@GEPPETTOSMONSTER:
Embalming is really good and it came after Gunz Blaze West
@The:
Wow, fuck you guys, you're forgetting something
Namely that Buso Renkin was really good.
Gun Blaze West kind of wasn't? I'm really confused as to how anybody would remember that over Buso Renkin. Embalming I haven't really read much of though, but its pilot never sold me.
But Buso Renkin was really good for a series that got canceled at 10 volumes. Those 10 volumes were completely on par and occasionally totally better than Rurouni Kenshin period. It's just a shame it kind of veers off and foresees its demise around the seventh volume so it sort of has to awkwardly wrap up. It was too short to have fully lived up to all that marvelous potential.
isn't that busou renkin was writen after GBW? i mean, this is how i remember them..
RK>GBW>BR>Embalming>EMBalming….
and for me Embalming was bad.. really bad.
starting BR, Watsuki's story became really boring, his plot and execution were not creative anymore, the plot is linear but felt like it all over the place, his art-style improved but the drawing became more and more stiff, the characters were stiff and only act on plot, not natural, lack of memorable characters design, characteristic and story.
i cannot speak of anybody else, but that was how it was for me. BR was Watsuki's last work that i read from the beginning till the end.
Elbalming, i stop after 5 or 6 chapter, maybe more.. i can't remember because except for RK, i read them all on the magazine. so, reading 1 chapter per week or monthly make me looking to much into the series. so maybe if i read them again in one go after they are all finish can give me a new perspective. like Rave.
