@garonne:
not debating but asking out of curiosity but be relevant how? i kinda thought lucci's past had some relevance and i may have assume dd might have something similar to more drastic to establish him as a threat. so just curious, as to how what relevance do u think it may play?
How? Like I said, I'm not even going to touch theorizing about that, because, as neat as I think some of the ideas presented so far have been, I don't feel that there's anything much to base theories off of, and I'm just not that into making theories up.
But if you're asking why I think it will be relevant, it's this:

Vergo's line in that page, stating that Law's lack of knowledge about Doflamingo's past will be his downfall. It's possible that it will come to nothing, I guess, but that definitely seems like clear foreshadowing to me.
Yeah, Lucci's past had some relevance, but in the sense of it not being pointless; as you said, and I did before, it established him as a threat. I don't really think it played into how the fight with him, or his actions in general, unfolded, though. Looking at it another way, I can't imagine someone having said 'You know nothing of Lucci's past, and that will be your downfall!', if that makes any sense.
