Zoro is now the new Ryuma (he even used Shuusui for the killing blow). It kind of makes you wonder how widespread dragons are in the New World, and if Zoro will gain any more infamy for slaying one. As for the hazmat goons, there's no way they work for anyone else but the Government (i.e. Vegapunk) judging by their boasting that no one would notice a few pirates vanishing. Either Vegapunk and his lackeys are just not informed when it comes to the pirate world (after all, he's a scientist), or those goons just didn't notice what flag the Sunny was flying. In any case, with Brook clearly being left behind and Smoker in pursuit, there's no way people are not going to notice half of the Straw Hat crew being abducted…
As for Legs, he's clearly a Samurai. As for his Shichibukai opponent, though, I'll just let Oda tell me who it is instead of engaging in rampant speculation...
Agree with u bout the Vegapunk part. A group of pirates wouldn't give a damn about who they're kidnapping, but these guys prefer pirates, so it looks like they're governmental dudes.
But they didn't recognize SK Brook (though he didn't visit the NW on his world tour) as well as Luffy's flag. To put it in Luffy's words:"Maybe they're just stoopid."
Bout Smoker finding Brook:
Maybe Smoker gets back the kidnapped 4, so he can use them as bait 4 Luffy. On the other hand that'd imply that no one of those 4 could beat Smoker. IDK how this turns out if Smoker is involved.
Bout Law not being a shichibukai:
IMO the wg choose their shichibukais just by the pirates' fame and strength. After the war 3-4 spots have been empty and Marineford was done for. They might have been desperate. They seemed to have even chosen Buggy (though his bounty is really low for GL-standard and he was in Roger's crew).
They also once chose Ace though IDK if they knew back then that he was Roger's son.
What speaks against Law in the end?
Jinbe also was in a crew whose captain ran wild in MJ and freed a load of slaves though they wanted to fix the relation between humans and merfolk.
But they can't be fuddy-duddy when they have to choose a shichibukai IMO.
