard to learn. It's vague it doesn't actually seems strange when a bunch of people who didn't have it just happen to know and control it quite well 2 years later.

The two years of training were not so Luffy could obtain haki. He's had it throughout the entire journey and it has been increasing none stop. The purpose of that training was for him to learn the basics on how to mold the haki he already had into a weapon.

As accurate as this post is - people will read the first line and go into a blind rage.
You are correct though - he spent 2 years learning how to use Haki - not how to obtain it.
I think Bartolomeo would be an ally to Luffy during the battle, there's something in his facial expression when he heard 'Mugiwara'. But I wouldn't be so sure about this though, afterall it could be an expression of anger..
LOL.

I actually disagree. The series says that everyone has the potential to use Haki. Sometimes the potential manifested itself into actual use for Luffy, but it wasn't something he was aiming to do. He learned to intentionally use it first, and then to use it as a weapon during the skip.

Let's just say we don't thing the same way. For me the level one has when he sart to learn haki is the same because the learner doesn't know anything about. For me the fact that Luffy had haki before meeting Rayleigh only made him skip the awakening of haki but didn't change a thing about the level he had at the start.

If those were the dwarves the we would be seeing Enel soooon. :-D
In my opinion, the reason why Law ddidn't tell the strawhats about the marines coming is that they haven't done anything to earn his trust for now. They just prove they have the brawl for now. I mean Ceasar almost got out because of their captain's randomness. It's even a chance there're still in a alliance.

Semantics I'm thinking. Don't worry about it.
I thought the same thing. I wonder if that's his crew, if so they don't really stand out. Maybe he's laying low based on his attire.
I think it might really be Crocodile and he might be working with Doffy. If you remember Alabasta, Crocodile wanted military power. Since he couldn't get his hands on Pluton, the next big thing is the SMILE DF's.

and we can add them as another oda-foreshadowing-style…
i think it is funny to see the oda-dwarves-style were having those robot's moustache..:ninja:
Another break next week : (
I think it would be good if the dwarves in One Piece look different from dwarves from all fantasy books. Like hot girls(don't bash me for it, who doesn't want hot female dwarves) and guys that don't have long beards (or maybe you need that to call it a dwarf, I don't know).

Well, the actual word literally means little-man/men, but the guys here prefer to use "dwarf".

Well anyways, we don't know for sure how strong his haki is. We're just gonna have to wait and see. When he faces someone with a strong haki, we will be able to tell just how good his own one is. Tbh im more confused about the form of haki itself, seing how rayleigh's shield was clearly blue, we also saw sentomaru, it looked yellow when he used it, and now luffy's who literally ignites? I dont get it and I cant wait to know what all this is about. Does it have to do with the user's will, like luffy's will would be ''hotter'' therefore better? Really im clueless about this. Unless all of this is anime only.. But im prty sure we could see a difference between rayleigh's haki and luffy's

Like I said, Crocodile wants military power according to the Alabasta arc. Once Croc knew what DD had, he might have changed his mind. I doubt he'd turn down the SMILE DF's.
it seems like Oda is doing what George Lucas couldn't. he's mirroring the first half of the grand line. maybe he will continue with it. i'm not complaining, it's clearly working great.

It's really not that mirrored…..which is a good thing. Why the hell would we want it to mirror the first half?
And what the hell does George Lucas have to do with anything?
