@Senshi:
Okay, from the latest scans, a rumor about Chicken Little being a summon is true. Jaw drop.
That is unacceptable.

No way that is true.
It's too new.
The things I would do for a Headless Horseman summon.
Damn! I thought nothing could taint the awesomeness of this game, I was wrong. :bawling:

Come on, I don't think it'll ruin the game. I think that Square-Enix wanted to surprise us. They obviously did. But still, it was more unexpected than Auron, or the Tron world.

Awful.
Next I bet that there's a HOME ON THE RANGE world.
Um, but isn't it a game with giddy Disney characters to begin with? I don't see how one more anthropomorphized character can possibly ruin a game based on Disney o_o

Characters from the newer movies where Disney uses complete CGI instead of hand-drawn art are considered "black sheep" compared to the older movies, which are classics.
Guys, I'm sure you can go through the game without using his summon once.
When it comes out in America, I'm sure that I'll use him just out of morbid curiosity.

I'm just more disappointed thatthe makers saw him worthy to include (the same way I was disappointed with Pirates being in the game). I'm sure that getting/using his summon is optional and I won't do it if I ever play the game.
However, in my new issue of Game Informer I saw Sora, Goofy, and Donald in a Steamboat Willie level that kicks complete so it balances this out.
I'm still not as interested in KH2 as most of you, though,
I second the Darkwing Duck and Barksian/Rosian Scrooge demands, even if they were only cameos/minigames. Imagine how kickass it would be to battle heartless commanded by Negaduck, or piece together a McScrooge story a lá 100 acre wood in KH 1…
Personally I'm sure I'll never use the Stich & Chicken summons; I never used the option much in the first game anyway...I'll propably survive the Pirates and Tron worlds too, even if their designs are out of place.
But I really, really wish Disney and Pixar relations weren't so bad...Facing Hopper or Randall as villains would be awesome.
But my greatest wish for this game would be for it to have a "Great mouse Detective" world, where you get shrunk, and must defeat Ratigan on the Big Ben...
I have no idea why everybody is so up in arms against the 'Pirates of the Carribean' world. I think it's one hell of an awesome idea/world. Sure, it might look out of place with the other cartoons, but that's only a minor inconvience in order to fight along side Captain Jack Sparrow.

According to whom? Animation is animation. Disney has been an animation pioneer and I just see them trying to do the same these days. Granted I haven't seen much of it but there's a lot more competition these days ya' know?
I thought "The Incredibles" was pretty good, the characters might make good additions, but that's just me.
@omae:

The vast majority of people that I know and the websites that I read think that Disney made a critical error abandoning cel animation in favor of CGI. If nothing else, it puts them in direct competition with Pixar and their recent product is not up to that same level.

As far as major animation studios, there are fewer of them now than there were back in the mid-90s. Disney is more or less switching animation styles without addressing the larger problem of creative stagnation that has been all too apparent in their last few releases.

Complete opposite for people I know. So much for vast majorities standing for anything

Hmmm, aside from the occassional Don Bluth (sp?) classic I don't remember much of anything else out there making major animated films other than something related to Disney….cept for Charlotte's Web of course.
These days it seems cgi films are coming out of the woodwork, some from places I've never even heard of and a good number of them are pretty damn funny.

Well, many of the animation sites I read are traditionalists, so it's a bit different.

Several of the larger studios had feature animation departments in the late '90s and early 21st century, which was larger to capitalize on Disney's success with The Lion King. Most of them had a very disparate level of quality in their product.
Off of the top of my head, the following theatrical films were released during this period:
Fox: Titan AE
Warner Brothers: The Iron Giant
Dreamworks: Prince of Egypt, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron
There were a few other studios as well, but I can't remember what all they released off the top of my head. Some of them faded into obscurity very quickly and the deluge of mediocre cel films as well as bad marketing resulted in several of these studios switching to CGI or closing their animation departments outright.
These days it seems cgi films are coming out of the woodwork, some from places I've never even heard of and a good number of them are pretty damn funny.
To my knowledge, the vast bulk of the majorly successful CGI films have come from four different studios: Fox (Ice Age), Dreamworks, Disney, and Pixar. Pixar's first solo film won't come until after Cars.
Could someone post the scans so I could gouge out my eyes and eat them please?

I don't think it's the fact that it's a live action movie, it's just that in KH 1 the newest featured characters were from Tarzan (excluding FFX kids). The movie was still somewhat recent, but overall the entire cast of disney characters and worlds produced nostalgia. I don't think the "pirates" world is going to achieve that, and I have a bad feeling we won't get the right "va"'s.
…HOLY CRAP!
Now they only need a character from FFIV, and I would be in Heaven.
Holy Shit!! Is That Setzer???
Setzer indeed!
Where the hell is MASH!?!
Is that…Setzer??
Woah.
And chibi FFX-2 gang!
Nice.
Before I was kinda iffy on the game…
But after reading up on it, I can no longer contain my enthusiasm for it...
I mean c'mon, Setzer?! The awesomeness is astounding.
I only just found out. I love Setzer. But I love Celes more, so I'm a leetle bit disappointed she's not there. Yet. But Setzer alone has sold me the game. Well done Square-Enix, I thought you were only going to be PSX Final Fantasy snobs.
I'm really glad Vivi's gonna be in it. And Stitch! Ah, both my dreams have been answered.
Lion king world is a big YAY for me. Chicken little summon is a big NAY for me, but like other people have said i'll just not get and use that summon XP
Seems to me like Setzer was hurled through the KH time machine, an infused with Ansem and Bishonen Genes…
And Chibi-FFx-2 possé is yet another summon I bet I'll find myself not using, by principle.
I don't know if anyone knows but they gave out the main song for KH2 which is Passion but I don't know who it is by.

Wait for the timer at the bottom to finish and enter the code given, download then enjoy.
A four minute preview with Utada Hikaru's single, Passion.
After seeing the trailer 5 times already, I may have to sell my soul to Satan himself just to get the game early.
If the link sucks bandwidth from the forum, I'll gladly remove it.
Sweet mother of all that is holy. My want for this game just increased by 250%.
Also, I've heard that this has been out in Japan for half a year, this isn't true, is it?
From what I've heard, this is the latest preview.
Also, I've heard that this has been out in Japan for half a year, this isn't true, is it?
Nope.
Comes out on the 22nd of this month. I've found my Christmas present.
A few more weeks to the release!
YEAH.
Oh, by the way, if anybody needs this, it's not only for OP games.
Uhm, it has been rumourd that KH2 got 40/40 by Famitsu. THAT can't be possible, can it? Isn't like Ocarina of Time the only game so far to got that? OH SHIT, if it is true. :)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Famitsu
Only 5 games got a perfect score. We'll have to see if KH2 is number 6.
It just HAS to.
This is the most hyped about game in the past few months!
Intro FMV, among other cutscenes are out.
It's about 5 minutes long, and waaaaaaaaaay better than KH's intro. Ah, it's gonna be a long three months. @________@
And KH2 got 39/40 from Famitsu. Wahaha.
2 days!
Ships on the 23rd, will probably arrive by the 30th.
OH MY GOD.
This game is freaking awesome.
I nearly wet my pants when I watched the intro.
Been playing it today…bought the last copy..sold out so fast.
The gameplay is extremely smooth and the plot....it thickens all the time....
I'm in the 1st stage....Twilight Town.

Mine is shipping today, according to Play Asia.
It's been all over the internet since the 21st. Gonna get the ISO as a back up, and wait till it comes in the mail to play.
It's times like these that I wish I knew Japanese. We have to wait three more freaking months!
Oookay….just finished watching the opening video for the 6th time today...
Ah you lucky buggers who got the Jap version. I rather the US version. I believe there's more to it then the Jap xD
Out-Of-Topic = I'm ignoring my own thread i created xD

I agree with this. Probably going to be a repeat of the first one.
KH2J
KH2 US= Same game with some extras.
Then the catch.
KH2 Final Mix = US version with extras and English voiceovers, and then the J-exclusive extras.
The ending movie's out! O_O
Y'know, the temptation to be spoiled is too great.
Kingdom Hearts 2 Trinity Master Piece is the Final Mix I think
Please stop tempting me! My will is weak!
Scrooge McDuck is in the game. Enough said. (Not telling where, I want YOU to be suprised.)
