What One Piece Villians do you think are dead?
-
-
Kuro's still alive. In the anime, anyway.
That dude Buggy blasted with the Buggy Ball is dead…ummmm...
And Higuma is dead.
-
"That dude Buggy blasted with the Buggy Ball is dead…ummmm..."
Does that even fall under "villians"? Its been awhile sense I seen Buggy Arc so I wouldn't know.
-
well when you made the thread when you were talking villians you meant as in Arlong,Crocodile,Enel and etc. against the strawhats right ? he was no threat to them and they didn't even know about him hehe i got kind of confused "since" is the word but since all he did was get buggy pissed then nahh.
-
The main rule in series like this is that you shouldn't presume a major character is dead unless you actually see a body.
-
That's a confusing subject
The only thing I know about that rumored SBS is that Oda once said that Luffy never killed anyone, (at least, until that SBS time, Iâ€m not sure…) since destroying a pirates†dreams and honor is worst than death or something like that…
I think Arlong is dead, if he survived the fall he was killed after that by the marines…
Crocodile was arrested, probably killed or heâ€s in a really bad condition now.
Don Krieg is dead! I mean, his weapons were destroyed, there is nothing much left on his crew and if he tried entering Grand Line (as I think he did), he couldnâ€t survive longer than a couple of days… and Iâ€m sure that Gin is dead too, the poison gas thing…
But there's not much we can discuss, itâ€s Oda, after all everything is possible, if he wants a character to live, it will live, maybe ignoring every logical rule.

Oda said: Krieg and Arlong are not dead.
Croc's fate is unknown.
…
Most of the people Zoro fights get killed by him. The few exceptions are in Skypiea and the DBF. East Blue could be cited as virtually an exception, but only because Zoro really didn't fight too many people.
-
Oda said: Krieg and Arlong are not dead.
Really? Arlong is my favorite villain, so thatâ€s great! I hope to see him again soon
-
if we see him again it maybe at jinbei's location unless the marines caught him
-

Well, he's on Buggy's team, and Buggy is a villain…
I just figured.
-
Bellamy is dead, has to be.
-
Well I thought a lot of villians were dead but after Luffy defeated Arlong it showed all of the enemies looking at his wanted poster. I then thought Arlong was dead but right on this site I saw a picture of Nami using her litle fireball attack on him and everybody knows Nami doesn't get her clima tact until they are in the grand line.
Also Oda said himslef in manga #4, "The reason Luffy doesn't kill is this: In his era, men live by their beliefs and risk their lives to defend them. Luffy shatters the beliefs of his enemies by defeating them. For them to suffer defeat and to have their beliefs destroyed is as bad as death. Killing their bodies is beside the point. I feel that, as pirates, Luffy and his enemies care more about vicotory and defeat than they care about their lives."
So maybe no enemies never die, they just get really hurt.

Does that mean that only people with ome kind of dream won't die hen? All of the villians in east blue has an ambition. Croc and eneru had one as well. but CP9 Doesnt really. So perhaps they will die?**

I really wouldn't know. I just read the manga and posted.

Which is part of the reason I think Bellamy died.
Its symbolic, people who live for petty things and not grand dreams just fade away from existance. Like they never really lived in the first place.
As for CP9, Luchi might die, hes too damn cool to NOT die. -
You know? Luffy is one of those people who doesn't care whether people die or not. As long as he gets to beat the villain up, he's glad. And he wouldn't even hestitate to hurt someone. It's as if you tell him, "Hit me!" And he hits you. In most animes, the main character usually doesn't want to hurt people, and will just forgive him/her instead. Yoh from Shaman King is a good example; not wanting to hurt people.

I just got to the very end of the Arlong Arc in the manga and I noticed something, in the manga Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Axe his Arlongs stomech/back, not neck or shoulder:
http://groups.msn.com/OnePieceMangav-3/volume11.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=2127
But I dought this changes anybodys mind.
-
Oda said: Krieg and Arlong are not dead.
Really? What interview did he say this in?
I think Bellamy's dead, obviously. I saw Doflamingo do it through Sarquiss. As far as death goes, I go by the Horror movie cliche of "If you didn't see them die, they're probably still alive. And even if you see a corpse, it's no absolute guarantee." Ok, ok, maybe not the last part, but you know what I mean.
-
I agree with most of the conclusions here, and as a rule, I doubt Luffy has killed anyone; not even small fry (outside of movies anyway).
That doesn't mean I wan't/hope the villains come back; I really can't see why people wish for this. I can understand it with the funny ones, such as Buggy and Foxy, but to have Arlong or Croc return? I mean, their defeats were epic. They were definite. It would kind of ruin it if they got back for a rematch.
Still, that's just my opinion. -
Bellamy is dead, has to be.
Pretty much my opinion. That guy just has to be one head shorter now.
And I agree with TheDaz, guys like Arlong and Crocodile shouldn´t never return in the actual story. If they appear in flashbacks again then it´s ok, but no return for a rematch. It would completely ruin the last epic moments we´ve seen with them.
-
I like the concept of Arlong returning, perhaps begging at the feet of Jinbei after his failure.
-
I then thought Arlong was dead but right on this site I saw a picture of Nami using her litle fireball attack on him and everybody knows Nami doesn't get her clima tact until they are in the grand line.
Do you mean this image?
If so, its from the videogame, One Piece Land Land! and that animation has everyone fight their "nemesis" in the order of villains we've met. Zoro vs. Cabaji, Usopp vs Kuro, Sanji vs Krieg, Chopper vs. Warp, etc etc. I'm sure its safe to say this game isn't canon to the series since we have Buggy's tent and Arlong Park next to each other. ^^;
-
Now theres an interesting question, after all Nami has been through could she put up a fight with Arlong?
-
I certainly hope so. I was getting sick of her playing the "damsel in distress" card so many times. It's really an insullt to such a smart character like that. (Usopp is at least funny when he does it.)
I think she could take him now. He doesn't strike me as the smartest villain in the world, so she could defeat him using her head.
-
Well you have to think, Arlong owned Sanji and Zoro with water and Luffy had alittle trouble aswell. I highly dought Nami would have been able to do anything to Arlong back then, she only had a normal staff back then aswell.
-
I know, I know. I meant currently.
-
Arlong may be dead, but I think it's possible he's alive. if anything the Marines Have him. Arlong and Crocodile are the only 2 Villans Luffy could have WANTED to kill. (Could have) I think it's Possible Luffy only had intent to kill on those 2 since A) they both Oppressed a whole Island of People (even if Alabasta is bigger) and B) Both of them put one of Luffy's Nakama into emotional Agony (Nami and Vivi, who the Image of them holding up their arms at the end of Alabasta shows, is part of the Crew)
in My oppinion, if Croc is Dead, The Marines Prolly Killed him, Not Luffy. they'd Want to keep him as quiet as possible about the poneglyphs and Luffy's Beating him and Escaping. and, to quote another Pirate Story "silent as the Grave" plus Smoker Said he was alive
Bellamy was just there to show how Mad Luffy can get. he wasnt that Major of a Character. then Dolflamingo killed him. Shichibukai Doesnt seem like a name you'd get for letting people live. For Example, Crocodile Killed Luffy. (Or, would have if Robin hadnt Showed up all convinient-like) You dont Impale Somoene like that and Expect them to live. -
Sense when does any villian want Luffy to live?
-
Maybe Arlong and crocodile went to Enies Lobby. That would be very amusing
-
A thought just came to my mind maybe the only reason Luffy's never killed a opponent such as Crocodile or Arlong was that he didn't have the strength to finish them off at the end of the battle. When he went against Crocodile he had blood smeared all over his body and earlier on he passed out cause of the lost of blood also he was poisoned during the battle with Croc So I know he wasn't at full strength.
And with Arlong maybe the final bite to the gut took him off guard and he lost a little focus when he put down the finishing strike.
And another theory is that he didn't have enough strength in the first place to keep some major foes down. It just came down to stamina and who would go down first from a long grueling battle.
Well thats just my 2 cents:steve:
-
Doubt that Luffy wasn't at full strength when he took out Arlong and Although he wasn't completely at his full strength he stll did triple the amount of damage to an already battered Crocodile.
FYI not realizing til now I think Luffy using the Gomu Gomu no Axe on Arlong wasn't completely intentional since Luffy's leg was already raised before Arlong charged at him.
-
It wasn't, I'm pretty sure he was trying to destroy the room and thats when Arlong stepped in.
-
probably erik from the apis arc, i mean man he is a devil fruit user and he fell in the reverse mountain waters,
thats like 0% survival -
Well…he was filler so he don't count. ODA PREVIALS! XD
-
I have to say that Crocodile was probably dead before he hit the floor. Luffy pounded him though SOLID BEDROCK! You generally don't survive something like that. Even Luffy himself would have a hard time surviving that. I also believe Arlong is dead. .I kinda like to think the villagers ate all the merman at the party XD
But yeah until I see proof otherwise, you will not convince me that Croc survived that and if he did, he's going to be messed up the rest of his life.
-
@Sonique:
and if he did, he's going to be messed up the rest of his life.
Yes, he most likely is. Again, you don't arrest a corpse, you call a priest and throw it in a hole.
-
@Sonique:

Can you eat a merman.:molly: Sounds like a good idea if Luffy finishes off Jinbe.
-
If there is ANYONE who Luffy COULDNT have Killed, it was Crocodile. Smoker Said they ARRESTED Crocodile. if he is dead now, the Marines Executed him
STOP SAYING LUFFY KILLED HIM BY PUNCHING THROUGH THE BEDROCK!!! -

STOP SAYING LUFFY KILLED HIM BY PUNCHING THROUGH THE BEDROCK!!!You know I didn't mean to offend I was just stating my opinion. When did Smoker say they arrested him? I don't rememeber him saying that. If you can show me though, I'll back down ;).. not to mention IM pretty sure this is the first time I've ever said he was killed by going though the bedrock.
As for when they sorta read Crocodile his rights…. well I kinda saw it like this . At a funeral, or after someone dies, sometimes people will talk to the corpse even though they can't hear. I kinda see it like that.. soorta

@Smoker:Alright, Bring the Prisoner on Board
PRISONER! If he was dead he wouldn't be a Prisoner, he would be a Body. You don't arrest a Corpse.
and you are the first to say "smashed through the Bedrock" but plenty have said that Luffy's attack simply killed him without Going into detail on it -

Chapter 211, from Stephen.
Tashigi:
In the name of the World Government-controlled "Marine Headquarters",
I call upon the "enemy seizure warrant" clause
to strip you of all government-granted
titles and rights. That would be pointless of he were dead.
-
I coulda sworn I replied to this
well I meant to and I meant to say "Ahh so they do say that… well then he's alive but Im sure he's so messed up he can't do any more evil"
-
If Crocodile being arrested wasn't enough for you guys take a look at the cover of the lastest chapter, it also proves Zoro did not kill Daz Bones.
-
Those are some big ass fingers Daz bones has.
And the greatest villain, Crocodile looks so defeated and pathetic it'll make any Croc fan weep. ='(
-
Are you kidding? He and his former agents are the only ones that wear handcuffs and yet before their feet large defeated guys are laying around and the rest of the prisoners are scared to death.
Even imprisoned Crocodile looks majestic. He´s still is the biggest of One Piece.
-
Seeing Mr. 4 is in there too and judging by the lack of Merrychristmas and Doublefinger, I'm obviously guessing the BW agents are split between males and females. (Obviously) Hmmm, if they beat those prisoners up then I doubt those cuffs are made of Seastone. Either that, or they really can kick ass without the use of their DF powers. (Latter seems more likely. Unless the Marines are dumb enough to not give Croc a pair of Seastone cuffs.)
-
Wonder if they are holding his Hook in another jail cell. XD
Hey! Theres an interesting sidestory "The Adventures of Crocodiles hook".
-
Hahaha,that would be awesome.
The Adventures of Crocodile as he attempts to get his hook back.
