I've reached a point where I'm virtually impossible to shop for. So I got stuff for my birthday, which consisted of an annual of editorial cartoons (I have six or seven of them), a box of chocs, about 90 dollars, and a 1910 100-rouble note (the result of me specifically pointing at one in a coin show and saying to the gift giver "get that one.") It's sad to have to go up to someone and say "Here, buy this", but that's how it always works. Last year, I did a similar beg for Gargoyles series 1. :D
I then took the money to the shop my college operates that sells their spare goods, and bought a 5-year-old 21" monitor. Happy birthday to me! XD Mum immediately says "I was GONNA get you a gift-certificate there, but I didn't think you'd want anything that expensive there" This left enough money for me to pick up a couple volumes of Death Note, and I'm trying to decide if I want to get the Colour Walk. It adds nothing to the plot, but if the colour spreads are large, I could shred it and pin up my favourites.
