I wonder what will happen to Vergo after he's been defeated (or escaped; depending on the situation). Smoker now knows about him so he's going to report him either way. Or will Vergo just call Smoker a liar and depend on his own reputation to keep his current position? He's higher ranked than Smoker apparently hence his words should weigh more. Something tells me that Vergo giving up his rank might not be very beneficial to Doflamingo and his grand scheme so I expect a rather surprising outcome at the end of the PH arc.

Like with Crocodile I imagine - Smoker will be left either trying to stop Luffy or keeping Ceaser and Vargo and the others under arrest. Smoker will then address the Marines and WG about the SH's and watch further cover ups or redirection about what happened.

Aah I'd rather have the Punk Hazard arc stay in Punk Hazard rather than it continuing to other arcs. This arc, Punk Hazard, comes off as a Little Garden arc - it's there to add more information to the Straw Hats than being a huge story. From my best guess, this New World Saga likely focuses on Big Mom, with her name and subordinates appearing throughout the New World arcs; and/or Doflamingo.

I'm leaning more to the former, though judging by the latest chapter, it seems we have another Baroque Works-esque organization.

Though he seems to be currently connected to the parents of the kids, so in turn I second guess about him having his time right now in the current arc.

I'm a little scared of how this whole underground weaponry thing is gonna work out; I'll be damned if we have another ancient weapon coming in this saga, and something similar to Baroque Works only with (former) Marines and government officials.

We may finally get the ancient weapon Uranus reveal. Doflamingo could be after Uranus, but then…it becomes too similar to Crocodile and Alabasta. Doesn't mean they couldn't make mention of Uranus, what it does and the like, though.

Oh God - Uranus was just introduced in Fishman Island right? And we still have that Joy Boy guy…

There isn't really anything wrong with this focusing on another weapon...it just seems so eh now. This whole ancient weapon thing might be a huge key in the end from what it seems like.

I do the same thing. We have CC and the kids but Doflamingo is involved but he's not where near. CC is selling a weapon and Doflamingo is involved but Vergo is watching him We have Kinemon and his son and Wano. We have brokers watching, one of whom is Big Mom's subordinates who are on their way to the Yonkou with a bomb. We have the tea party in a few days. We have Vergo and Law and the Yonkou Law mentioned along with Monet. Then we know Vergo came from Dressroza so is that next… If you can put together all this info into a singular storyline atm then you're either Oda, God, or both.

A Supernovae Saga eh? It's seems like an awesome idea; Oda already depicted what the Supernovae look like now, so we might see them earlier than I thought. I'm still up for a Doflamingo Saga.

Well, right now he's probably trying to make sand castles somewhere in the New World, but Daz keeps slicing them down and laughing at him..So I think he'll get a mini arc as a cover story…

I know he's probably into the whole underground piracy stuff, but I can't see him doing business with anyone related to Doflamingo after their little sqwabble at Marineford..But, I am surprised he wasn't shown last chapter..Like Kidd, I see him having that same reaction..

I'm thinking Law and his crew will stick with the Straw Hats for an entire arc (other than PH), until Big Mam is defeated at least. This will lead to a meeting (with clash or not) between the three strongest supernova (Kid, Law, Luffy).

It's still too early to claim that this saga is a rehash of Baroque Works.
There are some minor similarities and references, but that's it.

Also, somebody in the Movie Z thread said that the writing next to his hand is just pointing out that he wears gloves.

I guess it evens out because of how tall he is, but they look like they've gotta be at least 4 or 5 inches. Brook's shoes in the beginning of Strong World would be a better example.

Everyone needs to remember that he is a ice logia so Akainu's magma logia attacks would do more damage to him than to Ace who was a fire logia so his hands are burned that is why they're pointing out his gloves.

Regarding the glove thingy it could really be everything. A scar that's hidden in a discrete manner or a simple fashion statement. I'd be fine with either.

This makes no sense.We've seen the element of the logia user ignoring clothing.What you say can make more sense if we say that the glove on his right hand is from sea-stone (i doubt that can happen?).

It's possible - if Oda himself is making reference to the glove then there is an importance.
Also it could be from the way his arms are folded you couldn't tell what his right hand looks like or even if he had one - so perhaps it was to head off any people making "his hand is missing" statements.
