Well, that sucks. Most of the original talent is gone, but Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis was one of the first games I saved up to buy. Day of the Tentacle and Secret of Monkey Island were two of the first games that made me laugh as much as any book or show, and I even loved The Dig when I first played it.
But most of all, Grim Fandango is still the best game I've ever played.
LucasArts is dead. Long live LucasArts.

LucasArts was a playground for the talent of its golden days, raising legends like Tim Schafer and being at the center of the adventure game craze. It's a shame to see them go.
I really hope at the very least this means that the rights to Grim Fandango will go back to Schafer. I know dick about how that works, but I would love to see the game rereleased over Steam.
