@CosmicDebris:
Wow, that was good. I responded strongly, yes, but then you attempt to tell me to be nice by being even more bastardly. good job. thumbs up
I wasn't even thinking about Kabuto. I was talking purely about his old slingshot, and if you have paid any attention for the last 403 chapters, Usopp is just as fast if not faster with that thing than anyone with a gun is. Yes, I believe he could snipe the seagull with the slingshot, he's hit pretty damn tricky targets before dead on, like Luffy's fist in gomu-gomu no gatling. That was nothing short of amazing. And while you may argue that episode 50 was filler and doesn't count (not 100% true, since there was a graphic novel illustrated by Oda of that story which came out before the anime), I think it was pretty true to form.
Sorry for replying to your oh so brilliant arguments in a bastardly way, I should have asked nicely to have the right to express a completely harmless opinion about my favorite strawhats member without having it labelled as "a load of crap". Sorry, really. Not.
As for the comparative slingshot/rifle. It's pretty obvious a rifle can shoot projectiles faster and at a greater distance than a slingshot. It's pure logics, rubber bands don't exactly have the power gunpowder has. That's why I was saying Usopp, no matter his accuracy, couldn't have sniped the seagulls like Auger did, he told it himself to Chopper, that it was impossible someone deliberatly shot the seagulls (understand: I can't do it myself) as the distance was far too important. That's why I'm saying that, if he had to fight Auger, he'd need a better weapon than a mere slingshot, or Auger could just sit 500 meters away and snipe him between the eyes, as Usopp couldn't reach him no matter how good he is.
