From previous discussions, it is true that I can't see Hodi asking Caribou for help. However, Decken does not seem to be the type to mind, he only wants the big mermaid. I can see Caribou and VDD making a secret alliance. For some reasons, I can see the rest of the caribou pirates coming back and joining the alliance.
Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2

If I remember correctly, pluton was only a counter weapon for whatever power the ancient civilizations had.
LOL i know, i thought we were saying dumb theories haha

There is a thread for that: Dumb Predictions

I've been thinking about the fight between Moriah and Kaido and how it ended. I always thought that Kaido let Moriah go, to live with the shame of the defeat.
But what if he didn't? What if Moriah disappeared like he did with Doflamingo? I think it would make more sense than Kaido not delivering the finishing blow and instead letting Moriah leave.
… and yeah, I 'm not buying the whole 'Absalom was there..' theory.
-
that would be the most plausible explanation though. I mean, Absolom's power was to make himself and other being/things dissapear and Moria never showed any sign of having that kind of power
-
Kaidou could have simply left the whole crew for dead with Moriah to find himself the only one still breathing long after Kaidou took off.
that would be the most plausible explanation though. I mean, Absolom's power was to make himself and other being/things dissapear and Moria never showed any sign of having that kind of power
Oda made sure to have Don comment on never hearing the Kage Kage no Mi had such a power so we the readers would understand it wasn't the Kage Kage no Mi. Dialog like that isn't superfluous. Since the Kage Kage no Mi is eliminated the next obvious ability that makes a person just go poof at Moriah's disposal is Absalom's. What other possibility is there? A random new ability is a better guess?
-
sorry I didn't make myself clear apparently, I actually meant to say that I believe that it was Absolom because his power is the only one we know of that can make things actually disappear.
-
I know what you meant I simply adding on for other guy.
-

Do you seriously think that Absalom has enough balls to go between the PXs and Doflamingo, somehow carries a guy triple his size, and then gets out of their safely? And without being noticed?
And Moria didn't show it before because it's a last measure thing, like a secret move.
Kaidou could have simply left the whole crew for dead with Moriah to find himself the only one still breathing long after Kaidou took off.
Ehh, that would be a rookie mistake, one hardly Kaidou would do.

I'm pretty sure Dofla's specialties doesn't include how DFs work. Besides it won't be new if he used it with Kaido.
Edit: You know, I just found something funny about Absalom's fruit. He's always visible before using it to hide someone else. If that's the only way for his power to work, then Absalom saving Moria is not just impossible, it's unthinkable.
-
Can't argue with stupid.
-
AHA! well, moving on..
I think were gonna see some sort of supernova confrontation early on straight after FI, with luffy and crew arriving towards the end of it and then that winning supernova being revealed as a big player in the next arc -
I can't see the Supernovas getting their own arcs. I think they'll play important roles in other arcs and the strawhats may fight or team up with them.
-
Do you seriously think that Absalom has enough balls to go between the PXs and Doflamingo, somehow carries a guy triple his size, and then gets out of their safely? And without being noticed?
Do you really think Hannybal would have enough balls to leave the safety of his control room to confront a bunch of high level escaped prisoners? Do you really think Mr.3 would try to stealth his way past the boss of the marines and save Ace? Lets not pretend we know how loyal characters can be and what they would be willing to go through for others. Wouldn't have to carry him either just turn invisible and hide giving Moriah time to send doppleman somewhere for a safe switch.
And Moria didn't show it before because it's a last measure thing, like a secret move.
So its more likely its some completely new move of Moriah's even after Oda hints that it was an ability outside of Moriah's capability?
Ehh, that would be a rookie mistake, one hardly Kaidou would do.
Lucci left Luffy to suffer and die plenty of times. Croc did it twice to Luffy. WB didn't finish off Akainu. How do you think Squado Survived Roger butchering his crew? He had a secret escape technique or Roger left him to suffer? Actually that is possibility in Moriah's case, Kaidou being evil like that, not shadow instant transmission.
I'm pretty sure Dofla's specialties doesn't include how DFs work. Besides it won't be new if he used it with Kaido.
What does that even mean? When characters say things its Oda cluing us in on how or what happened. He had him specifically say its not an ability of Moriah's to get the idea into our heads its wasn't something Moriah did. You have no reason to assume Don's words are a red herring.
Edit: You know, I just found something funny about Absalom's fruit. He's always visible before using it to hide someone else. If that's the only way for his power to work, then Absalom saving Moria is not just impossible, it's unthinkable.
Don't remember that being a limitation. Didn't he abduct Nami while invisible then made her invisible as well?
-
And Moria didn't show it before because it's a last measure thing, like a secret move.
So you're saying Moria had access to, but wouldn't use this "secret last resort move" when his massive castle/ship, peerless army of undead, empire of shadows and the ultimate zombie that he'd been waiting years to create were all being destroyed at the hands of the Strawhats? Yeah that makes sense.
-
buggy will be the new warlord. there are 3 vacancies, the other two will be a new characters?
-
its been suggested before. I don't think oda has ever addressed the letter buggy received from marine HQ after the marineford arc.
-
This has been discussed many a time and does not warrant an entire new thread. Try the threads Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread or the General Shichibukai Thread.
-
This theory came out the second the chapter where Buggy got the message came out.
Thread worthy?
-
haha. i don't visit here that much. i just read the databook 2 on mangastream and had to post to see its feasibility. peace. lol. :))
-
Do you really think Hannybal would have enough balls to leave the safety of his control room to confront a bunch of high level escaped prisoners? Do you really think Mr.3 would try to stealth his way past the boss of the marines and save Ace?
We already saw that happens lol. Those two had moments that changed them someway, Hannybal was touched by Magellan trust in him and let's not forget that he had the conviction of having to do his job to
become the wardenlock up villain and make the world a safer place. Mr.3 is the same thing but with Mr.2's sacrifice.Lets not pretend we know how loyal characters can be and what they would be willing to go through for their others.
Loyal? It's not about loyalty, it's about reality.
Wouldn't have to carry him either just turn invisible and hide giving Moriah time to send doppleman somewhere for a safe switch.
Ignoring how Absalom can get there, do you not see the huge flaw in this? Absalom can only turn invisible, he doesn't become untouchable. The PXs just need to fire randomly and they will hit them, I mean the first thing I would do is go check the place that a huge thing was just there a moment ago.
Unless Dobbeleman is just that fast, then I guess it would make sense.
So its more likely its some completely new move of Moriah's even after Oda hints that it was an ability outside of Moriah's capability?
You're not paying attention are you? I'm telling you he already did it.
Lucci left Luffy to suffer and die plenty of times.
Really now?
Croc did it twice to Luffy.
You're comparing a fight between, Supposedly, rivals and a fight between a rookie and a Shichibukai?
WB didn't finish off Akainu.
Seriously man!! Stop it.
How do you think Squado Survived roger butchering his crew?
He was too ugly to be killed. Simple.
What does that even mean? When characters say things its Oda cluing us in on how or what happened.
That's what I'm saying lol.
He had him specifically say its not an ability of Moriah's to get the idea into our heads its wasn't something Moriah did.
No he didn't. There is no translation that says that. All the trans has him asking the guy in front of him if he knew about this ability.
Don't remember that being a limitation. Didn't he abduct Nami while invisible then made her invisible as well?
Nope, he turned invisible with her.
So you're saying Moria had access to, but wouldn't use this "secret last resort move" when his massive castle/ship, peerless army of undead, empire of shadows and the ultimate zombie that he'd been waiting years to create were all being destroyed at the hands of the Strawhats? Not that you're question is good, but I'll answer it no less.
Enters Bartholemeo Kuma!!!!!!!

People just can't handle the awesomeness of asm00200!! Only the cool people do.

Seems like a waste of a fruit that Absalom ate if another one can do just that plus other stuff.
-
Well, theoretically, the shadow fruit can do most things the rubber fruit can. Except Gear Second.
-
@S.C.:
Seems like a waste of a fruit that Absalom ate if another one can do just that plus other stuff.
Let's be realistic here, the only reason Absalom ate that fruit is beep, beep and beep.
-
Moriah could have just switched with Doppelman after placing it a fair distance away. Like he did to first enter Oars to join the fight against the crew sans Luffy, and later when Robin tried to take him out.
Kind of coincides with Doflamingo mentioning specifically having never seen a use of the Kage Fruit in that manner. Rather than having Absalom doing anything since as said before, he's an invisibleman due to the Suke Fruit, not an intangibleman.
I don't see a problem with having gotten help from Absalom afterwards though to actually leave Marineford.
-
he could have "switched with doppelman?"
I don't think so, because Moria would in fact disappear but on that same spot he disappeared there would be doppelman and Doflamingo would have definitely know it was the Kage Kage no Mi that made him "disappear" -
I think we should use Occam's Razor here:
The shadow follows the body and the body follows the shadow. Moriah sent doppelman to Absalom waiting somewhere safe. When Moriah needed rescuing, doppelman signaled to Absalom, who turned doppelman invisible, which turned Moriah invisible. Then they switched places, both still invisible, and the shadow flew away to rejoin Moriah. Simple! ;-)
-
Why would he have to go intangible? He sneaks in invisable and makes Moria disappear. Its possible nobody knows about Absalom so they have no idea what happened (or Doflamingo decides it would just be more fun to let Moria live at that point, given his personality). As for the PXs, they seem to only be capable of following orders or shooting things they identify by sight. Remember their targeting system matches to bounties to determine who to attack. While they can still be ordered to do something like that, if nobody gave the order, what would prompt them to attack?
-

I feel like one of the PX's would have some kind of heat detection. Absalom might be invisible but his body is still giving off heat.
-
Heat detection is still based off of electromagnetic waves like light. And I don't think its a stretch to say Absalom's invisible powers make him undetectable by means of any frequency of electromagnetic waves and not just the frequencies that constitute visible light.
-
and How the light would be able to hit absalom's invisble body?
-

Yeah…that totally is a stretch, there is nothing pointing even remotly in that direction. Besides the logical conclusion is right in front of you
- Moria dispatches Doppleman away
- They change places
- Doppleman turns into those bat thingies and flies away
Close enough to disappearing and its a way to use his devil fruit that is plausible as we have seen it before. Please don't say Donflamingo would have known that Moria could do that, if I were him i`d keep such a damn good escape move a secret too.
-
By the way, I checked every trans (even Aohige's), and there is nothing to indicate that Doflamingo is excluding the kage fruit as the mean of escape.
All he said was: "He disappeared", "I'm surprised" and "Are you aware of a move like that with the kage fruit" to the guy in front of him.
-
which hints to the fact that the kage kage no mi shouldn't be able to do something like disappearing and that they actually were surprised because that is just what he did. Anyway, we all know Moria can't really disappear at all. If he could he would've done so before getting his ass handed to him by Luffy so it's an obvious hint for it being Absolom seeing that we clearly now his fruit is all about disappearing. It is the most logic out of all solutions.
-
Well, apperently he didn't use it because Absalom was there.
-
Luffy's mother is a tenryubito / royal

Tashigi being Kuina's twin will be too easy, too logical, too predictable and too normal.
It certainly goes against Oda's principles. The identity of Ace's father was beyond any logics. Brooke being one of the Rambar pirates was near impossible.
-
Tashigi being Kuina's twin will be too easy, too logical, too predictable and too normal.
Correct, a twin would be to predictable. My theory is she is a clone. Same tech that Vegapunk used to get all the Kuma clones perhaps. And why would the World Government go to such great lengths to revive one swordsman? because she is the granddaughter of a certain sword wielding Gorosei. O yea i went there and you heard it hear first folks.
edit: this would make zoro's master the son of the sword wielding ossan

I remember that Zoro's master helped the worst enemy of the WG but at that time he was not that popular. The scene of Dragon arriving at Zoro's hometown does not bring anything to the story except the pleasure of seeing young Zoro and Kuina. There must be some kind of meaning to all this.
-
the meaning is: strange coincidences.
-
Close enough to disappearing
Except:
"I'm not trying to be vague, he literally vanished on the spot!!"
He literally vanished, stated in no uncertain terms. That is not what Doppelman-switching does. It's simply incompatible with what Dofla said. And he also asked whether the mystery WG guy was aware of such a move with the KKnM. Not really logical to question whether it was the Shadow Shadow fruit that did it if a live-sized shadow of Moria appeared in his spot.
-
This is a random theory, that borderlines dumb prediction, but maybe Koala is Jewelry Bonney.
She was crying over Whitebeards death=Scared for the Sun Pirates at Fishman Island
Akainu said she ran away from the government=She ran away when Tiger freed her.
She is very emotional, from anger to sadness=Now she is very upfront with her emotions as a result of Tiger -
wow dude just wow

I know. Don't usually go there, like ever. But I found some similarities and…well just did it.
Another theory, the ship Zoro sunk at Saboady was Foxy's ship. Don't know if they were on it but the ships look very similar. And it would be in character for Zoro not to mention he saw Foxy or even just that he was on their ship until someone else brings it up.
Foxy's ship
!
The ship Zoro sunk.

Maybe he lost the ship in another Davy Back Fight and the kept the flag or something. I don't know but all I know is those ships look very similar.

Oda purposely made Moriah's past the same with "Naruto" the series' history.
Moriah was once a really powerful pirate (a bounty of 320 million berries), but then he got lazy and finally got defeated by Luffy (who's bounty was 20 million lower than Moriah) and then treated like shit by the WG. If only he didn't got lazy and keep developing his power, he would've defeated Luffy. The same with "Naruto", it was once a "above good" Manga, but because Kishi got lazy, the Manga is now nothing nothing more than a shitload of bullshit.
Oda purposely did this, but of course he wouldn't say it in public. That's why this is not a dumb prediction.

Borsalino/Kizaru has something important to do with the death of Otohime
