Does anyone have the soundtrack from episode 1? I want to listen to it without playing ^^
One Piece: Musou/Pirate Warriors - PS3

….
One Piece isn't even popular enough to warrant a disc release in the states. =(
Everybody knows this. We haven't seen a release in 4 years after all. But if people want it to get popular again they should download this from PSN this November instead of just complaining.

With no disc, and I'm assuming no advertisement being done, this game is already dead in the states before it can even start.
Only word of mouth can save this and perhaps if all goes well like you said: could mean a future disc release for future one piece games. But for now it doesn't look good, its almost guaranteed to bomb just as bad if not worse than the last one

If the game will be download only, will there be any sale numbers? I'm always looking at VGcharts for sale numbers, but do they include download games?
-
Thank you guys, i got it on my 2nd try on zoro's lvl, got the platinum now. pff took me ahwhile

It would also help if the game was good, instead of just okay.

Orochi 3 hit PSN for $50, I know I sure as hell ain't paying that for this, and digital releases takes ages to drop in price. It'll be cheaper to import from the UK in a few months, granted the UK print run is decent.
-
They're probably working on #2 as we speak.
I doubt it, they have their hands full with a ton of other projects and id expect dynasty warriors gundam 4 to be on deck for their next major release. But a sequel to this will come no doubt at some point.

Im wondering if the USA DLC would work for the EU version.

No they dont, also you must not take their numbers as gospel, they usually overtrack niche games
-

Don't think so but you can get an EU PSN Account and download from there.
Of course you'll need EU PSN cards -

Well yeah I agree, plus the replay value isn't so forgiving either.
I guess they gave no choice but to play it safe on this one

Any advice on raising one's score in level? I'd like to find a way to get at least 750 in Zoro's stages to obtain the last ten coins I need.
-
Use as much special attacks as you can and try to hit as many opponents as you can with it.
Also equip the "Owners" skill (Zeff, Crocodile, Blueno) for getting every 10 BEAT an item for SP or HP recovery so it is more likely to fill up the SP bar and the "Tears" skill (Nami, Luffy, Strawhat) for allowing you to get hit once without losing your BEAT count. Those too skills helped me alot. You can of course also equip the "Usefull Liars" (Buggy, Usopp, Jabura) skill for increasing the chance of getting higher grade coins but I guess this is just my imagination that this skill helped me. I had those three skills equipped all the time.
And when you clear a field and a leader shows up, try NOT to beat him as long as you can since the "fodder" enemies respawn.
-
Also use Robin, Chopper, Jinbe or Hancock for their blocking/countering abilities. Wouldn't believe how many times blocks saved me from losing my beat against the Pacifista (who just love to break it up)
-
Yeah tha Shaobody level is the only one giving me a hard time reaching 750! points. There are too many lasers, rokushiki users and Kizaru of course. Annoying as hell if you want to get a high BEAT count ^^
-
I just got my copy yesterday and finished the Main Log this morning. Overall I really enjoyed it aside from
! the full retard moment, where Luffy fights and beats Akainu. The game really could have done without that. I haven't watched the anime in quite some time so it was really nice to hear all of the war stuff acted out. Now it's on to completionist things like maxing all character's levels and getting all the coins.
I just realized that I forgot to play this on my Japanese profile and I imagine that the only way to play online for the friend coins is through a Japanese profile right? I really don't like the idea of not being able to finish the coin sets on my American profile.
-
Nope, you can play online with any profile (Jason and I helped get the necessary friend coins by playing each other with our main profiles AND Japanese profiles), you just won't be able to purchase any PSN items through your American profile, as usual.
Oh yeah, and the people you're playing with actually have to be registered as friends before you play in order to get the coin, so if you're not playing with AP folks but random Japanese strangers, they may see the "USA" region and bug out on you.
-
That's a relief. I'm planning on playing it on both profiles, but I would be annoyed if I could never complete the game on my main profile.

Looks nice!
But not as good as the others though … -
So apparently there's a chance for English voices?
![](http://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-L3r29lDqTRs/T5fZSkzLuaI/AAAAAAAAAdo/JgkeOIb8hG4/s520/One Piece Pirate warriors confirmed english voices.jpg)

The hat and the going merry make that outfit pretty awesome.
But still way too expensive.
-
So apparently there's a chance for English voices?
Could simply be an option to switch between text for English and Japanese.
-
Could simply be an option to switch between text for English and Japanese.
Why would a localization specifically for English have Japanese text option? Unless maybe I'm missing something; have there been other localizations that do that?
-
It's probably just a generic info box that the Twitter rep has referring to what languages are in the game, i.e. Japanese (voices) and English (text)
-
Why would Funi who have no authority at all over UK One Piece and don't do a thing at all to change that status be dubbing a UK game? It'll be for text. If they are doing it. Then yay. We can expect the DVDs/Blu-Rays soon too?
-

If it got dubbed in the US then it would be dubbed for the UK too. Not that I'm saying it will get dubbed at all.
And I'm guessing you're joking with the second question?

If that's the case he should've worded it better. Saying "English and Japanes language options" indicates the choice to change them around to your liking. But if it's simply English text and Japanese audio then there's nothing that can be adjusted…
-
English and Japanese language options.
You can play the game with English text
You can play it with Japanese text.
Option to switch there.
And if it's UK/Europe there'll be the French/Spanish/German/Italian etc option too (dunno if there's more)
-

You guys are acting like Twitter reps are personally involved with and familiar with all the gory details of games still in development and negotiations. I'm telling you, s/he probably just has a little box that says:
Title: One Piece Pirate Warriors
Platform: PS3
Players: 1-2 (online enabled)
Languages: English, Japanese
Content Rating: Pending -
I wasn't ruling it out. I never considered it an official announcement one way or the other since it's just a Twitter page.
-
wouldnt it be like dynasty warrior 7? the menu is in english and you can switch the voice from eng to jap. you need to download the jap voice first tho.
-
I'm liking the coin system. It's kind of like a fan quiz. Finishing all the combos is going to be fun. Most of the sets that I have left seem to be for coins that I haven't gotten.
You were right about Japanese people leaving matches as soon as they see the "USA" by my name Stephen. Some have been good sports and played a full round, but for every one guy that will play with me ten wouldn't. I'm not entirely sure what they are worried about.
-
If anyone is still unsure, I sent an e-mail to Namco-Bandai UK a few weeks back asking whether the game will be full retail or digital-only and I got the answer a few days back. It'll be full retail.

Yes but your Location says Germany.
Europe gets retail release and North America gets only PSN release because Sony doesn't allow games to be published without english voices.C'mon people, this "debate" is getting repetitive.

Yes, for EUROPE.
Not for North America.
-
I'm about ready to just close this thread if that misconception is just going to pop up every third post, its getting tiresome fast.
And I would, if not for the DLC still being released.
-
In other news. The listing is up on amazon. Pretty cheap
Note: THIS IS FOR THE UK. NOT AMERICA.
Ah. Shopto has it for release on 4/10/12

October release? I could get this for my birthday then.
Just noticed this is gonna be my first PS3 game since the Genesis Collection and the first since they redesigned the cases.

Well, I said I sent one to Namco Bandai UK. I thought that made it clear I was talking about Europe. I just wanted to show the people still unsure that it's definitely getting a retail release.

Wow, only 30,– in the UK? On amazon.de it costs 60€. I might actually get the UK version for that price.
Here is the link for the german version pre-order:

Pre-ordered. Cannot wait!!

Probably just 60€ because for the possibility to pre-order it. Amazon.de always make it this way when they don't know the actual price.
When I pre-ordered Lollypop Chainsaw there the price was also 60€ but is now about 50€. The price sure will drop before it is released -

Not sure if this is really news but, IGN has One Piece: Pirate Warriors listed to be shown by Namco Bandai at E3, could this support it being dubbed?

It could support that it's being shown off at E3 to try and gain more interest.

i'm so behind in the game i didn't no lifed on it cause i've been busy with life damn >_< -

Well this is kinda nice. Glad that I didn't bought any DLC till now.
Just a little bit annoyed that the full set price is 3200. 3000 would be perfect, would have needed just a 3000 Yen PSN card.
Well whatever -
that's good. If they do that for here i might be more tempted to buy them
