I don't understand why the critics are hating on this so much. I mean yea, everyone likes a creative sequel, however I think they did a very creative thing with the same plot outline. It wasn't exactly the same, just the basic idea; guys get drunk and drugged, lose a friend and don't remember anything from the previous night while having to go to a wedding. Stu gets something shocking done to his body, and an animal is involved.
But I thought it was very creative. They made Allen even more creepy(if possible) and gave Stu even more screen time(which is great because I love Ed Helms). Had a lot of shocking gross out humor and may have had just one too many penises, however it was amazingly funny.
! Yes, they used the same plot points, but in a creative way. Allen was shown to be insanely jealous of Teddy breaking up 'The Wolf Pack' and drugged the marshmallows with his medicine to have the gang to himself. Doug grabs the marshmallows early, Allen loses track of which bag was drugged and which wasn't, and they all get drugged.
! It was fun trying to solve the mystery with them as they searched for Teddy. Who knew Allen's cards about Taiwan would help them find him.
Only complaint I have his not having Doug with them. Yea it would have messed up the "3 best friends" song, but still Doug was the reason Allen met them and it would have been cool to see his character develop since we saw so little of him in the first film.
And Chao and the monkey…just win at life. Just win.
