I dont know if this is a plot hole or not because I havent really looked into it. But I have never understood the whole thing about acacia. He was apparently some godly strength dude to be able to do all he did. Yet it seems the only people who can get that strong are people with gourmet cells. However, Acacia discovered gourmet cells at the bottom of the ocean and Im not sure if this was human world or gourmet world. So how was Acacia able to do all the things he did without gourmet cells? Even if he found and injected them into himself how was he able to get to the bottom of the ocean without gourmet cells? None of it really seems to add up to me.
Also, there is some of the chefs who are insanely strong yet dont seem to have gourmet cells. Who knows maybe they do have them. It just seems to me the whole gourmet cells stuff is weird because you have natural strength, things like food honor, and then gourmet cells. There just doesnt seem to feel like any harmony between them. Take Mansam. His flashback showed him to be super strong. Was he just naturally super strong? Did he have gourmet cells back then? If so how did some random thug get and use gourmet cells? If he didnt have gourmet cells then why the hell does he have them now? Same with street urchin four kings.
It feels like gourmet cells are supposed to be some natural cells in the body that people can evolve but not everyone is strong enough to do that(like haki). Yet we have been showed countless times they are just the cells from some jelly fish.
