I just hope they change or improve the gameplay/combat system.
Raikage and Zabuza has me hype but…really just make the gameplay more interesting ^_^;
They could at least wait until the series ends before doing another game…........ugh but the money.
Hey at least you can now do powerbombs to all the characters you hate.

this made me very happy.
Gee I sure hope they bring back some semblance of balance that and go back to the Adventure mode of the first game.
Everytime I see a trailer for Naruto games, I cry wanting a One Piece game like this(art/combat system style)… anyway the games looks cool, I haven't played a Naruto game since PS2 times but I always want to cry when I see dem trailers, atleast for this one and one that came out last year, the games looked pretty neat.
These are expensive, high budget games. You can see from their production values that they went all out. The gameplay may be simple and not very exciting, but they used resources to do this.
It's kinda sad when it's One Piece counterpart are Wii mid-budget games and a DS game that has an incredibly lackluster character roster, and a shallow gameplay.
Being the top selling manga in the States sure pays off. . .more than being the top selling manga in Japan. . .
Kinda funny how all the good looking Naruto stuff doesn't come from Kishimoto.
The only problem with the first ninja storm is that it didn't have Killer Bee, Deidara, or the Raikage in it.
The problem with the second is that it is a monument to the worst half of Naruto.
This game promises to fix both of those problems.
The only problem with the first ninja storm is that it didn't have Killer Bee, Deidara, or the Raikage in it.
Unnecessary Early Bird Cameo.
The problem with the second is that it is a monument to the worst half of Naruto.
Almost everybody I know seems to prefer CyberConnect's interpretation of the first few shippuden arcs to Kishimoto's and the anime's version.
Damn, imagine a OP game from them.
I agree on the notion that they should have waited a bit, but hey, $$$.
Well Op has to be as popular as Naruto around the world.
I think RPG and fighting are the genres that fit One piece the most. The team that made UNS surpassed a lot of scenes in the anime.
I am curious on how they would handle cutscenes for the Marineford arc.
Are CyberConnect2 working on any other games besides Naruto fighters?
Why are all OP games on Nintendo consoles anyway (not that I'm hating or trying to be flaming, just wondering)?
The team that made UNS surpassed a lot of scenes in the anime.
the scenes yeah but the soundtrack in the game didn't match the feel of the scenes in the anime.
case in point
luckily that's what editing is for.
now if they only did that in the actual game.
I personally like the sad and nostalgic tone of the UNS series.
From what I've seen so far its just storm 2 with new characters, they haven't upgraded the fighting system in anyway.
But i'll still buy it anyway, i love storm 2, and would love more characters.
But right now I'm more excited for Impact.
Should be renamed Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 DLC.
^ If you remember what the first game's actual DLC amounted to it's really not that bad.
Should be renamed Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 DLC.
Agreed. As much as I would like to play as Raikage and Zabuza, unless they provide this as DLC, I won't be getting this one, unless i read it is a vast improvement on NS2.
Otherwise, will wait for NS3 prob.~
This game doesn't look worth getting with the news I seen (Haku and Zabuza Arc is a mode where you play a the two and fight team 7).
Another thing is that they are going with the most important fights of the series till Naruto and Sasuke meets once again =/.
As much as I hate to admit it though, at least Naruto is actually getting a fighting game this year, One Piece is begging for one and has yet to get one D':
Well i have come to agree, this should just be 1 large DLC. But i mean if its loaded with new boss fights and characters then im all in for it.
I just want UPS(Wow UPS) Ultimate Pirate Storm would be sick. But i mean i really want to play Unlimited Cruise already, but still.

new article with some new details
That article really doesnt add anything new to what we already know. Not trying to be a dick, just sayin.
I dont understand the whole Power-up thing, why would Sasuke transform into a beast?
Im probably looking into it too much, oh well, ill rent it.
This looks pretty good.
Once again though, it only makes me a little agitated that we don't have OP games of this quality.

"Fighting For One Piece" must've killed the flow of One Piece fighting games on consoles.
i may get this game, looks good
and yes there NEEDS to be a OP game like this jeez
THEY NEED TO MAKE A FREAKING ONE PIECE GAME FOR THE PS3/XBOX360 ALREADY THAT'S LIKE STORM 2 OR SOMETHING THAT COVERS THE ENTIRE SERIES ALL THE UNTIL THE TIME SKIP WITH AWESOME GRAPHICS, ONLINE, A HUGE CHARACTER ROSTER, ETC! THAT'S NOT TO MUCH TO ASK AND IT WOULD MOST LIKELY COME OUT IN AMERICA TO! ALL ANIME PS3 GAMES THAT I'V SEEN HAVE COME OVER TO AMERICA INCLUDING STUFF LIKE FIST OF THE NORTH STAR AND GUNDAM WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE HARUHI GAME! Keep in mind that i'm saying those are bad anime's (I haven't even seen ether of them) but they aren't popular anymore especially compared to stuff like Naruto. Also it should be the best anime game ever created and the most amount of effort put into it as possible! Look at Storm 2! It was a great game and one of the if not the best anime game ever created so why not make a One Piece game like that?! I mean don't you guys want to see that?! I CERTAINTY do! And if it had online all of us One Piece fans on here can fight against each other and many other One Piece fans around the world! Wouldn't that be awesome?! All of that awesomeness in one single game! Also Oda should work with them on the game since most anime games that are made without working with the creator tend to suck. Who would guys look forward to playing as most? And what should the name be? You guys are the best ones to ask something like that. Also out of all of the gaming company's in Japan that you know of, which do you think should be the one to make this game?
@Tamike:
THAT'S NOT TO MUCH TO ASK AND IT WOULD MOST LIKELY COME OUT IN AMERICA TO!
Having Omniscience must be a blast.
@Tamike:

FOTNS & Gundam being brought over here might've had something to do with the fact that they were Dynasty Warriors titles and no FOTNS and Gundam are still pretty popular in both Japan and the US.
@Tamike:
It was a great game
As an anime game it was good as a fighting game…Hell no.
I haven't played much fighting games so if you've played a lot of fighting games could you tell me what was wrong with storm 2 that made it a bad fighter? Also if its not on TV then i'm pretty dang sure its not popular. Maybe among anime fans (which I doubt even that) but not with the general public like Naruto and DBZ are. And what's Omniscience?
@Tamike:
I haven't played much fighting games so if you've played a lot of fighting games could you tell me what was wrong with storm 2 that made it a bad fighter?
Well for one Cyber Connect took out a feature from previous Narutimate Hero games where if you got hit with an Ultimate Move you could either lessen the damage you took or cancel it meaning if you're fighting someone who has an Ultimate Justu that deals massive damage you're shitfucked if you don't block or dodge. Second problem if you know how to effectively use overpowered characters like Tobi,Pein,Sage Mode Naruto,Minato, or Deidara you can walk over anybody, Deidara is the easily worst since he has a combo that's not only borderline infinite but can lead into his Ultimate Justu. Awakenings were also bad eventhough they could turn the tide of a losing battle some characters particularly the five I just mentioned cross over into god-like territory by getting buffs like increased speed,damage, or in Itachi's case Invulnerability.
@Tamike:
Also if its not on TV then i'm pretty dang sure its not popular.
To be fair being on TV doesn't necessarily make you popular either.
@Tamike:
And what's Omniscience?
Basically means you have complete and total insight, awareness, or understanding of all things including like whether or not certain games from Japan will make it to the US.
I personally didn't like that feature because then all it comes down to is who can mash the buttons faster, spin the joy stick,etc which really isn't skill. Like in storm 1 i'm not very fast with my fingers so I can never pull off ultimate's. Yeah I know being on TV doesn't always make you popular but you have a much better chance of being popular if your on TV where everyone can watch like on basic cable. Not something like Nicktoons or Disney XD. And in my experience using awakenings like Naruto's can end up screwing your self over because their hard to control and just run all over the place and sometimes can't even link combos together. This especially applys to Itachi because it just makes him a big giant target that can destroyed pretty easily. Same goes for Deidara's. Have you really had this much trouble with certain awakenings? I guess i'm ether just lucky that I haven't fought people like that or you just have some bad luck. Most of the spammers I fight spam the Rasengan, support character attacks, Deidara, Sasori, and substitution spammers. Whats a good fighting game you know and whats it like that makes it different and better than this game?
@Tamike:

When most of the people you play against like to do nothing but spam,turtle, or abuse broken characters you can't mention skill and this game in the same sentence. Though I have seen people display non-cheap tactics while playing this game.
@Tamike:

Using them no winning against them yes.
@Tamike:

Well I hear great things about Street Fighter 4 aside from Yun & Yang being overpowered but that's neither here or there.
Whats turtle mean? And can you name some guys you know on Storm 2 that spam those awakenings? I feel like slaughtering them and showing them who's boss. And I'v never played Street Fighter but I'v heard it's a really good game series. Have you ever played it?
@Tamike:
Whats turtle mean?
Playing strictly by blocking or running though I've only seen Gaara and Tobi players doing this. The awakenings that people abuse the most from my memory are Minato's,Sage Mode Naruto, and Pein's. And yes I've played Street Fighter 4 both versions including the 3DS version of "Super" which I'm backlogged on.
People use Garra? I'v never seen anyone use Garra in Storm 2 before. And how was Street Fighter 4?
It's okay not too casual friendly but okay.
@Tamike:
Whats a good fighting game you know and whats it like that makes it different and better than this game?
Now, I ain't no fightan pro, and I know there are other members much more qualified to answer this, but here I go.
Let's take SSF4, since you were talking about it. It features 3 punch buttons, and 3 kick buttons. That means that from standing still, there are 6 different normal attacks you can do. Then, 6 more for ducking. 6 more for jumping straight up, and 6 more for jumping at and angle. Right away, you're looking at 24 different moves. Throw in 2 throws, a focus attack, and a few close-range variants and forward+button moves, and each fighter has about 30 basic normal moves. and then you get into the specials, which require usually performing a quarter circle and pressing a button. or a semi-circle, or a zig-zag motion. and then we got supers and ultras.
compare to the storm series. You have a single attack button, and 5 ways of mashing it to make a combo. then some ranged attacks, supports, and jutsus. it adds up to much fewer moves.
but, why does amount of moves matter? well, the more moves the character has, the more tools they have to work with, and the more complex their gameplay can become. also, it is easier to execute the moves in Storm than in SSF4. this makes it more friendly to beginners. What it also tends to mean is that the gameplay is dumbed down, so that a higher plateau is not attainable. The metagame is only a few notches above your kid brother picking up a controller and mashing attack.
Now, none of this means Storm, or any other "simple" fighting game is a "bad" game. Storm is hella fun, and looks great. But as a deep fighting game experience, it falls woefully short.
other, "better" fighting games include Super Street Fighter 4, Marvel vs Capcom 3, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Tekken 6, and Mortal Kombat 9. The casual-ness of some of these is debatable, but they are all definitely more complex than Ultimate Ninja Storm.
Thanks. I really didn't have much knowledge of fighting games so thanks for the info. Which one of those games would you suggest getting the most? By the way I'v never played SSF4 or any game in that series ether.

I'd recommend SSF4: Arcade Edition, because it has a diverse enough roster that you're sure to find a few favorites, it has a ton of polish, and the community for it is one of the largest. You are the most likely to find other people to play if you pick street fighter, and it also allows for a lot of development in your ability. Alternatively, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is the most anime-tastic of the lot, which you might like. It happens to have a great tutorial mode.
back on topic, I found a gallery of (possibly new?) screenshots at gamespot. http://comic-con.gamespot.com/image_viewer/6324708/naruto-shippuden-ultimate-ninja-storm-generations-screens/16/?tag=thumbs_below%3Bthumb%3B4#site_nav

25% are new the other 75% look like screen shots from the existing video. No surprise that Danzo is in.

New details on Generations. Looks like story mode will be different this time around.
60 minutes of original animation? Let's hope it's quality animation…

The story mode in Generations will certainly allow players to work through the game as Naruto, but now, for the first time, other characters independent stories can be told.
Players will be able to experience the supporting cast's adventures as they run parallel and intersect with Naruto's. These stories have never been fully told before, and therefore will debut in Generations.
Apparently the second game didn't allow you to play as Jiraiya & Sasuke in the story mode [/sarcasm].
The game will have over 62 characters- http://www.saiyanisland.com/2011/09/naruto-generations-to-have-over-62-playable-characters/ Don't know about you guys buy I'll be buying this when released (Don't care what you guys say, the Ultimate Ninja games are cool).
The manga rather sucks but this game leaves me literally stunned.

Epic video is epic. This will be an amzing game.
Yeah, I may hate the manga the game it's based off of now, but damn it this game is getting better and better.
Now, the only post time-skip characters I like are Killerbee, the Raikage, and Hidan. I'm wondering how far the actual gameplay has progressed since the original Ultimate Ninja Storm, which only featured pre-time-skip characters.
Because if it's mostly the same, and hasn't deepened in any way, then I might just try and find that first one instead of paying more money for 62 characters, 30+ I don't give a shit about.
