I've searched the forums, checked other sites, the wikia… I haven't seen it anywhere. You sure you aren't just recalling speculation on the forums or a fake spoiler?
Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
-
-
@Fire Fist:
Maybe in an SBS, then, but I know that somewhere it was said he had the "Castle Castle" fruit. I'm not making this up or imagining it.
Then perhaps you should try finding it to prove that you're not imagining it or making it up.
Or you can be like TLC and scoff at the "evidence card."
-
I remember it was a speculation but it is never confirmed.
-
@Fire Fist:
There's a thread Greg, a poster that's no longer active, posted a few months back. He translated parts of One Piece Green for us and part of it listed the Supernovas and their powers. I guess some people easily forgot this information.
I just read Green and there is no information on any previously unnamed devil fruits, including Capone's fruit.
-
I also searched a bit if Capone`s ability was ever mentioned so far.
Nothing official has so far been released as far as i can tell, just a few describtions which say that he is build like a fortress.
(that could be the mistake FFA, because i was also somehow thinking it was already mentioned..but it was never confirmed, just a describtion)
Because of obvious reasons many sites assumed that it has to be some kind of castle-fruit.
Others suggest it could be a tank-fruit.(because of his piratecrew name) -
My first impression of Capone was that he had the shrink shrink fruit and was a modified human built like a fortress. He keeps 99% of his crewmates inside his body.
All this discussion about One Piece Green has me wondering. Are there more parts of One Piece Green that haven't been translated on Mangastream?
-
I don't see why it's gotta be anything more complex than a castle/fortress fruit.
Ever hear of Occam's Razor, kids?
-
It most likely is the easiest answer, but the point was that it
s so far still not confirmed. Also by knowing the name of his fruit, it
s still argueable how it actually works.
(we all know it`s a manga, so it works without the need to be explained, but still by trying to explain it somehow logically makes more fun for fans) -
My post was more directed at Speed Jiru's.
Yep, it's not confirmed so we don't know, of course, but I don't see any real evidence for it being anything other than a castle/fortress fruit.
-
@Speed:

Like 6-10 parts more. It's a THICK ASS BOOK.
-
The All Blue is in fact the name of an ancient aquarium that is on Raftel. The aquarium will probably be rundown and Sanji's dream will be ruined :(
-
Fishman Island is an artificial place created by the ancient civilization.
-
I told you before, the name of Capones fruit is the "Sanctuary fruit". It's a homage to Sho Fumimura!
-
I think Shillew has a DF.
I am sure that he cant be equal with Magellan just with his swordfighting.
So….
Its either acid - opposite of Magellan or Dragon - Shillew means Death Dragon so yeah.. -
anyone else pretty sure buggy is one of the warlords now because of the carrier bat sent to jimbie?

Its either acid - opposite of Magellan or Dragon - Shillew means Death Dragon so yeah..Shiliew is endgame (part of BB's crew). I don't see why he or Mihawk would need a DF as top tier swordsmen. I'm not surprised that an end-of-series enemy is on par with a villain who was only briefly stopped by a bad DF match-up.

Lots of people do going by the spoiler and chapter threads.
-
I think Zoro's eventual escape is gonna mirror Rayleigh's escape at the auction.
-
Luffy has "life return" / "Seimei Kikan" which is why he heals almost instantly after eating meat and how he can use gear two in just one limb.
-
After Ace and Whitebeard, I'm expecting death will more common. So, a non-fodder character will die in FI arc (non-FB). And who knows, this might cause someone to become the next nakamate.
-
I was rereading some chapters and then a thought came when i saw this page :
Could it be that Law had implemented some sort of a tracker (vivrecard ?) into Luffy's body so he could react when Luffy finds One Piece ?
I mean he's there chilling and stuff waiting for the "right time", stating that One Piece isn't going anywhere and "stealing the throne", that's completely plausible imo.
Another thing that can support this theory is that he seems to know about the Ds and that may explain all this saving Luffy stuff and treating his wounds not because he's "friends" with him.
This also can mean that OP is only accessible to Ds (Ancient Kingdom, WB's sentence(?) about Roger waiting a D…etc)
Voilà.
-
But remember, he meant the "proper" throne, and for Law the proper throne is to be queen to the pirate king.
-
so in conclusion, Law is gay? (so confused)
-
Oooooooooooh, I see~~~~~
If Oda is setting up the stage for what I think he's going to do, than I must say that that would be very creative of him.
First, Credits to Therrester and anyone else who thought of this idea.
Now we all know that Otohime's goal in life is essentially to end the hateful discrimination and close the gap between Fishmen/Mermen & Humans. We've seen her preaching to try and accept them, to understand them, despite their wrongdoings and ignorance. Now at the end of this chapter, we have the Tenryuubito's appearance factoring into the Fishman Island Flashback. We also know that Jinbe said this about Otohime's death:
"You caused that uproar on "Fishman Island"….Since that "Assassination Incident" in Broad Daylight!
With this chapter, I think I can finally understand the symbolic meaning behind those highlighted words.
I mean, there was an "Assassination Incident" that led to her death over 10 years ago, but when was it stated that she was the target of said assassination attempt?
It is my belief and theory that one of the Fishmen/Mermen citizens, fueled with rage over the Tenryuubito's mistreatment of their race, (perhaps someone the knew was a sold as a slave), will attempt to kill them, but, in an utterly selfless act, Queen Otohime will take the bullet/kill shot, protecting the Tenryuubito and dying, ultimately driving home the point and her belief of accepting humanity as a whole, no matter what their crimes were in the past, for the better future of the next generation. Her dying to protect humans like the "Tenryuubito" will have caused a huge "uproar" on Fishman Island and also serve explain why the Citizens refuse to step on her picture and respect her so much now, considering how "annoying" they found her speeches to be in the past.
…..
That theory is actually pretty damn good. And Heartwarming to boot.
-
Jinbe will defeat Hodi and be badly wounded. Luffy will give him blood and Jinbe will accept it, showing how much he's grown with both Tiger and Otohime's ideas.
-
Jinbe never gave any indication of hating humans.
-
@Sonic:

Lol'd pretty hard at that surprisingly.
Jinbe never gave any indication of hating humans.
And no he definitely hasn't, but I could see the symbolism in the first mate of FT (who died from refusing human blood) accepting a human blood transfusion.
-

Jinbei already took a massive hole in his torso for a human. Law probably gave him a human transfusion off-screen. No point in the Fisher scene with Jinbei instead.

Pretty much.
I don't really see how Jinbe taking blood from Luffy would prove anything more than what their friendship and how he protected him here ^ already have.
Honestly it'd be more meaningful for a fishman like Hodi who does truly hate humans.Secondly, I don't think it's going to be a simple blood transfusion, I'm thinking Luffy's previous bout with poison and the antibodies in his blood will probably be an enormous plot point as well. So I think the person that's going to need the transfusion is going to also be poisoned. How or by who though, is something for thought.
-
-
@i:
Hyozo says hello.
Yeah, it'll probably be Hyouzou, the question is who is he going to poison and why because I kinda doubt it'll be Jinbe for reasons already stated.
-

I could see someone with 0 loyalty like Hyozo turning on either VDD or Hodi (as far as why I still don't know yet) and Luffy giving one of them a transfusion. Cue fishman epiphany, apologies, turning new leaf, etc.
-
I actually have the feeling that Oda is setting Hyouzou up for something pretty important. He's the powerful swordsman foreshadowed since chapter 86 or so, the only villain so far who has taken a blow from new Luffy and not had his ass handed to him, as the person above me says his loyalties are highly questionable meaning it's wide open what he might decide to do and he is an extremely naturally dangerous type of merman as a Blue-Ringed Octopus. I quite like the idea of him throwing down hard on Hodi with possibly both lethal poison and heavy wounds causing blood loss, and Luffy willingly donates his extraordinarily resistant blood to him. Yeah, that definitely sounds good to me. Only problem being that it's a Hodi-for-redemption scenario, which while it is what I would like to see happen most of all at the moment I'm not too sure about it after how Oda seemed to go out of his way to portray Hodi as even worse than Arlong was.
-
I think its gonna end up more or less like Kaku. Zoro and him will seperate on good terms.
I think Zoro is gonna fight him underwater and I wonder how his poison works on water.
-
I think it is poison by touch. Meaning that you will be poisoned when you touch one of his tentacles. So it being under water or not shouldn't be any different.

Blue Ring Octupi sting by their bite - not sure how it applies here.
-
well, since he apparently poisoned Luffy by accident I don't think he bit him by accident. I mean, you just don't unintentionally bite someone right?
-
It isn't real life… So it wasn't for sure a bite
-
If we want to get super-technical, Hyozo simply being a blue-ring octopus says he has access to blue-ring venom. Since he's a fish/merman, he can utilize it ways a blue ring octopus couldn't. In theory, he can extract his own poison and lace anything, like a sword, with the toxin.
In fact, I'm sure it's not a theory, that's good writing.
Hyozo = Blue-Ring = Poison
Hyozo = Swordsman
Swordsman + Poison = Poison sword. -
I read it as him poisoning Luffy by a "combat instinct". It can't be that Luffy punched a poisonous tentacle because the scar from the attack was on Luffy's forearm, and it looks in the panel like Hyouzou blocked the attack with his sword. He blocked the punch and at the same time bit / stung his arm in the heat of the moment. Though I do agree with the above poster that we shouldn't think he is restricted to using it in certain ways just because a RL Blue-Ringed Octopus is one way or the other, but in this case it's clearly said that he took the wound that poisoned him to his arm and not to his fist where it would've been if it happened through him just punching something with poison on it.

Hyozo = Swordsman
Swordsman + Poison = Poison sword.Hyouzou is a merman.
does this mean that he spat all over his sword? Gross.
-
I think it's reasonable Psychosis, and altough its kinda gross, just remember Mr.5 who shot with his buggles from his nose….

fisher tiger being freed from tenrubito wasn't just luck
he was freed by a 5 years of tenrubito who didn't know the nature of "class" and "slaves" concept
the kid, confused about why fisher tiger was sad, just freed him.
this is why fisher tiger feels that the hope of fisherman lies on the innocent children (children of the next era that does not know the brutality of enslavement)as the series progress, the straw hat crew meet with the child who freed fisher tiger
saint shalulia
the questions she initially possessed, why slaves are enslaved, why they look so sad, have been replaced by the ideals of the tenrubito, not because she's evil, but because that was what was expected of tenrubito. as the innocent child grew up, she was expected to meet the standard of tenrubito, to be brutal to the slaves and to think of others of lower rank as less than human. (the version of what sabo will be if he wasn't so persistent and defied his father)
she forgot why she released fisher tiger
but the straw hat will make her remember
-
Not a theory….just pure fanfiction.

The flashback will end in 2-3 more chapters.

Hope springs forth eternal - I like the arc, the exposition is delicious and tangy. But damn it I need some hard action main course to contrast the information. :P
