Tomorrow I'm starting a new idea of mine I had a while back. Each month, I'll invest myself into a new hobby and try to learn the ins and outs of it and try to excel in it to the best of my ability.
For March, it's going to be playing cards.
For April, it's going to be Chess.
For May, it's going to be Go (that old chinese game).
For the rest of the months… to be determined. =P
Anyways, with playing cards, I want to learn various card games and tricks, and other neat little secrets and facts about the hobby.
I chose this hobby to be first because I've noticed that a very common source of interactive entertainment with friends or possible friends is playing cards. Whether you're killing time in a waiting room or just hanging out, someone always had a deck of cards or asked for one, because they all wanted to play a sweet game they played back at home or had heard of.
So, I figured it be a nice skill to have for my social life, or any get-togethers in general that may come in the future.
So far, I'm just going off of google searches such as "Card games or tricks" and seeing what I can find, but I feel like there's a better way I can go about doing so, like maybe some of you may recommend great sites that you wouldn't normally find on a google search, or recommend some good books on said hobby.
Any of you got some recommendations?
I'm also posting this because I hope it'll motivate me further, for if I don't make any progress, I'd look like a fool xD
