I was bored, so I tried counting all the people that MIGHT join the war against Big Mam, assuming every each one of the Supernova's crewmates will still be post-TS (the ones we see in the background).
So, Luffy has 8 including himself.
Jinbei has 14 (including himself, Aladdin and that octopus Fishman), atleast going by this panel.
Kid has atleast 9, including himself, Killer, Wire and Heat. The other 5 unnamed crewmates we see here and here and here.
Law has 9, including himself. Link.
Apoo has around 17. Link.
Hawkins has 22 atleast, not including himself. Link.
Over all, on Luffy's side there might be atleast 79 men.

Good work, seems like that numbers could be close to reality, i expected them to have a lot more of crewmates, i should've put more attention to that, but Luffy's crew it's 9 and not 8 :I

Lieutenant Commander Brandnew, first appeared in chapter 96. He's the guy who assigns bounties to criminals.

Awesome Octopus Fishman Next To Jimbe on Page 17 of Ch. 624 will be enough to deal with Big Mom and her crew. :ninja:

Well those numbers are assuming that the entire crew is present and most of those pics are from times when they are ashore. The Strawhats don't always leave a person or two behind to leave the ship, when majority of the crew goes ashore. Often its half or all the crew and when some do stay on the ship, the readers don't see it as guard duty.
But then the SHs have been pointed out to be odd by usual standards. There is the practice of leaving a few crewmates on ship for guard duty even if we've not seen it since the East Blue arc, Oda did show it with the Kuro Neko Pirates. So its possible that a few members stayed on their ships during those pics.
And Strawhat-Chan has left open teh possilibity of more crewmembers, saying "at least" and "around"
people are most likely talking about this but , assuming big mom has atleast half as many crews under her as Whitebeard brought to marinford the SunStrawHeart Pirates may just stand a chance , considering how even crews Whitebeard deemed worthy to be under him got beat pretty bad and yea that was at the war of the best but big mom it may be safe to say is the weakest yonkou.I could see another Oars fight happening with luffy being the one to actually finish big mom, wholecake island destroyed and bounties going wayway up
There's no guarantee kiddapoohawkins will be sided with strawhearts. Just because they are both preparing an attack on big mam doesn't make them allies. In fact Kidd has specially said he wants to kill them

Baby 5 might be a cyborg enhanced with "wapo metal". That would explain her ability to transform her arms into different weapons.
Yeah, I think a lot of people are operating under the assumption that Luffy needs as many allies as he can get his hands on to beat Big Mam, but I'm not convinced that things are going to go down that route. Generally, I think it would be more interesting if Luffy and Kid ended up fighting, especially since that's been foreshadowed since their meeting at Saboady. If Big Mam does have something like the Acid Fruit, as people have speculated, a duel against Kid could be just the experience he and his crew need to really gain the experience to triumph over her. Especially because whatever Law has planned probably won't work as well as he thinks it will.
Since this is the theory-thread 4 all kinds of theories I got a commonly known theory bout the 2 Yonkou we haven't seen so far (they have been brought up 4 sure and I'm just posting them again to show that they got my full support):
! Yet the Yonkou seem to have a parental pattern. WB is called Pops by his allies and the name BigMam even speaks for itself. A theory that's very well known is that BigMam is Lola's mom.
This is just speculation yet, but the Risky Bros told us @ TB that Lolas mom is an incredible pirate in the NW. And to be an incredible pirate in the NW means that she COULD be a Yonkou.
Lola's lips and the lips on BigMam's Jolly Roger (JR) look kinda similar.
I also think that BigMam's hair colour and initial colour is green, cause there is also a tree on her JR. This tree could also mean that BigMam likes nature or her DF-ability has to do sth with nature, but IMO at least it could mean that her hair is green just like the leaves on that tree.
Up to the next Yonkou, Kaidou:
This theory wasn't brought up as often as the one with BigMam, but it has been brought up very early:
Kaidou is Franky's dad.
Franky is the son of a pirate and people already thought back in TB that Franky could be Kaidou's son.
The little glance we got from the NW in chap 594 and 595 made that theory even more plausible.
Ch. 595, pg. 3: we see Drake @ an island that is one of Kaidou's favourite islands.
A cyborg-lookin guy is protecting that island in the name of Kaidou. The "18" on both shoulders of that protector remind us strong of the way of how Franky uses numbers 4 his "Battle-Frankys" (BF37).
If Kaidou made this cyborg-lookin guy this theory makes sense that Kaidou is Franky's dad.
Kaidou's initial colour could be just like Franky's: (light)blue.
The reason why I also guess the colour of a Yonkou is, cause WB's was white and Shanks' was red - obviously.
And if Oda uses this colour pattern on the other 2 Yonkou, we can guess which Yonkou has which colour. Since there aren't many colours that are as well known as blue, red, green, yellow, white or black (the last 2 aren't even colours!) there is a chance that I could be right.
BB would also fit as Yonkou, his initial colour is black.
If I am wrong in the end about EVERYTHING I posted above, I'll change my sig to:
"I was totally wrong about the unknown Yonkou!"
I will also link this post to my sig so anyone could read through it anytime when the other 2 Yonkou appear
(I guess it'll take a lil bit of time until that happens).
! –- Update From New Post Merge ---
! This post has another topic:
in the last chap (627) it was mentioned that this year is a Reverie.
It is either shown like the post-war-situation in the whole world (means on-panel, but without SHs),
or the SHs visit MJ in this arc.
I wonder if we'll see MJ with the SHs in this arc, @ least it was foreshadowed in this chap.
When I first read the timespan between the Reveries I immediately checked if the Reverie where Dragon was shown as revolutionary was in the right time (6 yrs ago pre TS, 8 yrs ago post TS, so its right!)
Do u think Hodi will kill the kings @ Reverie to spread fear around the world?
After this revolution and takin Neptune as hostage, he is the ruler of FI now.
i agree on the first theory, big mom is lola's mother and will cause big mom and luffy's fight to be halted halfway…nami will suddenly remember that vivre card thats moving towards big mom. though i think their hair color are always green...the reason of tree in jolly roger in her flag is (im assuming) a devil's fruit ---- big mom got the zoan fruit model: tree or some monster plant.
if i may add some of my theories about big mom and her daughters...then i would say jewelrey bonney and lola are big mom's daughters....i could list a full argument but i got no time so i think ill just give few examples:
jewelrey bonney is portgas D. ace's fiance and is a former member of whitebeard pirates,..when would be the time she left whitebeard pirates? around the time ace decided to search for blackbeard i assume.
on your other theory, im still 50/50 on it…though it appears that kaidou and his crew are kinda mecha-ish. so maybe youre on the right track.
EDIT: i had always thought that luffy will befriend 2 yonkous and will fight 2 other (whitebeard is excluded since he is destined to die)just like luffy befriending 2 (hancock, jinbe), being neutral with 2 (mihawk, kuma) and making enemies with 3 (crocodile, moriah and doflamingo) of the original shichibukai...so im thinking luffy would befriend big mom in the end, and would make enemies with kaidou....of course shanks and blackbeards relationship with luffy are already revealed and would likely stay that way.
great theories. props.
jewelrey bonney is portgas D. ace's fiance and is a former member of whitebeard pirates,..when would be the time she left whitebeard pirates? around the time ace decided to search for blackbeard i assume.
- possible reason why bonney was crying on the events of war and why she decided to hunt blackbeard down.
- also, bonney's ability is too hax so the WG might probably want her (i would go so far that she was caught sometime by the WG when she left the crew and made the gorousei young again but she luckily escaped somehow–-ok, maybe im not making sense LOL), obviously she's not that strong so how would she survived that long? well, if she was protected by a yonkou would be one possibility (whitebeard).
Now we're just reaching for straws; especially with the whole Ace's fiance bit. She is "not" strong yet she has hax powers. What?
Bonney's power is very useful but not hax at all. I suppose there's an age limit she can conjure. Any top-tier character with a DF can easily beat her as a kid or as an elderly person. I mean, how old was WB when he died?

The problem from what we´ve seen so far is that the DF does not only age your opponent physically but also mentally. The children on Sabaody were all crying. Assuming she turned you into a child, how should he/she know how to fight or use a DF.

Mentally shouldn't mean the skills, knowledge, and experience are gone. I'd say it's more emotionally. Normal people (fodder marines) can be a crybaby at such age (emotionally), but I don't think the top-tiers would be the same. I dare say they were already badasses when they were still kids. And even with the weakened state they'd still be pretty damn strong.

LOL…im sorry, i admit im reaching for straws here...its just that when portgas D. rouge was giving birth she said she would name the baby "anne" if it was a girl (but its a boy so ace) and there's a real pirate named "anne bonney" so i just thought its a connection...well, ok, shoot me now. LOL..nevermind, i cant even explain it myself
what if bonney had energy steroids from fishman island? perhaps there would be no side effects for her.
Bonney seems to be the subject of many peoples attention. The thing is, Bonney is currently one of the most (if not THE most) ambiguous supernovas. We know like 10% of who she and what she's after. We don't really have anything concrete to work off of for her.
One thing I can say for certain is that once Luffy and her finally meet, Luffy's not gonna like her since both are gonna fight over food.
So here's a theory: Baby 5 and Buffalo don't make it to PH in time (but even if they do I don't think it will matter) and Law and Luffy manage to kidnap CC+SAD. Last chapter (682) Dofla said that he would be in trouble if Law succeded on PH.
Maybe he might even get desperate or it will simply be necessary for him to ally with Big Mom (who currently hates Luffy and Dofla will after Law's plan works) so that he enact his full wrath upon the Strawhats.
Comments, Opinions?

It is a little too much if they have to deal with Doflamingo and B.Mom don't you think?

Well think about this what if its Doflamingo+Big Mom fighting a 2-front war: on one side the the Strawhat-Heart Alliance and on the other the Kid/Hawkins/Apoo alliance. I don't think the 2 supernova alliances would be aware of each other at least until later on in this theoretical situation. I think fighting 2 battles against 2 evidently dangerous alliances would be enough to even make a Shishibukai or the least war-like Yonkou sweat a little.
Of course there's not much evidence that Kid/Hawkins/Apoo are even going after Big Mom or Dofla my best evidence is that Kid has been giving Big Mom some trouble lately attacking some of her fleet, and further back at the end of the whitebeard war I think Kid made some kind of passing comment about the Yonkou being in a moment of vulnerability and particularly Big Mom.
Ok here is my theory, I don't know if anyone has said it before.
Why Vergo turns black when he uses haki is because of his cloth/dress, his wearing a glove, long-sleeve, his body from shoulder to toe is covered by cloths/leather which are somehow related to rubber.. Unless we see Vergo remove his glove then use haki and his hand/fist turn black then we will need Oda explanation. In short Vergo hasn't used haki were his skin is exposed.

Luffy´s arm does not turn black because of rubber though
Luffy´s arm does not turn black because of rubber though
Well it isn't entirely clear why his arm turns black, I mean bosushoku haki was used plenty of times pre-skip and it was never manifested as it did on Luffy. Now there's 2 possibilities here: The first is that Luffy is using haki as a way of causing vulcanization of rubber which is why it blackens and makes it exponentially harder. The second is that all bosushoku haki manifests like this but only applied directly to the skin as opposed to like a shield like sentomaru or rayleigh demonstrated, if this was the actual case its possible that Vergo has simply honed his Bosushoku haki so much that even his clothes become black when he uses it for martial combat, Rayleigh once said that most haki users focused on a single school so maybe his Mantra Haki is weaker.
The thing is, Luffy used Busoushoku post-TS without his sking turning black, normally when he uses G2 attacks they are all embedded with Haki (best example would be the Pacifista). Luffy actually naming it Busoushoku:Koka when his skin turns black highly suggests that it is just a special technique or way to use Busoushoku.
Here is a link to the thread where i explained it a bit more in detail
I agree that Luffy embeds his attacks with haki all the time, even without hardening. This can mean that the hardening is advanced form of CoA. In chapter 681, he used a Jet Pistol against Caesar and it hurt him.

Edit: Even his surprise punch in the previous chapter….
Yeah you guys may be right. It seems there are like two types of COA haki,
This probably has been posted before, but I think Doflamingo is a possible "D". Dofla has 90% of a "D" quality. He tends to smile (in fact, that is the only expression he has shown so far), he talks about the age of 'smile', has a carefree personality, and most importanly, he got a "D in his name. Well the last one was a bit random, but don't you think the "Do" in "Doflamingo" sounds random as well? Not to mention WG has (intentionally?) misspelled a certain pirate's name once.
HEY!!! I posted that in the dumb theories thread; but hey whatever its not like it matters…unless its correct.
There's a reason we haven't seen Doflamingo's eyes yet, and that reason has something to do with his 'power'. If there's nothing 'blocking' his eyes (like glasses), then, his power's 'full potential' activates.
@The:

The same could apply for Vergo. :ninja:

Vergo's glasses might not come off, because, maybe just maybe, he's a new version Pacifista.
During His fight with smoker vergo will try to destroy the SAD but franky would of transfered it to sunny

hum i like that theory. Sanji and Law's remarks after attacking Vergo could be interpreted as if there's more to him.
Two theories, although maybe they belong in the Dumb Predictions thread:
1. Roger was not as kindhearted as Luffy (or anyone else) currently views him, and may actually have been quite evil
2. By the end of the series, every crewmember will have some form of King or Queen title (already have Pirate King (to be), SogeKing, Soul King) (this is the dumber one)
@The:
Vergo's glasses might not come off, because, maybe just maybe, he's a new version Pacifista.
I first thought this was ridiculous but now I'm starting to grow fond of the idea. When he's been attacked by sanji and law he's shown little damage and moves almost robotic. Plus this would seem like the next step up for pacifistas that they've been talking about, Imagine Pacifista technology on a Marine Vice Admiral who can use Haki and Rokushiki and possibly has a devil fruit, that'd be some serious new power for the marines

Yeah, but if he's able to use Haki, he has to be the "original model", much like Kuma.

1. Roger was not as kindhearted as Luffy (or anyone else) currently views him, and may actually have been quite evilTheory one is already kinda confirmed to be true, Garp said Roger wiped out an entire countries army by himself just because they made fun of one of his crew mates. Just like when Lucci was young he wiped out a pirate crew and a countries army just because they surrendered. That shows that Roger isn't like Luffy who will only defeat you and leave, Roger kills his opponents example “killer giant" he stabbed him in the skull.

When was this said… I most certainly don't remember Roger killing an entire country cause they made fun of his crew, it seem very oppisite of shanks and Luffy's sometimes you can take the beating
and the Killer Giant is filler, the never actually happened, nor the entire bar scene, the only ones they said he killed was squards crew, who were pirates
I think you need to check the manga out, filler doesn't count

Garp told Dadan of Roger destroying a whole country for that reason. Maybe not killing them all but still causing a great deal of chaos.

okay thanks…. sorry for my ignorance! sorry Tomatosoup!
now I'm gonna go read that part!
Okay this is a bit scattered, I apologize in advance.
My theory is that Strawhats will return to the Fishman Island and their actions will bring fismen and merfolk to the surface, because there were left a few cliffhangers, like madam Shyarly's prediction about Luffy destroying the island and the story behind Noah. Though the idea sounds trolling, I'd say it seems pretty realistic.
I can't say for sure when it could happen or what would be the situation in the OP world at the time, but one possibility is the thing what Luffy said in the Fisman Island: after beating Big Mom he would claim the island under his protection, which could mean he has to go back to the island.
This tiny prediction of mine can sound pretty far-fetched, but here we go:
Strawhats might find the Joy Boy's "heir" (consciously or not) and this character could even be traveling with them, like Vivi did back in the start of the Grand Line. When they reach the island (dunno who could coat their ship, but anyway) there would happen some serious action in the island, possibly leading to the same situation as predicted by Shyarly. At some point the "heir" and Poseidon (aka Shirahoshi) would meet and the "heir" would compensate Joy Boy's broken promise by guiding Poseidon to use her powers to raise the Noah, but since there are yet unknown things about Joy Boy and the Void Century, it's hard to tell anything else.
So yeah, that's about it and I'm off to bed.
Hopefully this gets some thoughts, I'm really eager to hear what you guys think about my first serious post :D

i wouldnt discount that theory, its possible the strawhats will come back to fishman island…its just below the red line so they really wont have to sail around again, they just have to sail back...and i like the joy boy "heir" and shirahoshi meeting thing.
my take on the sharley theory are any of these....
1. the prophecy had already been fulfilled, with luffy destroying noah, he "symbollically" destroyed FI and its history.
2. at the final battle, which is prolly in mariejois, which is on the top of red line, lufy might cause the red line to crumble and below it is the FI so red line falling down means the FI will get destroyed as well.
It's not a bad idea that Mariejois would be somehow linked to FI's possible destruction. If Fishman Island was ruined along with Mariejois, the merfolk and fishmen would've already been surfaced 'cause Oda is not evil enough to kill an entire nation, as far as I could hopefully understand him.
But whatever is going to happen, I'll keep watching things with a high interest.
And thank you for your opinion, I'm really happy to read it (:
So… I got thinking about Buffalo, the member of Doflamingo's 'gang'. Maybe he has a Paramecia DF to do with momentum and force. For instance: The faster and longer he is jogging or running the more force (damage) he 'hits' you with, and the harder it is to bring him to a stop (momentum); kinda-sorta like The Juggernaut from X-Men ("I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!"). (He could also be...talented in Armament Haki, making him hit EVEN HARDER). His name is Buffalo, and I have the image of him 'stampeding' over people and through things (like Buffalo tend to do).
Luffy will die a Roger death because he took away years of his life.

not bad guess, it would be perfect for him
