I've finished the main storyline of Arkham Asylum and almost all the riddles (Riddle's riddles, Joker's teeth, Spirit of Arkham, etc). I only need to find one more Spirit of Arkham (no, not the one on the ground of the Control Room). It seems that the secret map I found said that it's in the room-where-you-can't-use-the-grapple-because-the-building-is-too-old in Botanical Gardens, but I can't find it, even though I already on the "?" sign on the map. Can anyone tell me how to find it?
THE GODDAMN BATMAN: Arkham City

-
First go stand in the place where you solved the question mark riddle.
To the north of you, there is a ledge. Run, jump, and grab it. Then move left, climb up. It should be there.
I can go into more detail if this isn't enough to help, as this was just from me booting up my game and going to find it.
I'm sure a place like gamefaqs could be more specific.
-
That robin looks horribly uninspired. I hate it. But I notice a lot of "fans" hate Robin, or don't want him in this game. I'll never understand why people want batman to remain solo.
We've had this discussion before so it's probably best not to get into it but the reason is this:
That group of people has never read comic books in their lives (at least Batman ones) and their only exposure to Robin is from the live-action things (tv, movies) where he sucks and is a waste of space. Therefore, if he sucks there, Batman solo most obviously be the best and only way.
As for why Robin is in this game, I bet WB pressured Rocksteady to put him in.
Now if there's a Nightwing DLC….I may need to get that one instead. As long as he looks similar to this:
I don't like the new design they made for him at all (the one with red).

You actually booted up your game and went to that area to help him? I gotta tell you you're awesome for that, not many people would go out of their way for that.
I still can't make up my mind if I want to replay the game on Hard before City. It was a great game yeah, but not one I care to replay. I'd get a trophy for it, but considering I've long put AA's platinum out of the realm of possibilities for me due to the challenges, it wouldn't really be motivational. I got tons of games I need to beat as is already.
-
I may have already been playing through some challenge maps at the time…more specifically the one where it's just an endless wave of enemies..and that may or may not have had everything to do with my generosity....
You should totally play it again though. I actually found the game to be more enjoyable on my second play through.
And the only challenge that's really tough is Shock and Awe (Extreme) but the more you play it, the better you get with the combat.
The way I did it was to get my combo meter up quickly and then instant takedown and of the prisoners that have to be stunned, and then I hit a couple more people, and then just batarang everyone and ground takedown them all. If people get to close I'd just batclaw them and evade over them so that they fall down and then I can still ground takedown. The only difficult part is time management. But, as long as you don't get flustered easily, you should be able to beat it.
One other thing, in the first round, if you can get the full variation bonus, that help's a ton.
All the other challenges are decent. If you struggle with any of the predator ones, there are videos online to help, and the other challenging combat one is Rumble in the Jungle (extreme) but because of a glitch with the titans, it's incredible easy to get the points, even if somewhat time consuming.

Thanks a lot Akumu! I actually already made an attempt to get to that ledge, but I was doing with by using a certain gadget.
Anyway, here are the official box art for Arkham City:
Also Batman: Arkham City was voted as Digital Spy's Game of E3 2011 and won!

And I love the cover art. Fantastic decision to use black and white except for the blood and title. Total eye candy for me.
-
So the boxart that was posted earlier was a prototype? That was a short lived prototype. The cover would be perfect to me if Batman didn't have his fist raised. He's kneeling on the edge of a rooftop overlooking… it seems very unnatural for him to have his fist up like that. It's like he just saw something and he went "Oooh, why I oughtta!" If he had a Batarang in his hand, then it'd make sense. But... he doesn't.
takes boxart seriously
On a second glance, he looks like he's pissed at the logo.

Batman came to Arkham City to do two things: chew bubblegum and kick ass.
And he's all out of bubblegum.

So, anyone else here read the most recent Arkham City comic issue (#3)?
It was REEEAAAALLLY good.

Got a link to read it for free?

Here's the full E3 demo.
Those backwards bits of audio you hear are to mask spoilers. Thing is, this seems to take place at the very beginning of the game, if not THE beginning. So I dunno what spoilers they're trying to hide.

Lookin' good as usual, but I personally hope Two-Face does more in the game than just that scene, although I feel that Dr. Strange and Joker are going to be the main villains.
-
The Riddler seems like he's going to be playing a major role, too.
-
Hmm…I still need to get the first one...along with a new ps3.

Rrrrg, NO! my local comic shop sold out of it before I got there >_>
-
I watched a video where Batman save a guy from Riddle's death machine. It's on YouTube somewhere, but I can't find it now.
Also, Riddle looks a lot like Hugh Laurie

Am I the only one who thinks Batman's voice sounds a little off in the first five minutes?
-
All right. I couldn't find the video that I was talking about, but I got something even better!!! (kind of… I think...)
-
That stage guy's quite enthusiastic, ain't he?

He was paid to be enthusiastic.
And here's a concept art for AC Robin:
-
hm… I like the hood. But it doesn't help that you put AC, because I thought it stood for Assassin's Creed for a second, which is exactly what this looks like.
I just wish he had hair though. I read on 4chan that they wanted him to look like a guy that does cage fighting in his spare time.
All I ask is why?
-
Wonder how they're gonna handle the hostage deathtraps. Surely if you fail to save them they'll give you the option to retry.

- Premium Statue produced by Kotobukiya
- Batman: Gotham Knight
- Art-book
- Exclusive early access to the Iceberg Lounge Challenge Map and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns skin DLC.
- Soundtrack
It'll also probably include all the retailer exclusive pre-order incentives. I hope the statue isn't made into the box like it looks.
-
Wonder if I'll be able to upgrade. I already preordered it and paid in full at Gamestop.
-
I'll just buy the regular edition, I heard the little batarang you got in the CE of arkham asylum was a hunk of crap.
-
Looks like beating the game won't be the end of the game. The game will be getting episodic DLC (similar to L.A. Noire) according to Kevin Conroy: http://arkhamcity.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3671

Talia being voiced by Stana Katic
plus Penguin trailer with Solomon Grundy
-
Talia looks freaking terrible but Penguin is AWESOME!
-
Yeah, I don't even know the character or have ever seen her before, but that design is ass.
-
. . . . . . . . by Talia I assume you mean Talia Al Ghul? Isn't she supposed to be Middle Eastern? Or at least brunette?
Who is voicing Penguin? It sound familiar.
And oohhhhhhh shit.
! Solomon Grundy. Damn.
-
WHAT? Talia's a blond? What? Timmy Drake's a cage fighter, and Talia looks American… I have no words.
Okay... I can't hate on the penguin henchmen.. those masks are adorable.
-
I'm hoping Talia isn't here just to be someone Catwoman fights.
-

Well we know Batman can't fight her.

I have no beef with Talia's design.
However, the Penguin's trailer is ZOMGWTFBBQ. I hope he has a larger presence in the game rather than just restricted to one level.

Being the strapping young lad that I was back in the day (AHA! Now there's a joke!) and spewing money out of my fingertips, I bought the CE of Arkham Asylum, and… was disappointed.
The casing was neat, but the Arkham Journal just had sketches of the characters that you'd have already seen on their character bios in the game, and a lot of the notes were just well-known facts (if you're a big Batman fan) about the characters.
And the batarang confused me. Once I got it out, I noticed it was all scratched up... like, everywhere. I thought it was used and that maybe someone had actually tried throwing it, but then I realized that they probably did that design on purpose. Y'know, to make it look like as if it had been thrown by Batman.

Solomon Grundy,
Born on a Monday,
Christened on Tuesday,
Married on Wednesday,
Took ill on Thursday,
Grew worse on Friday,
Died on Saturday,
Buried on Sunday.
This is the end

Preorder at GameStop and you get the exclusive Batman Beyond skin.
Lol, I'm trying to get hired at GameStop and I already sound like a GameStop tool.
-
That… looks weird. Maybe because I'm used to Batman Beyond's art style, but it looks off.
-
DAMMIT! You're telling me now I have to choose between Robin and Batman Beyond!? NOT FAIR!

Curious. Is that only in tha UK?
Tool eh? It's really how you handle the customers. But a job is a job. I've never understood the undercurrent of animosity towards gamestop's clerks.
-
That ad is for the UK, but I highly doubt it's a UK exclusive.
-

It looks weird because Terry never had a build like that outside of that one episode of JLU.
-
In the first episode, Bruce was wearing the suit til he realized he was too old for the job.
-
Oh yea forgot that.
-
Yeah but you could never see the muscle lines, I kind of like that he was completely BLACK. I think I'm going to have to go with Robin.
