Aw, allergies suck :<
You should go get your sleep then instead of "owling" here all night long.

This may all be irrelevant anyway because, and I'm truly and deeply sorry to say this, but it turns out that I can't host this conference.
It's aggravating to me but I've been unable to get a computer set up in my room. You see, we have my computer and a virused one so what I tried doing is fixing the virused one (since I'm lending my computer to the family; it's in the dining room) but despite all my efforts, I haven't been able to fix it.
So instead, I decided I'd just straight take my computer back. But I can't install Belkin in order to catch a wireless signal. Again, I've been trying my ass off here for the past several hours but there's always some kind of error in the way. I've been researching all night on how to resolve all of these issues but I don't believe I'll find one until after today. That means that I can't hold the conferences today.
Though regardless, I scheduled these conferences and it's very unprofessional of me to cancel at the last minute. It's a disservice to everyone participating and moreover, this may have even had ramifications in participating members personal lives in trying to fit the schedule I laid out. I understand this and the ramifications and, if nothing, I'm just deeply and truly sorry.
The proposal I'd set up though is to either postpone the conferences until Thursday (so two days from now) at the same times OR another organizer could fill in for me. Though it's much, MUCH too close to the scheduled time and I know that this is a massive disservice to the other organizers as well.
Basically, I fucked up.

i'm going to bed right now
night -
Well considering that I have more or less hosted some of the previous morning conferences due to other people's connection failures, I could in theory attempt to host the earlier one today as well. Shouldn't be a problem, I just won't be using my laptop if that is the case. The thing is, though, that I'm not particularly willing to encumber our already burdened connection (that also happens to be our financial lifeline) if the number of participants is especially low.
Anyone up for the earlier conference today, or should we just postpone?
-
I was going to participate, but a meeting at my school was scheduled for 5pm… though it shouldn't take more than an hour. So, I'm up for it, but probably won't be able to join before 6pm Finland time.
-
Well, I'm all up for the morning one, but I'm also fine with the postpone plan.
-
Oh yeah, forgot to mention that Thursday works for me as well, since I don't have school on Fridays.
-
Mmkay, in that case I would say it's smarter to postpone it until Thursday morning if that means a higher attendance. There's not exactly a huge amount of stuff I would have something to say about in terms of writing related discussion, so the more people we get there the more fruitful any conversation will be.
-
It's kind of okay Kenny because conferences are really easy to host so you don't have to beat yourself up over it, anybody can do it if you can't
But if it means higher attendance thursday is fine
I guess it's already set in that we're doing it in two days instead anyways so that's okay
I might spend this time to think of questions
-
Holy please tell me you'll be there for the morning one too. I don't want to be left all alone :{
I seek contacts and acceptance~
-
Got a computer up. Thursday is 100% a-go.

It's not so much that which I'm concerned about, it's that I scheduled something and then cancelled (well postponed) last minute. And despite how easy it is, I know the idea of being plunged into position of questionaire when you were expecting to be a questionee is annoying.
Though you're right, I may just be overreacting. It's just sort of something I hate in general.

What about me you jerk? >=(
Do you NOT want to have a conversation about how lovely your voice is!?
-
Kenny is sexually harrassing people's voices!
-
I'll definitely be coming to this one as I missed the last one due to being busy on a comic page. I SHOULD be making myself busy with that instead, but I'll catch a break and come. For good reason too. I've been writing quite a bit, and recently got inspired by this storytelling method. It's nothing unique, but I found it a powerful tool in the right hands. I'll go into detail if I do bring it up.
Just remember to re-invite me to the group. I left it since I didn't know how to take off the notifications I was getting from it, and it was somewhat annoying. Believe me, it's kind of instinctual for me to check ANY message I get on Skype… and it's hard for me to just ignore them, even when I want to. If there is a way to take it off, then please tell me O_O

Kenny, you're the organizer and my friend - I know you'll be there. I want to connect with people I haven't talked with that much too.
Also, do forgive me, but I admit I'm slightly afraid of not hearing through your accent and making out what you're saying. That would be rather embarrassing. -
I still find it hilarious how it's us wacky Americans that have to worry about the accent. As opposed to the people who don't natively speak English having crystal clear English.
I've said it many times before and I'll say it again, I have nothing but respect for you folks who speak English as a 2nd, 3rd, etc language.

This post is deleted!
-
Oh, trust me, I do worry about the accent too. I just count on you guys to get what I'm saying simply due to the fact that you're most likely far more experienced in encountering people with strange intonation and pronunciation and can thus make out most of it.
Plus, I keep having trouble with vocab mid-sentence. And you can trust me on this, that is incredibly aggravating. Not to mention that it makes me feel less and less confident and results in awkward silent moments cause I completely freeze on the spot.
-
Pssh, don't worry about it Dry. I'm hardly articulate when speaking myself. And I'm absolutely sure I need some kind of speech class to make full use of my wide vocabulary.
My speech is riddled with pauses and stutters when I'm looking for the best word to describe whatever context I'm going on about.
-
After talking to people that seemingly spews words without having no idea what they mean in an attempt to sound "hi-class", I sure taking some kind of speech class beforehand would be good. Not just for you, but for everyone's sakes. No one likes being utterly confused(or in some cases, blindly impressed) by someone over misuse use of vocob.
If not, a personal speech coach. I'm seriously thinking of getting one down the road. Recently I've been recording myself doing commentary for practice on another project I've been working on, and I noticed I tend to not sound very clearly. Or run on or stumble/slip up, because my mind usually thinks of what I'm going to be saying at the end. o_o I felt really sorry for those that had to put up with me before tbh.
-
One hour till the conference.~
-
Get on Skype so we can have a preshow
-
For posterity, Mario songs and real music happened.
-
Ask LaCa for money, receive dead bunny.
-
Changed my mind. Something urgent came up(another Skype call), and I won't be able to come tonight. Sorry.
-
Conference has started.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Welp, I think this is the first time the morning conference was actually more eventful than the evening one. To be honest, it's probably my fault for not doing a better job organizing.
I think we should wait maybe a month until the next one and next time I'll make more of an earnest attempt to inform people of them. Like I'll try to get Dervish there and all that fun stuff.
Anyways, all in all, it was still alright.~
-
I like the part where you guys were my alarm clock.
-
Man, neither my head nor my mouth were really in it tonight. 8S
Sorry if I started sounding bizarre at times. -
I was dead at the time of the night conference :I
Do these on Saturdays.
-
I'm thinking about doing a conference on December 1st (a Saturday) at the usual times. And this time, I'm making sure that there's plenty of topic points so don't worry about the conversation going stale.
I've been thinking a lot about the writing process and I'm really curious what everyone else thinks as well. Hopefully you guys will want to share.~
-
Ok! I'll see what I can do about making this one!
-
Oh God please let me have that Saturday off. :(
-
Aww, and on my birthday too~
I'll try to be on the morning one.
-
I'll be there. For sure.
-
What's the "usual times" again?
-
8:00 - 11:00 AM and PM Central Time
-
No can do. Lame. :/
-
If nothing unexpected and urgent comes up, I'll make it if anyone really cares.
-
Eh I might be able to make the night one
-
If it's okay with you guys I'd like to push the date back a little from the 1st to the 2nd (a Sunday). I recently found out that there's something for me to do on the 1st.
Sorry if this comes as an inconvenience to anyone.
-
Should be able to make both sessions on the Sunday one but not sure yet. On the 30th only the afternoon.
-
Sunday is the worst kind of day to book anything for me, so me coming isn't really assured.
-
i don't think i'll be able to make it sunday since i'll, mostly likely, have company over
-
I'd be interested in coming to this just to hang out, if you guys don't mind. So you're saying BOTH 8am-11am Central, and then 8pm-11pm Central, Sundays? Or what?
-
Just this Sunday, eerie. These things usually happen once or twice a month (likely as a result of the fact that we're at least trying to keep the talk about writing and storytelling, and if we skyped more often we'd run out of things to say). The dates are always given in this thread, so if you want to participate more often keep an eye on this one.
Also, the earlier conference only exists because of the two resident Finns that want to be there too. I can hardly chat with anyone in the middle of the night without waking up anyone else and falling asleep mid-sentence myself.
-
Oooh, Sunday might actually work for me!
-
I'll probably be working, (Saturday I AM working) but I'll see what I can do.
-
Hmm… It sounds like Sunday is a bad day for a lot of people. And there's not really enough people able to go to make up for it.
Is there a better day for you guys? Maybe we can work something out.
-
Weekends are the only days that work for me all the way until Christmas. Busy, busy, busy.
-
We'll program a new day into the universe to be used as Free Day #3 and it will be called Qegday
Meetings will begin from the dawn of Quegday into the appearance of the waxing gibbeous moon, which always ends Quegday, meaning the length and "when" of Qegday is actually rather complicated and must be carefully calculated using the phases of the sky, but hey at leas we've got our own day for this now
-
Alright, Dervish says she's free for both the 30th and the 2nd. She'll most likely attend in the evening.
I'm going to go ahead and stand by the Sunday conference so it will be on the 2nd. However, if there are more convenient times during that day, feel free to speak up. I'll try to re-arrange the schedule to see as much attendance as possible.
I do have questions and topics planned as well.~
