@Conekiller:
Leela seemed OK with the mayor's wife having sex with Fry a few eps back.
That was also the episode where Fry stated that he thought robot life had less worth than human life, and Bender had to die for Fry to realize that "wait a minute! I care about Bender!"
I did not like that episode.
Anyway, I can live with the "neutral relationship" Fry and Leela have going in most of these episodes, just as long as they don't go around getting attracted to others while ignoring their partner. Come on guys, it's not like you have Lisa eating meat every other episode, is it?
Another thing I've noticed is that the shows occasional utter lack of empathy is starting to get to me; perhaps it's because it's been 6 seasons, or maybe its Fry and Leela finally being (supposedly) a couple, but at this point I'm finding it hard to maintain the notion that these characters care for each other.
For instance, I remember a joke where Fry got horribly injured, and returns from the hospital going "I spent two weeks in the hospital, and no one visited! I didn't even get a card!"
I guess I'm just way too hung up on continuity and people being in character, because I just felt that wasn't funny in the slightest. Rather, I was just incredulous. Really? Not even Leela stopped by? These guys are total assholes.
And then an episode like The Late Philip J Fry comes along and reminds me how it's supposed to be.
