Toei apparently wants Toriko to start as originally scheduled and not be delayed a week thanks to the earthquake.

Well i hope we have etleast next week a new opening because they can't strech The Flashback from Sabo anymore out now and of course Toriko will air next week as One Piece cross over so it defently makes sense.
But the thing about that is that it might not happened again because if One Piece would already have one episode more the woudn't have waited to place a new opening in with Toriko so there is less of a change well personaly i'd have it with opening 13 seening WhiteBeard and Ace alive in it and the opening didn't quite have the One piece spirit and the flow that are in most of the other 12 that i like so much about the One Piece openings.
So i hope it will come etleast in the Sabo Flashback but i'm not so sure.

You know what ?
That don't surprise me.
You know why ?
Because it's Toei, the walking Cocktease of the anime industry.
I'm sure the copywright infringement didn't help either.
Oh what , you aren't in any way refering to the recent lawsuit filed by Funi right ?
I don't know about FUNi, but apparently the music composer for Kai ripped a few of the tracks off from somewhere else, so they had to replace the BGM, and well, it's always easier for companies to just sweep things under the rug than actually fixing things.
No, I believe Crossword's referring to the lawsuit over the former composer of Kai, Kenji Yamamoto. He ripped off several of his songs from American movies like Terminator, and Toei responded by firing him and replacing ALL of the music with DBZ tunes.
Ah.
Toei, the Brave, the Proud, the cockblocking pussy.

Well that makes Kai even less of an original experience now doesn't it ?
Finally caught up.
Good episode but I didn't feel much sadness for Luffy crying. It disturbed more than anything else. It followed the manga exactly but it being animated was just weirder I suppose. Weirder than it already was.
So this means the opening is on the 10th correct?

Probably, but also it can be on the 3rd, together with the crossover.
Sorry for my bad english.

Wait, is the crossover being counted as a One Piece episode or just something in it's own world? I am a bit confused on how this will be counted as.
We're not completely sure yet, or if it'll even be simulcast for that matter. If it really counts as an episode, we should be seeing the new opening next week, though.
I felt it wasn't as emotional as the manga. I think it would have been much better if they cut to him staight in the forest. When they want to make a dramatic moment they shouldn't have Luffy getting chased and dogpiled by random heart pirates, him throwing the boulder was also kind of poorly animated.
Though the anime is making me like Law more, and the filler wasn't that bad.

I read on Wikipedia that it will be counted as episode 492 but don't quote me yet as it might just be someone counting it by their own accords. The opening's title "Fight Together" sounds great for Luffy and Toriko having to tag team with each other.

Brownbeard's name sounded weird. Wasn't it "Chi hige" or something along those lines ?
It's "Chahige" - in Japanese, brown is "chairo" meaning "tea color". So technically his name could also be translated as "Teabeard"…
! …which may be part of the reason he was ridiculed by Hawkins.

Omg… and Kai had such kick ass music too. Now I have less reason to resume with where I stopped watching... damn. I'm really starting to hate Toei now... Couldn't they just remove the songs in question? Lazy bastards.

Who dares hate on the magnificent power of tea ?

This is Toei.
When there isn't a way, shit happens anyway!

Damn Straight.
is it only me who doesnt like Luffy's memory and Sabo saga? better keep it hurry to the filler and or SH's training…
ok, i know Sabo will play a big role in the future. Man, cant do anything besides keep watching it...
and i dont like Hancock animated in this episode... man, is she have a big blue strange eyes??
Anyway, Margaret XD!!

I can't lie, I pretty much feel the same way. However, I did get quite sad because Mayumi Tanaka's voice acting is just that good.
It's just I thought going into it "I won't criticize the faces here because they were just as weird in the manga", but somehow they came out even weirder in the anime. lol

Pssh…
Kai is just a miserable shit load of fuck now.

Taking out all his music allows them to not credit him and cease any association with him. Not that it matters much, since the series was already at it's end when they did this.
Thing is now the whole relaunch thing basicly amounts to "we cut out the filler, watch this 20 year old show again !!!"
I thought the purpose was to try and introduce the series to a new generation that hadn't already seen it before.

Not sure if Wikipedia is considered "100% accurate" but it said that Episode 192's title is indeed "The Strongest Tag-Team! Luffy and Toriko's Hard Struggle!".
So my guess is yes the crossover is episode 192. Which leaves me wondering if FUNi will simulcast it?
If it is 492, then they should be able to simulcast it no problem, I think.
Well, they did simulcast the Movie 10 filler episodes with the Amigo Pirates.
And I'm sure Toei wouldn't mind anyway.
Yeah but I hope they don't need the rights to Toriko to do so.
Btw, has anyone gotten the May issue of Shonen Jump? I haven't got mine in the mail yet.

I'm sure Toei would be fine with it. It's advertising for Toriko in the states anyway.
Luffy's cry face was kind of weird not as dramatic and moving as say the fight between him and Usopp
I had very low expectations for this episode. I was expecting 20 minutes of Luffy doing typical emo anime drivel.
…I was pleasantly surprised with what I got instead.
