I've been looking for some store to order volumes from for quite some time, as the delivery to Russia usually costs more than the book itself. And despite that www.bookdepository.co.uk is labeled as "Free worldwide delivery" in reality there are a number of countries they don't deliver to.
So I just wanted to share with folks as unlucky as me the website called www.aphrohead.com. They have volumes 01-56 and most of them for £5.75 which is about $8.9. In my case the delivery took about 20 days, and all volumes are packed and shipped individually, so it doesn't make a difference if you order just one volume or a bunch of them. So far I've got only 3 volumes from them, and I didn't have any issues so I'm quite happy. Shame they don't have color walks though. :(

Everybody should buy Color Walk 2 so Color Walk 1 gets a reprint and the possibility for the other Color Walks and the databooks increase. Hell, everyone should buy two (and it is really awesome to see all the color spreads).

Damn right!! I already ordered color walk 2, and it will come march 7! i cant wait!!!
-
I think color Walk 2 is very much worth it.
While you may not re-read it or go back to it as often as an actual manga volume, there is a more limited supply of any art book. If you want a particular volume in a few years, you'll still be able to access it easily. On the other hand, color walk 1 goes for a lot more nowadays than it did when it first came out. The same is likely to happen for Color Walk 2. So if you're at all interested in owning the color walks, the best time to buy them is when they first come out.
The likelyhood of Color Walks 3, 4, and 5 is also likely dependent on sales of Color Walk 2.
I picked up both CW2 and Volume 60 from B&N last week. It's worth mentioning that I picked up the last copy of volume 60 and it was only January 1st.
-
Eh, I don't really care if the CW's don't sell. The manga is what I want. I am just importing the CW's because they are just art, you can read translations of the interviews online. Hell, I got CW 5 back when I was in NYC last year and it being Japanese isn't really that bad.
-
Picked up the SJ at Walmart upon seeing Luffy on the cover. And all those colorspreads printed on decent paper. I'm tempted to tear one out and stick it on the wall since the rest of the magazine isn't worth keeping around.

Alexis Kirsch already said on twitter that Color Walk 1 won't be getting a re-print. And neither will CW2 after it goes out of print. But, things can always change. You guys should still buy it regardless. And especially if you love _One Piece_ artwork. Aside from the fact that I love the artwork I also bought CW2 because of Stephen Paul's translations. And whenever I say that, people always think I'm saying that I bought it FOR Stephen's sake, but I bought it BECAUSE it's Stephen's translations. Which are superb.

Now, is that true even if Color Walk 2 sells a buttload?

but he did said that if many people ordered CW1 at B&N they will do a reprint, which I think will happen in the future since the One Piece fan base is growing faster this days,,
remember, me myself only become a fan last year, and I didnt catch up the CW1 since it was released 2005, I was too late to have it..
also there are many Bleach and Naruto fans that still dont know One Piece,
also One Piece still aint number 1 in america,,, Naruto is,,, if One Piece did make a number 1 spot in america im sure there will be a reprint of CW1I was a Naruto fan, until my classmate convinced me to watch one piece, after that I became a huge fan, if it werent for my classmate… I would still be a naruto fan and still thinks that One Piece is Dumb - I know many people who still thinks this.
-
You have to remember that a most of those buyers are more casual fans and wouldn't actually care for an artbook.
-
I ended up getting Color Walk 2 after all. My local B&N got some in stock and I just had to buy it or forever regret not being able to have one. I enjoyed most the sketches and the Early Days pictures. Here's hoping Viz will do more stuff like this in the future if this sells well. What I would really like to have is Oda's one shot collection 'WANTED!'.
-
Does anyone here know when Volume 63 is supposed to come out on digitally?
VIZManga.com should definitely put up a release date schedule up on their main page.
-
Yep, hopefully 63 and 64 come out this week with the chapters not in volume format yet come out the week after in some sorta combo pack.
-
Just picked up volume 60 and color walk 2, both are excellent. I couldnt find a copy of colorwalk at first since i thought they were out, but it turns out it wasnt even near the one piece volumes but i managed to find them randomly next to the dragonball copies.
-
Yeah, the artbooks are on a separate shelf with the other artbooks. It's weird but I can understand why.
-
Not for me. Both of my local book haunts crammed CW2 next to the regular volumes. Looks bloody weird with the varying heights, but it helps with actually finding it.

It looks like Viz released a issue 0 preview for free for Weekly SJ Alpha, I'm currently downloading it.
[http://www.vizmanga.com/search?search=Weekly+Shonen+Jump+AlphaE](http://www.vizmanga.com/search?search=Weekly+Shonen+Jump+Alpha)DIT: Is the issue downloading or working for anyone else? Doesn't seem to be working right.
EDIT 2: Volume 63 of One Piece is also online now, though that volume isn't working for me either, which is pissing me off slightly since I actually paid for this.

@Luffy#1fan
Where did you find the SJA issue? I clicked the link but don't see anything.
-
I'm not seeing any such thing
-
From Shonen Jump's Twitter account
Shonen Jump @__shonenjump__ FYI about sjalpha issue 0, we're currently experiencing issues. We'll try and get that resolved by today. -
Rats, for a second I thought you meant OP chapter 0 in Alpha. My mistake…
-
the thing is showing up in my search now… twice
edit: wait nevermind one of them was just all the chapter ones for the alpha series
-
Viz just tweeted saying the errors are because of the website I guess. They are fixing ASAP.
-
that was in reference to issues with the latest volume of One Piece I believe
-
What chapter is OP gonna start on in Alpha?
-
562 I think, the chapter coming out by scanlators this week.
-
You can also read WSJ Alpha origins, I haven't looked but I assume it's the first chapter of each series.

Is issue 0 working for you?
-
@LUFFY#1:
Is issue 0 working for you?
No, it keeps saying it's loading.
EDIT: Checked SJ's twitter. I guess it's still in the process of getting fixed. Was looking forward to reading Volume 63 and Toriko Volume 7 today :/
-
Works on my iPad now
-
Works for me now too, the chapter provided 647, which is 4(5 if you count this week) behind Weekly Shonen Jump. It does give us a nice look at how the magazine will look like.
-
Are we sure on this week's chapter being the on SJ Alpha starts at?
-
@Gourmet:

Viz just said on twitter chapter 562!
-
It's a good thing they're testing this out now and not the day of the actual release. Pretty sure everyone's sick of back tracking so much on the day of certain releases.
-
Dumb question, can you ONLY pay for Alpha through PayPal? Because the pre-order page lists various credit cards and then PayPal, which led me to assume that you can pay for a subscription soley through a credit card
EDIT: I'm a little skeptical honestly, I've never used PayPal

For some reason you keep saying 562 instead of 652.
Edit: I suppose they're just going to skip 647-651 or how does that work?

I noticed that, sorry. I guess it just got in my head.
-
The preview was quite good, but I hope that we'll get those options to zoom in and whatnot for the official release.
I should also let y'all know the sale has ended, just as vol. 63 came out. Kinda expected that…

I asked them that and then they replied! I feel cool now that other people are mentioning their post from the question I asked ^_^
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Is anyone else halting their weekly chapter reads for SJ Alpha? I plan to but may die in the wait <_> I don't kbow how I'll be able to keep calm knowing their are two other chapters online!

For those who are wondering about the quality it's 784x1145 pixels jpeg.
!
It looks great, so I totally encourage everyone to subscribe to it. Gotta figure how to do it myself though, since I'm not from US. Is it illegal to use proxy? -

I'm not sure if it's okay, but since this preview is free anyway here is a link to the whole chapter. http://www.mediafire.com/?q39qirp93p6vw14 It looks great, so I totally encourage everyone to subscribe to it. Very illegal, I have a petition going right now to get Shonen Jump Alpha in the UK, but that's all I can do right now. Petition, and show VIZ the demand. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Operation-Alpha-Shonen-Jump-Alpha-In-The-UK/202875369802750

Is there a reason to post a link for this, you know the preview is free in the US right?

I don't get what you mean…
-
Ah, that looks nice. I assume that the sound effects will be translated in the volume releases, right?
And I'm going to err on the side of caution and suggest that you remove that download link, since I'm pretty sure that that's illegal.
-
Quick question, in the sja issue, the scans look a little crappy in comparison to the ms scanlation. Is this just me, or is this how the chapters will always look in sja?
-
No, they look much better than ms scans. The greys aren't overblown and the lines are much crisper. Just look at the noah at this pics.

WOW, that's amazing looking.
I'm shocked how much better that actually looks.

There's so much detail lost in the overblown dark scans.
Just compare Noah.
Mangastream looks down right terrible in comparison.
